The most positive comment section ever. That's what good music does to people.
Yup
Fuck you

, true dat ! Call Me Mirko
, ha ha !
And to think we almost lost this masterpiece
I wondered why it popped up on my recommended...which was lucky because I hadn't heard this one yet. So good
I saw that Don Henley criticism, and tha reply" jus tryin to keep ure music alive old timers!". LOL. Good reversalDon!! We still fans!!
The blues cover of Life in the Fast Lane is blocked in the US, which is a shame since it was one of my favorite covers of theirs

@@FowlerAskew really? that's so lame :(
Wow. two guys a microphone and one hell of a lot of talent.
True!!!
That's not just a microphone. That's a kicke
ass microphone!
i like it but theres more to it than that. definitely some kinda effects on that mic it's super evident near the beginning.
I think there are two guitars there too :)
Theres one microphone pointed to the acoustic guitar. Also there's def a third mic being pointed at the electric guitar amp.
Carson has a soothing voice, combines great with Josh's voice.
I find Carson’s voice to be very similar to Paul McCartney and Josh’s is unlike any others really but his range is incredible
@@Kylesatre he has a much better voice than McCartney!
Reminds me of Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora
These guys make the best facial expressions.
Like Joe walsh hahaha
I love these guys but the visual is what's holding them back. They should be world famous but the facial expressions make them look like a couple of mental patients. It's an affect they should drop.
I should be managing them
@@mrknowalltellall572 People very very rarely get famous from just doing guitar covers
This made me laugh so hard
Try watching without music
I dont agree. However, it's horrible to look at
Any Eagles song requires quality vocals, and these guy nailed it :)
Another Eagles cover by The Other Favorites ruclips.net/video/ZxczSpvKjAM/видео.html
Certainly! Got the harmony vocal matched perfectly and greatly considering that it is only 2 of them and the eagles used all 4 in the band to harmonize
It's a Jackson Browne song.
@@harnesshouse , maybe this is why they left it up
Glen Harness
No it is not, he wrote it and Glen Frey helped him finish it, but is was an Eagles song.
Summer of 1972 - Summer before my sophomore year. My friend (who is a year older and has her driver's license) and I are driving around Nashville with the windows down and this song playing on the radio, turned up LOUD! Singing our little hearts out, we were. We were shopping for some back to school things but really, the most fun was checking out the guys in their muscle cars - my boyfriend drove a 1972 Nova SS and it was BEAUTIFUL :) What a time of life it was!
We were much more innocent of the world. No cell phones; just phone booths. No seat belt laws...most all of us would know someone that had died in a wreck from being thrown out of the vehicle by the time we graduated. We still went on "dates" where the guy paid for everything. We still went "steady"...we still wore their letter jacket or graduation ring with tape wound over the back so it wouldn't fall off our finger. Boys got into fights but it was with fists...no knives or guns pulled out. And to call the police and charge them with assault? Never! It was a matter of pride. Boone's Farm was our Saturday night liquor of choice....maybe the guys would have some beers (all bought by older siblings or cousins :)) Yes, we smoked a little weed but it was NOT the stuff of today. You 😘😘 could smoke a whole joint, tear up the local dairy bar, and still drive home. AND, we were good kids...our parents were raised in the Depression era so they were generous with us but we were still raised with those Depression-era values.
A lot has changed since then. Why am I writing this? These two young men embodied what the Eagles were then, not the corporation they are today. Their bright, clear voices herald a time when music was everything. It accompanied our lives like a glorious arrangement and to this day, for example, I hear this song by these two young men and I am taken back to the day in time of summer 1972,
Tremendous job, guys. Thank you for keeping the vintage songs alive (can't believe it's been 50 yrs). New sub here and I have been listening to your channel all weekend 😘🥰💕
You and I are the same age, and you've perfectly nailed a description of what my life in small town Oregon was like at the same time (I come from a guy's perspective, but everything else was the same). Thanks for putting words to what is a magical time in my memory. AM radio provided the soundtrack of our early 70s youth.
Ok boomer.
