Yeah this has been going on for 5 months a least. PC's have a work around, consoles do not.
whats the pc work around cuz this annoys the fudge out of me
I have the same bug, but i can't load a previous save game, then... I'm fucked...
is there no way to stop the bug?

i have this same problem on a ps4 slim and in got like two large generators to it and it still dont work 😠😠😠😠😠😠😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
How to fix it
I just sat in the chair and once i moved he then sat down and it works fine now.

no it's not, not for everyone apparently. I just got this bug, may be because of mods, may be because I took the castle before getting Garvey but, OTOH and possibly a related bug, he wasn't giving me any missions either. And that latter may be because I've got so many settlements and caravans set up. Whatever, I got Garvey to go with me, presented the Castle to him and had him say, Wow.... but the other minutemen didn't come in, and when I used command line to bring in the radio operator he would just say it needed power. Tried everything to get him to sit down including changing the command permission on the radio and assigning another to it (both the settler and radioman froze, wouldn't do anything) tried leaving and coming back, tried setting radio up with its own seperate power (2 large generators for 20 power). I'm trying now to get the arty to do the test fire and then we'll see what happens
@@ret7army yeah I got the bug too so I'm wondering if it had something to do with the fuse box electricity wireless that gave me 10,000 electricity for my settlements that I downloaded I feel like that's when a lot of my problems started I'm on PS4 did you ever fix it or find a workaround?
