    I've watched Josh's videos for years. I am a prospective buyer, not yet an owner. I've been impressed with Josh's apparent honesty and the reputation of Bish's (and Haylett before that). I appreciate the external peek to see that my own video only perspective is apparently pretty spot on! Thanks!

    I like that he is talking directly to the woman also. So many times when my wife and I are looking at things to buy wether it's for her or is they talk to me. I just say you talk to her because it's for her. My mother was huge on that mannerism.

    I bought my 2021 Forest River Wildwood 22RBS from Bish's right there in Coldwater. When I found a couple things wrong with it, they went to bat for me with the manufacturer to get it fixed for free. It was there for 3 weeks, but that was only because I wanted a few things while it was there. They were really great about it all. They even did a walk through with me to get my approval after it was done. The entire experience was excellent. If I ever buy another, it will be from Bish's.

    We bought our TT from that exact store. NOT impressed!!! They didn't do a walk around to show us how to do anything. We were NOT asked what we would be towing with. We had to hook up the trailer by ourselves. We had a warranty issue and they were hohumming around instead of getting it fixed. Obviously, on camera, they tell you what you want to hear, but we literally dealt with them and it was like, hurry up and buy it and go! I would only buy from them again, if I absolutely had to!

    You can't blame roads for crap materials and lazy workmanship. Cars and trucks are on those SAME roads and they don't fall apart!! Poor craftmanship can't be blamed on the highway. If it is sold to hit the road then the builder should be held to the standard of competency to build a product that is road worthy. Shoddy workmanship is the reason things break, not the road conditions.

    • @2KrazyKampers
      @2KrazyKampers  2 месяца назад

      There is a huge difference between cars/trucks and RVs. Cars and Trucks are made out of metal and bolted and riveted together. RVs are made out of wood and screwed/nailed together. When you shake and rattle wood thats screwed together, it will come loose over time. They could absolutely use heavier wood and more screws however that would significantly increase the weight and cost of the units. Many people would not be able to afford them and you would have far fewer 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton towable RVs. I can also tell you the roads we experienced up north even rattled loose some of the trim in our F250

    • @DraggonCanoe
      @DraggonCanoe 2 месяца назад

      @@2KrazyKampers I haven't had a lot of experience with RV's but I have owned several boats and I have never had the same problem from any boat that I see people have from some of the newer RV's. And a boat takes far more pounding than any land vehicle other than a Jeep, of which I have owned many. I have put millions of miles on Jeeps on trails and roads and have never had any piece fall off or fitting back out. Brinkley is the only manufacture at this time I would trust to produce an RV that I would consider road worthy and up to a decent standard. Simply put, if something is made to move it should be made to stay intact while moving, anything otherwise is simply incompetency or just not caring about the quality of the build. I just refuse to believe that we can put men on the moon but we can't build a simple vehicle that won't fall apart if it is moved.

    • @2KrazyKampers
      @2KrazyKampers  2 месяца назад +1

      @@DraggonCanoe I understand what you are saying but again, RV's are made to be light and affordable. Boats that are roughly the same length of an RV weigh significantly more. You mention Brinkley. Brinkleys are nice RV's but they weigh and cost significantly more than other RVs. For example, the Brinkley Model Z air 285 has an MSRP of $88,000 and has an UVW of 9242 pounds. The comparable Alliance would be the 292RL or the 294rk (both are the same length as the Brinkley). Both units have an MSRP of $57,000. The 292rl has an UVW of 7486 pounds and the 294rk is 7156 pounds. That means the Brinkley cost $31k more than both Alliance RV's and weighs 2000 pounds more. Also, Brinkleys are having issues as well

    • @DraggonCanoe
      @DraggonCanoe 2 месяца назад

      @@2KrazyKampers I admit that everything made has issues, but the difference in the build process and the quality of material in the Brinkley far outweighs the difference in cost. But think of it this way also, look at light aircraft. The cost of a new small airplane may seem high but knowing that it has been very well built and tested is an absolute necessity at a mile above the ground. If I were towing three to four tons behind me and had the responsibility to ensure not only my safety but the safety of everyone around me I would want that same assurance in the tow unit. And that is something I would feel confident with towing a Brinkley, not so much with other brands. I have known many people who live in their RV, they travel from one construction job to the next. That person has to know they can move their residence at any time over many miles and arrive on time and in one piece. Anything less could cost them their livelihood. I think most manufactures are doing themselves a huge disservice by not building to higher standards and not having stricter quality control. Three very large automobile companies nearly went out of business forty years ago due to the same issues that the RV industry is going through now. If history is ignored it will repeat itself unfortunately.

    I love Josh and his videos so when I reached out to Bish to ask about a purchase and then maybe a possible trade-in on my 2021 trailer. The price for the new one wasn’t bad could’ve been better but not bad but when they wanted to only give me $13k which other dealers are selling exact same one for 27k to 31,000 currently. He sent me a picture of the JD power connect. I’m not sure how that blue book works, but it sure is a lot different than the RV books. His says 17k used retail. No way would an rv only 3 years old drop 20+k. They have a used 2023 same model on their lot for 35k sale price. 😢

    • @kal7049
      @kal7049 2 месяца назад

      That’s how the dealerships price used trailers to make a profit. They purchase a trade in for $13K (50% of resell value) and then resell for $27K. Call them back and ask for $25K for a trade in value. They still make $2,000 profit.

    • @2KrazyKampers
      @2KrazyKampers  2 месяца назад +2

      Unfortunately thats how trades work in the RV industry. JD powers does a pretty good job at RV values. When we sold our previous RV, 4 different dealerships offered us around $11,000. We sold it privately fro $24. It also had about $16k in upgrades. On average, RV values go down between 30-40% as soon as you drive it off the lot.

