Thank you for stopping for those hikers man, I see a lot of mtb. RUclipsrs just hall ass right through a lot of hikers! like it's only us on the trail, good looking out, I'm also a mountain biker out here in SoCal just ran into your channel this trail is sweet stay up my boy.
Thanks RC! Green's was amazing, we did it based off the recommendation that it was the best one when you were looking to get the most fun / effort ratio. Heard a lot of good things about Starvation as well. Hope to go back at some point.
Just making my way slowly through your videos. RUclips has started suggesting your videos at the top of my list when I get on, which is awesome because I absolutely love them. If you were to upload the unedited (or lightly edited) footage I'd watch as many hours as you had. Seriously love it.
You are so blessed with countless beautiful trails in the states :) Just looked at the raw facts on trailforks, almost 1000m vertical drop on 10k ... makes for a perfect ride!
You know, its always about pro and cons, for us its incredibly easy to move in the US, in Europe its just so easy to go visit other countries. I've been wanting to ride around Lago di Garda for a while now.
It's merely that such long natural trails like this one are rare in central Europe and oftentimes you'r not officially allowed to ride them on your bike - especially in Austria, where I live. We are still predominantly hikers area :) If you have the chance, go there, Lago di Garda was the epicenter of mountainbiking in Europe for a long time. And while it still is beautiful to ride there many prefer the newly built flowtrails that offer a lift to go uphill. While you can do this at Lago as well, a lot of the real gems can only be reached by pedal power :) Back in the days when I was studying I only had a 3 hr drive to Lago. Been there quite often, but bikes were 26inch hardtails with a crappy fork back then ;-)
Love the insight, I understand what you mean about hiking being more prevalent, I had family that used to live in Switzerland and had that issue a couple of times (mostly my fault because I was young and uninformed). 26" Hardtails must have been a great learning tool, if you can ride that, you can ride anything!
More than twenty years ago it was not that big of an issue, mountainbikers were a rare occurence and hikers usually wouldn't be too pissed when you rode alpine trails. Nowadays there's countless bikers and given the potential of todays bikes and the increased downhill speeds there's much more potential for conflict. On the other hand - especially in Austria - the tourism industry discovered mountainbikers and flowtrails are being built at an incredible pace. However those will almost never give you the same pleasure as a natural, technical trail with the variety like the one you rode in your video. And regarding 26inch hardtails ... yes and no. Like today it merely depends on how much you were willing to work on your technical skills and to ride difficulty stuff. Today I can ride features I never even thought about riding back then, just because my bike gives me the confidence to do so.
Absolutely true, flow trails are awesome, but there's something to just natural that is irreplaceable! I get what you mean about confidence, I noticed it too when I changed from the Giant Trance to the YT Jeffsy, and its not really because one was better than the other, it was simply because it fit me better and made me more relaxed, so yes, confidence plays a huge role!
Hahaha sounds brutal, one of those experiences that stays memorable for a long time. There's something about the high alpine unpredictability that's just so awesome!
Fantastic start to the trip, great flowy trail, 7 miles of heaven, i bet your hands were dropping off by the end, now thats what you call chunk at 8:15, brilliant vid mate :)
Philip is da maaaan!!! Beautiful narrated and awesomely rode our Colorado beauty, love the way you did this episode , excellent work as always, I am ready for the next one, thank you and cheers from Colorado!
Thanks Verdon! Its hard to make the beauty of CO justice with video but boy is it nice up there; enjoyed every second. We were also super lucky with the weather.
Thanks! I took my Bell Super DH for this trip, its a DH certified convertible helmet. I had it in full face mode for all but the climb to the starting point in this video.
That was serious fun. I loved that every time I thought something, 30 seconds later you were pointing it out in the video. Yet another ride destination to add to my list. How does this riding compare to Crested Butte? Considering this was your best ride ever I'm guessing, better, but if you had to pick one destination, which would you choose?
Glad you liked it Jordan! My view on Crested Butte is a bit skewed, I stuck mostly to evolution bike park and did not get to ride 401, 403, Doctor's Park etc; having done those would be a more fair comparison. That being said, when you're driving from Denver to Crested Butte, Salida is literally on on the way, so there's no reason not to do both in a single trip if you're already heading to CB.
YT Jeffsy 27. Absolutely love this bike, does well everywhere. I rode with this thing in Miami, flew to denver, did 3 days of shuttles, 4 days of backcountry riding with lots and lots climbing and a day of bike park, all on the same setup.
Hey man I’m James and I am a local rider and RUclipsr at Markham Park Florida and am looking for other riders to collaborate with to benefit the both of us! Let me know what you think!
Hey Daniel. Where do you live? The best way to find people to ride with is to ride a lot and meet them at the trail, second best is to use Facebook groups.
@@Giftig--Daniel-P Trailheads tend to be a nice place to meet people. If its not your thing there has to be a local FB group where you can join group rides. Maybe reach out to facebook.com/MTBFU/ to see if they know any groups.
Great video man. This trail is def on the bucket list. No humidity either 👍🏻👍🏻!!!
Thanks CJ! Hahaha yeah, the dry air is so great, you barely even feel the sweat.
You always have a quality video and and feature a great ride including some climbing. Fantastic.
Thank you Don!

