It's totally fine to self diagnose from tiktok and attempt to find resources to help you cope with what you think you have. BUT literally most if not all self diagnosis actually involves a lot of research to an extent that you are literally learning about every possibility surrounding the disorder and you practically end up knowing almost as much as the person who may be diagnosing you in the future (which I'm assuming the video implied that he didn't do??). I think it's good that TikTok made him want to learn more about himself and got him assessed for other disorders. I do think it's weird that he calls it a "win" that he has autism and PTSD. I understand maybe feeling validated about some things you may have been suspicious of when it comes to how your brain works, but it's strange to view it as like an awesome thing to have like PTSD 😅 PTSD is not a great experience, and often autism can be not great too depending on your needs and how society treats you. So, even though his initial self evaluation wasn't completely accurate, I'm glad he has more information on himself now that can help him maybe deal with symptoms he associated with ADHD.
I'm glad people said that the guy was kind of an ADHD hater because I was getting those vibes but I wasn't entirely sure and now I'm more confident in assuming that we should probably be happy for him being able to get diagnosed with things that can help him clarify himself and also help him cope with some things he couldn't identify before.
I've done extensive research of autism (using respectable and resourceful sites) since I was 14 and first being told by my parents that "you might be autistic", and I've also taken a test by "Imbrace Autism" and many other reputable test sites several times, and they've all given scores anywhere from being very likely to be autistic or the highest possible score for a diagnosis. I'm self diagnosing only because 1) the medical industry is 5 years behind, and definitely not up to date regarding autism, and 2) the first and last "professional" I went to see to get a diagnosis flat out told refused the idea that I was autistic because I didn't show the stereotypical traits, and that I got a really high score (the stuff he gave me to do was for toddlers and young kids, basically. Keep in mind I was 14-15 during this).
I actually audibly gasped at 4:15 because I have this specific spot in the crease of my arm that I used to tickle or stab with the edge of a CD jewel case (lol) because it tickled!

Fun fact: Object permanence is actually the term used for babies when they forget about their parents when they leave a room or hide behind their hands during stuff like peek-a-boo. The actual reason many nd people experience something similar is because they have a weaker working memory, which impacts their ability to remember and be aware of multiple things at once. Usually, people use working memory to remember what they did in a day or where they left something, but ND people might have a worse working memory so they can't easily keep track of those things. Does anyone know the name of the dude with the purple and black checkered flannel button-down that's open and he has like a neck tattoo? I would love to follow his channel but I have no clue what his name is since it's so dang blurry in this video.
Gotta be honest, I felt super uncomfortable vibes from the dude who seemed to be happy he might have ADHD. Like, I understand that it's important for us neurodivergent people to find strength in what's otherwise a pretty hard thing to live with, but going as far as to WANT to be neurodivergent seems weird to me. Unless I misunderstood him and he was just happy he finally got an answer to questions about himself he never knew the answers to? Though it doesn't really help when it makes me feel like a fraud :/
Same I couldn't tell what he meant when he seemed happy to have ADHD or seemed happy to be autistic (outside of maybe feeling validated or feeling a deeper understanding of himself or things he has experienced). I think sometimes social media can make the idea of neurodivergence into something cool, quirky, or romantic in some ways because most popular neurodivergent content doesn't go into the bad/unpretty sides of neurodivergence and doesn't always include all types of neurodivergence (like some people still think that neurodivergent only applies to ADHD and Autism). So, many people who would consider themselves as people who want to be "unique" might want to be neurodivergent to confirm their needs to be seen a certain way. But I think that anyone who romanticizes neurodivergence is a part of a minority because most people demonize it (in a sense, and usually without realizing they are doing so). So I don't know if it makes you more uncomfortable to think of the idea of someone being excited about being neurodivergent as a very small group of people and generally not likely to occur.

Literally in the first few minutes as he's juggling everything and stuff is falling I wind up having to dive across and catch my laptop with wet hands because I set it on counterspace that was not as secure as I thought it was and it fell off. Umpire pops into existence out of nowhere: "SAFE!" 😂
That one was so me 😂 I wouldn’t have reacted so calmly if my mug of coffee fell and shattered. Even watching the guy in the video I let some profanities slip
OMG 4:04, SHE WAS SINGING EX-WIVES AND THIS MAKES ME VERY HAPPY!!!
STOP I WAS ABOUT TO COMMENT ITS THE SAME SONG IVE HAD IN MY HEAD FOR WEEKS
SAME!!!
Please don't promote this Keven dude, he made a whole career on criticizing valid ADHD creators.
Wow, that last one. Thank you 😭
1:40 Can anyone tell me their tiktok username?
This is going to change me & my family's life. I am also the primary supper cooker with sensory issues around cooking meat so we are all low in iron. So I would like to see more of their stuff.
Everything from 3:48 to 5:32 had me laughing, cause THATS ME. This entire video is me. I was just diagnosed with AuDHD at 35 years old and am getting a kick out of this community and finally finding my people.
Woooo its showtime!
3:53
Me: *pauses, then looks at my back, red from skin picking.*
“well.”
3:50 My version of skin picking is ripping the skin off my fingers-
I can’t believe I went my whole life so far not realising the bumper sticker thing. Bro 💀
I always honk at those signs and stickers. Is that not what they’re meant for?…seriously?!?
However…I am obsessed with the nightmare before Christmas apron
For the clip about stims. Specifically the pen clicking thing, and just for other random movie detail peeps, I call it 'The Boris Clicking' for movie fandom reasons...
Awesome video
3:08 Me having about 30 notebooks 😆
6:40 called me out good. Greetings from my toilet.
Yea, I was sitting in class biting the inside of my cheek, had been sitting in a position for a while watching videos like these, had to use the bathroom but didn't notice, and haven't drank water in a while. I have never felt so called out before
Everytime I see the “neurodivergent people need to see this” I’m like “pffft I won’t - wait whaaaa” I’m flabbergasted everytime
I'm neurodivergent and I HATE writing by hand. It brings me so much stress, my handwriting is terrible, and I also have OCD, which only causes so much more stress
The stimming things she shows…that’s stimming? Oh god I do all of those things. I was scrunching my toes when she started scrunching her toes. I sing to myself all the time. 🫣
wow lov that its called tuttin
I just got called out by the last clip.
I thought pencil flipping was because I'm an artist I no longer feel cool

Hello everyone. I have autism. Everything I ever did now makes sense. How do you do?

Does anyone know the name of the dude with the purple and black checkered flannel button-down that's open and he has like a neck tattoo? I would love to follow his channel but I have no clue what his name is since it's so dang blurry in this video.
Wait, wait, wait. Ur allowed to wear gloves wen ur cutting up food and stuff? This planet has mickey mouse rules and I hate it
TIL about the "Honk if..." stickers... I'm 34.
what, you don' t honk if you like pizza
OF ROYALTY MY LOYALTY IS TO THE VATICAN SO IF YOU TRY AND DUMP ME YOU WON'T TRY THAT AGAIN!
are we sure this honking thing is correct? because like...... wtf???
I am like the first video but I am not nureodivergent!!
why not just not eat chicken and be pescetarian or vegetarian?
These are personality traits NOT Autism traits.
Lol