Well we waited a few days for them to go through it and we got the call it’s done . We went and picked it up and asked what all was done . They said everything was checked and even the wipers were changed , we were lied to nothing was checked and they wouldn’t do anything about it . We went home and changed fluids and wiper blades . Wow this was disappointing. This was in Meridian , Idaho . Be careful of RV sale lots . The are very nice until you sign on the dotted line

    • @2KrazyKampers
      @2KrazyKampers  2 месяца назад +2

      In my opinion, very important. RV’s are built by hand. After they are built, they are driven on the road (sometimes over 1500 miles depending on where you purchase it) to the dealer. Things shake loose while driving. In addition, there are several components like AC’s, stoves, fridges that come from other manufacturers. Think about buying a home, should you buy one without having an inspection done? Inspectors will find little things that you dont even know to look for. They pressure test propane and water lines, they check all appliances, inspect the roof, check the electrical and more

      Also ck all caulking. We purchased a previous year on sale. I don't believe they kept up with outside maintenance, while it sat on their lot for a year. I honestly believe we had water damage from this, before we bought it! We didn't know better.

However Jesse definitely wasn't no slouch on his RV information. I've used the service from the Meridian location and have very mixed feelings about it.

Said " we dont do real well with trades. You can try selling it yourself" I was there a few months before that looking at an in stock unit and got decent intrest and they even offered me a decent trade price. Same sales person both times. So unless its an instock unit dont waste you time at this place. Went up state and got 7k more for my trade. Never again will i step foot in that store.

      After selling our RV, we found most dealerships dont really want to take trades. We were only offered $10k-$11k for our Grand Design at 3 different dealerships even though JD Powers had it estimated at a value of $20k and that wasn’t even taking into account we had over $15k in upgrades added. We ended up selling it on our own for $24k

      Honestly, I don’t think any dealers tha give the best prices on the units they sell, can give high trade in prices? I’m thinking used rv are hard to sell because you have no idea of hidden things like are the sealers failing on the cap rails, etc. I talked to Bishs on the phone in Coldwater, they were nice, gave great price since my local one didn’t carry Jayco. The shipping from there to Richmond made it not work, but I really like Josh, and now, this sales guy too.

    Not really a news based video is it? From the little I watched. it's looks like an infomercial for Bish's. Don't get me wrong, I am sure they are all wonderful ppl but people trying to find the truth about anything do so covertly with hidden camera and the like.

    • @2KrazyKampers

      You can not upload hidden camera videos of people without their permission. If the camera is in plain view, then they don't have a reasonable expectation of privacy. The salesman did not know we were going to film. We showed up and slapped a mic on him. He was not prepped or anything. We were not paid by Bish's RV and did not purchase our RV from them

      Glad you think thats what we were doing. Bish's RV is buying up dealerships similar to other companies. They are touted to be a better company so what is wrong with going there to check them out. When a company says they are offering something like Bish Fix and thats why you should shop with them, what's wrong making a video about its. We have requested other dealerships allow us to film and have been told no.

      @@2KrazyKampers I am not accusing you guys of being paid shills or anything like that. It just seems you are associated by the way you interact with their RUclips host and the staff, or at the very least it is obvious to them they need to put on their PR glasses knowing the video is going on popular RV RUclips channel.
      I am not familiar with your channel. This is just my observation surfing RUclips and clicking your video. The title made me think this is more of a "secret shopper" thing, which has value in demonstrating what real-world experiences are like. If a Secret Shopper went and told the staff about what they were doing, the staff would know to put on a show, so there would be no point.
      No problem with your video at all. Just the way it's titled is misleading IMO.

    This video does not represent the experience I’ve had with Bish’s RV. All they wanted was my money and then tried to sell me a $13,000 extended warranty. I hired a certified RV inspector for this new grand design and he created 137 page list of items that he checked out that either was OK or needed attention. I passed this list onto the salesman which he passed it on to the technician to take care of and to address the problems. Upper managers intercepted the list so none of these issues were addressed until I got there to pick up the RV. I had to stay there the entire day with a technician to get these issues addressed and repaired. I should have walked. I recently was doing some maintenance to the grand design fifth wheel, which I have only had since September of 23 and noticed there were cracks in the hubs. I sent an email to the salesman to inquire about how to go about starting a warranty on those cracked hubs. No reply just crickets. I am sure that not all dealerships are the same but the one I dealt with will prevent me from dealing with the Bish’s RVs company again. Buyer beware!

    Great Video. Thanks. Q: On the Bish Fix thing after sale, isn't the repair priority only in the first 30 days, thought I read that somewhere in the terms. I will NEVER pay for a tech to walk around with an Inspector., Walk... The scam tech fee is to pay above the warranty repairs they get reimbursed on from the manufacturer. RUN... Bish is still on my list for a new Alliance Avenue. Q2 Which Bish's Carry Alliance @JoshtheRVNerd

    • @2KrazyKampers
      @2KrazyKampers  2 месяца назад +1

      As far as priority, we can only tell you what they stated. I think the idea behind the Bish Fix is to be able to lower the amount of time the rig spends in the shop. If they can get it diagnosed through video calls, parts can be ordered and then when they come in, you can bring the unit in for installation. Many times, RVs sit in repair shops for months just waiting for a diagnosis and then they have to order and wait for parts. In speaking with the owner of Bish’s, he said around half of the issues can be solved without ever having to bring the unit in for service. I think the “tech fee” for having a tech walk with an inspector is a way for dealerships to discourage the use of an inspector.

Placed a deposit , was passed from dealer, to dealer, to dealer with little or no communication. Don't buy from any Bishes dealers in Montana. Totally incompetent and ....we didn't get our dream trailer. Horrible experience resulting in no desire to ever do business with them.
