at the end of the day, our grip is with how bad of a deck this is out of the box. The new Tashigi is definitely a house in a smoker deck, but genuinely this deck is not properly build around Black's color identity or curve and is baffling in that way.
Hina literally combos with Smoker. I actually won a tourney with this structure deck at the structure deck tourney. It ain't the best deck, granted, but it's good!
I think Hina has some potentialin Moria: Hina off the 8c Moria and then use the DON attach to use leader ability the same turn. Then you can propagate 3 bodies. Or you already have her on board and can do some Rebecca shenanigans too. The idea of playing out an 8c, a 4c, a 2c, and another 4c for 10 don is very nice
Smoker would be +50% better if smokers effect could reduce any character on the field down -1 cost. Cause then you could use your 1c searchers and use its effect on its own and give it +2k power with just 1 Don
Would I be able to just switch smoker for a better leader and the rest of the deck still be decent? I’m just starting and wondering who I could swap in or if smoker has synergy with something
If you lose smoker you lose tashigi, and a lot of the deck will still function under say OP07 Lucci or ST14Luffy, but you'll want to replace a lot of the other pieces with cards that do similar/the same abilities but fall under different archetypes to power their engine better. Top in and main combo/black power pieces stay like moria, rebecca, etc.

Yeah it's just that it's tied to only one singular leader currently in the game and at this point you play the leader to play that 1 card which is a hard proposition to make when the card isn't 8c Moria level powerful

That hina could cook in st14 luffy. turn 5 8k for a 7k leader swing and free activate leader ability every turn
I love that they’re redoing the OG decks but I feel like they could’ve just done a Black Tashigi deck or Hina switch up the leaders
Technically this and uta are the only starter decks refreshed, every other one was a set leader

I think the smoker unit is only good on doffy decks
That tashigi is broken. By far best card. Disregard every other card
