Honestly I think Spring Yard Is pretty Underrated. I like the music, the Boss, the background, the level design, it’s a great level that deserves more love, I agree with your opinion Funny British Man.
1. Green Hill Zone 2. Star Light Zone 3. Spring Yard Zone 4. Final Zone 5. Marble Zone 6. Labyrinth Zone 7. Scrap Brain Zone It’s close on which one is in dead last, because as much as Labyrinth Zone has the most annoying boss, Scrap Brain Zone has the most annoying stage to me in its 2nd act, and also it decides to throw you another version of Labyrinth Zone, which makes it worse to me. As for the top slot, I will admit that Star Light Zone to me has the coolest boss, as you can win by simply launching the bombs at him, but to me Green Hill Zone beats it everywhere else. Spring Yard Zone would be higher if the boss couldn’t get frustrating rather quickly, especially with the bottomless pit. I found the only completely safe answer was to start on the edges and move toward the center.
We come from very different houses. But you don't call him eggman which is the most important thing. Glad you enjoyed it. I do hope to do one on sonic 2 soon. I already have a rough idea on the ranking.

Even as a non-Sonic player, Labyrinth Zone is usually at the bottom with the epic Sonic drowning tune sending u into a complete panic. That lava in Marble Zone looks like burnt lasagne. Green Hill Zone is so iconic that the music is always synonymous with the beginning of Sonic 1 or Mania. Surely even i could do Green Hill Zone XD
Did you burn that lasagne in marble zone again. But yeah water levels are never that great and labyrinth zone was one of my first experiences of one when i was young. I think you should play mania at some point, it is a good game.
