I never thought the "my battery is at 2%" line would be used in an attempt to decline a judge's request, but here we are.
Hahahaha that is...just..amazing lol
The moment he said that he couldn't go outside to show the judge what the address of the house he was at I knew something was off
“My phone is at eleve- two percent.” He’s a bad liar.
@@ProjectAsh-hv2hn look lol you gotta do what you gotta do at that particular moment.
I would imagine he’s one of the first in US courts to have that type of situation that can affect court lol
Every phone I ever used automatically shut off at 5%..
That ask for the abusers address and then ask for cellphone into “go outside and show me proof of the address” was a god tier bamboozle
IKRRRR I WAS FLOORED
he should have said hes on a desktop computer with a wired webcam xd
@@AlkaVirus he still would have been found out, the officer was on scene almost immediately
That was some pretty quick thinking.
@@poorthing i think the police knew both of their addresses and are positioned to knock on both houses if necessary.
But because the abuser correlated where he is exactly and the police knocked on his door and the victim got the door.
It was a close case at that point.
This judge is seeing it all! Just noticed he’s the same one who called out the guy for his name being “Buttf*cker 3000” on another Zoom court case 😂
That ish was golden
Just hearing him say Buttfucker 3000 is worth a million laughs.
Nah, he's the judge who has no sense of humor. Some people joined in the zoom court room laugh on it.
He’s from Michigan. My dad was in a zoom as a witness to a crackhead who stole their parents trailer and scrapped it at our junkyard. The judge is a fucking savage
Oh yeah now I Know why he looks familiar
The abuser was so bad at lying. He immediately was nervous when they asked him to go outside for the address and had the worst excuse. And on top of that, when the girl left the room, you can even see his head turn watching her leave!
Good part on that woman for catching that they were in the same room. And good job for that girl for continuing to turn her head so that they knew something was wrong.
And the light changes when she passes in front of a window and briefly blocks the light. It was obvious then.
She messaged the prosecutor who then messaged the officer who then sent his officers when she brought it up they where allready there
To be honest, it was the beginning of the best excuse before he blew it. I would have started to say something about a low battery before turning off the phone mid sentence and pole vaulting the fence outside. Then again, I would have never abused anyone in the first place.
@@RivieraStudios it’s also not like that excuse would get you far. The police would come after you and you’d only be adding to your potential charges
@@genericname8727 Probably not, but if I could get out of there and jump some backyard fences before anyone saw me it might work 1/100000 times.

"why" 😂😂😂😂😂booooy you guilty as a mug
"Why?"
"Why do you think idiot we've just been discussing that we think you two are in the same house"
FR like how stupid can people be 😭🤚
I can't believe a judge can even do that. "Go do exactly as I say or else" Thats very scary that a judge can you order you to do literally anything.
But in this situation, its completely reasonable to say "walk outside, prove it bitch" and hes like "uh..why." lmfao. And heres the funny part that you guys didnt get to see
After that happens, he declares "Defendant refuses to verify factual information to the justice system" which is why he got hit with obstruction of justice, refusing to verify in a legal hearing.
Also, why the hell are they doing this shit over zoom anyway. And if they had been in an actual court room, they'd both be in the same room anyway, right? I realize thats a subtle difference, but its not that big of a difference unless she knows hes getting cuffed right then and there. Imagine if she comes forward, and they dont put him away, well now hes going to kill her, like, even if he was innocent, he might lash out at her anyway. Dangerous shit these type of cases
😂

Under normal circumstances they would have been in the same courtroom together, so it’s kind of a weak argument to claim that merely existing in the same space is somehow maliciously ‘intimidating’ a witness.
@@bluecannibaleyes I very much disagree. Yes they are in the same court room WITH police, the judge, and witnesses. They were in the house together without any of those. This situation was a huge cause for concern

I know right, i cant believe we have become such massive joke that official court cases are being held over PHONES. Wtf is this world anymore lmao
Actually, I was just thinking how much easier it would be for victims if they were allowed to Zoom.
Getting a restraining order is horrific, because you have to provide your address to the abuser (so they can "avoid" you). Seeing them face to face is doubly horrific. We can't do anything about the restraining order issue unless the laws change. But maybe victims could feel slightly safer doing it on their phone.
In a court they are often facing the accused and it is very horrific for them. Zoom, possibly with a police present or social worker would arguably be more secure and safer for the victims. Perhaps the accused should have a designated telehealth site they MUST call in from until in-person court can resume. Food for thoughtz
Its actually better doing it on zoom. A person could be forced to arrive at a courthouse, lie, and then go home with the abuser and the court would've never realized. Over zoom it was much easier to catch.
The good thing is, at least his bond is canceled AND get an additional charge after he broke the law by using force to stay with the victim. Now I feel like it’s impossible for him to lighten the charges and crimes even just a tiny bit.