Gotta share the trial, tons of people get their stoke in different ways!
Looked like a serious amount of fun!
One of the most fun trails I've ever ridden!
Awesome work Stefano! So many good rides off the Crest like Green's, Agate, Fooses, and Starvation! I need to visit this one for sure!
Thanks RC! Green's was amazing, we did it based off the recommendation that it was the best one when you were looking to get the most fun / effort ratio. Heard a lot of good things about Starvation as well. Hope to go back at some point.

Green's Creek looks good!
Hell of a ride, how was your ride of the whole imba epic?
Epic! Expereinced Rain, hail, lightning, burning lungs, cramping legs and a metric ton of fun! Amazed that all my grear survied the whole day! haha

Agreed!! :)
👌 super 👍
sick vid brother.
Thanks! 🤘🤘🤘
Beautiful country man. Enjoy!
Colorado is just something else!
Great video. Great trail system. Head to Taos NM and check out the South Boundary Trail...similar feel to Monarch!
Glad you enjoyed the video Goat! Monarch is amazing. I haven't been to NM yet, no plans for this summer, but I hope to make it there soon.

Thanks! That section was pretty crazy, we rode a few more that are like that but heavy descents later in the trip, some of the coolest sections ever!
I’ll be there next week!
Nice! Have fun, its an absolutely awesome place.
You were flying man! Such a beautiful state. Excited to see the rest of your trip.
Thanks Kyle! It was incredible for sure, could have stayed months lol.
Dude your bike took a beating! Colorado is just stunning.❤
Colorado is truly beautiful! The Jeffsy did so well on this trip. 8 full days of seriously hard riding and the only casualty was a broken spoke.

I heard "shuttle" so I am in!
hahaha after noisy hubs, its the best thing to hear when mountain biking!
Hi, great video. Can you tell me which gimbal are you using? It follows quite snappy and footage looks great.
Thanks! Its an EVO SS.
I rode Greens for the first time last year, such a great ride. Flowy, fast and great views. 🤘
It's absolutely awesome, perfect amount of rockyness to complement the flowyness.
Great quality, great video. Always a pleasure to visit your channel. Nice job kid. Cheers!
Thanks, glad to hear you've been enjoying these!
I must have missed some episodes....where's the full-face helmet?? Great video!

Florida its not!! great video, thanks for posting :)
Nothing quite like riding for hours without having to pedal lol
get me out there!
The video we’ve been waiting for
🤘🤘🤘
So is the YT holding up pretty flawlessly?
Yup. I've changed some stuff on it due to maintenance, but aside from that, its just basically ride it all the time and clean it every once i a while.
What are your friends riding ?
I kinda forgot to do that in this video, so I mention it in one of the upcoming ones lol. But, Yeti SB5C and a LiteVille 301.
What are YOU riding? Looks like maybe a YT?

Time for someone to try Revolution Grips, maybe?
Can you point me in the direction of a really good community? I'm struggling to stay interested because I'm the only one I know who wants to go MTB.
