Came for the Zomboid, stayed for the Fallout! I haven't played F3 in years and this was a lovely (albeit bloodsoaked) stroll down memory lane. The scope of that game blew me away!
Honestly the story is actually good but requires patience. Much of it is attached to the side content and when you skip it the main story feels empty as fuck. I use broken Steel as my evidence of this because the DLC sucks without the side content and Operation Anchorage normally suffers because of a lack of side content

I like the story. It's not Shakespeare but it's serviceable and fulfills the purpose of propelling g you from one locale to the next. And, as you said, exploring the map is THE best part and it's still my favorite Fallout because of the map.

I've tried the no "fast travel" thing. It's a hassle when you have sticky, shorty, red, Sydney, Jericho. On very hard difficult. But that's what makes the wasteland journey. Save after every battle
The difficulty does not make them health sponges. Once you pass level twenty, they start to die quicker even with power armor. Right now, i'm in point look at Level Fourteen, and they can still hold their own.
This popped up in my recommendation so I put it on while sorting some stuff and it was both peaceful and interesting. I dig your selection of music. Awesome work dude

Definitely do it in real life when you're done. Spent a week over in that area and it was very fun. Goodsprings and camping in the Mojave were the coolest
Try doing a brotherhood father Elijah run you have to find all his logs in the DLCs and join him in the dead money dlc it results in a game over but you also have to be vilified by the NCR which makes it difficult to do quickly because that means you can’t do anything good for anyone NCR related which makes the early game really tough and preparing for the dlc nearly impossible
Fo3 may have it's issues but you cannot deny how much of a freaking vibe it is. I couldn't watch a video like this about fonv honestly, and certainly not fo4 despite thoroughly enjoying them all just about equally. Fo3 just got different with the vibes
I did the same too for both this game and New Vegas. It takes a while, DLCs included for both, but in the end….it is worth it. So much to see, so much to do, stuff to collect, stories to remember. Every square mile of both the Capital and Mojave Wastelands, I did. Max stats, unique weapons, and all. Nostalgia as a pro and longtimer of the series. 👌💯😎

Luck gives you +2 to every skill and +1% critical hit chance per point of luck, it does not affect loot drops in anyway. At least you were able to kill things faster.
im doing a tale of two wastelands playthrough and I STILL very much enjoy fallout 3, I haven't even gotten to new vegas yet because i've just been too busy exploring every corner of dc to care

Yeah I have no idea why he did that -- I always put it to 9 and immediately run to the Science Lab and boost it to 10 with the bobblehead. Usually before getting to level 3, to maximize skill points

Honestly in all my years I’m still not sure if I’ve been everywhere and seen everything this game has to offer. This and new vegas being my two favourite games of all time it’s staggering to think about what I’m yet to see. Even if it’s something small, I’d be happy. Also I Love this video!
Doing a challenge run on very hard where I'm trying to make an almost perfect character with no DLC. If my math is mathing with the proper clothes you can get every SPECIAL stat to 9, with Intelligence being 10. (You do have to waste 10 of your 19 perks on Intense training)
I think it’s prettttttty sad that fallout nv is the fan favorite of the franchise cuz fallout 3 should. It’s such a good game and is so underrated, great vid!

Been playing tales of two wasteland and wanting to do this but the allure of Vegas calls to me. I also have a world of pain for fallout 3 so I’ll be in dc for a while turns out haha
I recently did an explore all locations challenge for the reillys rangers quest. I think i got about 3600 caps. I even managed to get the vault 87 map marker which took me about 100 radaways
In goodsprings Nevada they are holding a 36 hour long fallout festival. My friends and I ate at the place that hosts it and the food is killer. They have a dope ass xbox 360 setup you can play on and look at all the art. We went to Primm searchlight hoover dam and goodsprings and Las Vegas. All very cool. Goodsprings was the best though

Playing back through for myself after maybe more than a decade and trying to go to every location cause when I was younger I was scared 😂. Also always thought 3 was better than NV but after the monstrosity of a layout downtown is with all the metros, 3 by itself seems like a dlc to NV
Yes it is from a mod - www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/20802. I just wanted to spice up the unique weapons that already existed as one gripe I had was all the unique weapons looked the same as the original, but it also added a few extra too which I just rolled with once the playthrough started

I'm currently playing this game right now. I beat it a while ago as a good guy. Now I'm taking the wasteland by storm. I'm over powered and over stocked with the good guns. Lots of caps and amo. And the alien blaster. I'm pretty much a wandering serial killer with a nounty on his head with the regulators. I pretty much go from place to place exterminating all life good or bad. So far, I killed everyone in vault 101 that was killable. All og megaton. Ten penny towers, the gouls that moved into ten penny towers, paradise falls. The yaoguay and dearh claw caves. Raider caves. Andale, gray ditch, paradise falls except for the dr which is the only person I intend to keep alive until I decide to finish the game. Then I'll kill her. I'm going to kill father if I can. And I fully intend to kill Amata the second I get the chance again. I freed the slaves and killed the slavers then killed the slaves. And anyone I make a purchase with, I then kill and take back my caps. It's actually pretty fun doing this run of the game as a bag guy. Even towards the end I'm going to kill everyone and then comic suicide by activating the FEV instead of project purity.y God im evil.
I hate that I'm like this, but I was instantly thrown off by your intelligence stat being set to one. This net you a total of 360 skill points to distribute throughout the game, versus the nearly 700 points you'd've had with an intelligence skill of 10. Just sayin.
I didn't even take fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Comprehension_(Fallout_3) (bc of the low int) and I managed to collect all the skill books too so could've been even more powerful!
will always prefer explroing the shithole that is the capital wasteland than the mojave , i remember finding some random bandit in the metro that was mixing wonderglue with mole rat meat in some machine , the meat once mixed heals you for 40 hp , which is pretty useful
Fo3 is a great game, story is ok i like it, but the damn atmosphere of fo3 beat any fallout specialy fallout 4 . On every game i did , i explored everylocation, same for new vegas and all fallout exploring the map with all your gear and character max is great and sometime you find some nice quest, the best way to play fo3 and new vegas, in 2024 so far is to play tales from two wasteland, and exploring all again 🔥 the only bad point on fo3 is the game too short .. even to explore all the map