@@my_name_is_confusing5766 ah okay, didn't know

@Daulton Tawney what the fuck?
This was amazingly scary yet such a perfect ending. Way to communicate
I know what hurt him the most was "Take that cigarette out of your mouth" 💀💀🤣🤣
Bro, imagine getting away IRL but got caught on a Zoom Meeting 🗿🗿🗿
Lmao
And imagine its class👁👄👁

thank you, @Indian Streetshietters
It must suck to suck
“My battery is on like 2%”
Me as the judge: “It’ll make it to the front, get up 😑”
Yeah... provoke him while he's alone with her before the cops arrive. Thank heavens you're not the judge.
Yeah, nah, that was just pure distraction/ giving him a chance to prove himself. but it's probably mainly to keep him busy.
@@Mario_1611 well said Mario. Some people just don't have common sense.
That would just give him a chance to escape the zoom call and think up a plan.
-> Gets up, tells the judge "Okay, but im telling you it'll run out of battery"
-> Head towards the door
-> Manually power off phone
-> Come back 5 minutes later saying the phone ran out of battery
lol yeah 2% battery my phone will make it for another day and a half xD
Good on the prosecutor and the judge for their quick reaction to address the situation. The nerve of that dude to fuck with his victim like that.
Wow, I can hardly believe what just happened there.
The prosecution lawyer was so astute to realise the situation. Absolutely outstanding intuition. 👏 👏 👏
Wow, this victim is lucky she had such a sharp lawyer. Great job, Ms. Davis.
@@diggsonpointe6141 either way she did a great job!
@@m0rdefine Without trying to sound sexist, it would take a woman to pick that up and stand up to it...
that was the prosecutor and she is one of the best I've ever seen. really astute and she deserves all the credit in the world. it's nice to see one not already jaded and not being a criminal themselves. far too many of them are corrupt as he11 and do so many things to thwart justice.
not luck. the victim texted the prosecutor ahead of time and the cops were already there. it was a team effort.
@@braesidebikes4344 I'm happy to assume a high level of competence from the law in this case
You knew he was lying when he said he couldn’t go outside and show the house number.
I thought that too. Who would, knowing they had a court hearing on Zoom, not have their phone fully charged?
This is the type of lie that a "normal" person might hear and believe thinking: Okay, I don't want you to lose battery power (fully accepting his excuse as truth). Abusers almost always seem to come up with an immediate, plausible reason not to comply to a request. But you don't question a judge when he/she asks you to provide the evidence. Harris dared to ask why to the judge and resisted doing what judge told him to do. Bad dude, apology is far from sincere. Mary looked much older than her 21 yo bully bf. Her response to the judge was ambivalent (a house, my house), and the intonation when she provided the address is telling that something is "off". They appear to be in the same room, but I didn't see Harris moving about.
“Ummm” that was a dead giveaway haha
he said his battery was low??? gotta believe him right
@@jabjabgrab123 He lied about his location not wanting to reveal his lie. And the low battery could be another lie. Cops on site can confirm level of charge and report it back to judge. He got caught, and lit up a cig to calm him s lying nerves. I choose to not trust a word coming out of his mouth.
Omg I'm so shocked but glad someone in that meeting caught this way to go D.Davis I am happy about this he was the abuser and she being the victim well glad cops got to him before anything else took place congratulations great job and great observation .. Hugs to you from many many many many miles away bless your heart ❤💙💜💖
"Take your phone with you so I know you're ok." That's a boss prosecutor, way to be a fantastic person!
Don't forget the judge
"You've hit bottom and are continuing to dig"
Just wanna say as a young woman Ms. Deborah is definitely a woman I'll look up to now. I'm actually moved.
The police officer was also very quick and didn't discard the hypothesis light heartedly. It's satisfying to see people do their jobs so efficiently when it comes to lives.
Yeah he was seriously quick there. I had no idea he was in contact with an officer as soon as he saw what was up.
Yeah, I didn't even realize til I scrolled down at a comment mentioning it while I was still watching and saw him on the phone. I am amazed and feel immense gratitude for their actions.
Dude shut up
@@Gaibethebaptist no u.
ok nobody asked if ur a woman u just want attention lol
His expression when the judge says “walk out to the front of the house” is absolutely everything.
Bruh, the fact that Josh picked on what she was saying, and immediately asked for a dispatch to her house, is amazing, it's like,
"I see, i know how to help"
Without asking for "can i help" he just went and did it.
when i tell the teacher that i made my homework and she asks me to put the camera on the notebook but i didnt write it 🤣🤣🤣
