The Year's Midnight (SATB Choir and Strings) | Murmurations II | Marco Galvani

The second interlude from my cantata for choir and strings 'The Year's Midnight', written in collaboration with former National Poet of Wales, Gillian Clarke. These interludes are composed to imitate murmurations of starlings that can be seen around the UK, including free notation where all the strings move together in a general shape but with freedom factored in.
Conducted by the composer and performed by pupils of the Yehudi Menuhin School on 13th December 2023 at the Menuhin Hall.
