- My setting of this simple, yet powerful word joins many others by composers far more illustrious than me. And yet, I still wanted to contribute to its legacy. Composers are like that. If one is familiar with this tradition and repertoire, it should be fairly obvious that this is a bit of an homage to Randall Thompson, who set the bar mighty high! Alleluia, indeed!
Absolutely lovely ! Thanks for this beautiful work!
Good! I love it!
I love this piece and I love the Randall thompson alleluia. I’m trying to get into choral composing myself and am spending a lot of time listening to choral music to take inspiration from. Im curious if you have any tips for someone just trying to get into it. And I also want to know how you got the recording done because it sounds spectacular!
Thanks, and good luck with your undertaking! This particular track was done by the following: choraltracks.com/pages/composers
Stunningly beautiful!
It is a wonderful choral work. I would love to purchase the score in paper or PDF format. How can I get it?
I would love to perform this piece.
Thank you! You can conctact me directly: bobmooremusic@gmail.com
Bob, a nice piece. Although, I can't believe you released such a titled piece during Lent! Ha! Ha! Good recording but the bass could have been sung a bit louder, especially the lower notes😅
I am no slave to the liturgical calendar! (right) And you are not wrong, there can always be more bass...
I appreciate that the divisi are largely limited to SA. Makes me want to research for another alleluia to go with this and the Thompson.
@@kdwilliams59 Indeed, I would love to have a choir that could pull off a great amount of divisi in the TB, but it's just not practical. Thanks for the comment!
Lovely!
Very nice!
Beautiful!
This is soooo good
Good work! :)
Великолепно.
Bob, great piece! Where can I get the sheet music for my choir? I can't find it anywhere. Sandy