So well written! I was listening to this Eagles track across the other side of the pond in 1972 in England, one of my mates had a Morris 1000 convertible with a decent sound system you could wind up. Everything else resonates in your writing, but I think the most important thing is the innate purity of Josh’s covers, he is the ONLY guitarist/singer/arranger who with his carefully chosen friends is taking this wonderful music through this generation and beyond! Divine music it is, keep on rockin’ folks we love you 👏🤗🌎
Nietschze loves you from his grave hahaha........... @@haveaday1812
I loved going to concerts at Vanderbilt.
This is BY FAR the BEST cover of this CLASSIC. Its a suoerb nod to the original and original in its own right. Bravo boys!
Without a doubt!
Why do you southern hicks insist on calling grown men "boys"?
Especially the guitar intro, it echoes nostalgia these guys are good
Jackson Browne's version is damn good.
Hey Josh. I'm not sure if you'll see this, but i just wanted to say that your channel really helps me in my times of needs. I struggle with really bad anxiety and depression, and you give me a way to clear my mind. Thanks with all my heart.
I hope things are going better for you my friend.
You remind me of King Saul when I unclean spirit came upon him and David played music for him it calm him down you’re in the same position you have to recognize that anxiety and depression is a unclean spirit that is trying to rob you of your peace, And this is how you can know What I’m saying is true humble yourself cry out to Jesus Christ, ask for forgiveness and put your trust in Jesus and command anxiety and depression to leave you with authority in the name of Jesus and see what happens.
me too
Not alone brother, God Bless my friend..
Jesus is not made for everyone even though the Bible says that. Its not what most people think it is and what Christians claim it to be. Peter writes its better to have not known Him than to know Him and turn away. So just keep what you have if you cannot make the full commitment or you will lose your life like Saul did when He turned back. Most Christians think that Christ is everyone's quick fix. But that's not true....first of all its not you that accept Christ into your life. That is very much a lie. You must be called and chosen by Him. That's what must transpire first. He must call you to repentance, as He did all His disciples that He chose...they did not choose Him. He chose them. He called them to repentance. But modern Christianity is brained washed at church to repeat what their pastors and preachers say....and chase after them filling their pockets full of ready cash. Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing because they will fleece their flocks. Jesus is a very peculiar representation of God's Holy Spirit. He is beyond what men say. And turning to Him after you've been called. Takes far more than what Christianity teaches in their churches. Because they teach a gospel that's watered down by man's idea's rather than God's ideas by way of His Spirit in Christ.
This is a lesson that many cannot understand. Being Baptized into the Holy Ghost is more than just a ritual at church. It's beyond the true comprehension of most church goers. That's why they attempt to lean on their pastors rather than on Christ. They are subdued with principle and error. A brain washing and sorcerer of things both truth and untrue. The Truth from the Bible, but untrue through their own ideas and philosophies of human origin. Example: If you are attending a church where the pastor or preacher says" this is what I think scripture is trying to tell us ". You need to leave that church and that ministry. Because God is not in that person or that teaching. " I think " is a very wrong approach to adhering to the mind of Christ which is received through the Holy Spirit from on high. Most pastors and preachers miss what Jesus said when he described God. He said " God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth...FOR GOD SEEKETH SUCH TO WORSHIP HIM.....you cannot worship God without Him seeking you first to do it. You must be called, chosen and faithful.
So let me reiterate what I said, Christ is not as easy as those who claim to know Him make Him out to be. Because through simplicity that is in Christ, they have erred from the faith by making examples of themselves rather than giving the Truth of God in Christ His priority to choose you. He is the Teacher...not men. As Peter wrote....its better to not have known him than to have known him and turn away........King Saul that is mentioned by Robert Gonzales was one of those people.....he too chose to listen to men rather than God and he turned back from following the Most High King. That proved fatal for him. Many Christians fail miserably because they will not adhere to " every word that has proceeded out of the mouth of God ". They use scripture piece by piece, here a little and there a little.....but refusing consciously to adhere to it as a whole. Leaving out crucial aspects that actually joins them to God in Christ, and Peter, and Paul, and James and John and every word spoken through them by Christ and His Holy Spirit within them.
If you cannot be called to Christ do not attempt to be changed or you will fail.....Because no man can come unto the Father but by Christ....and He must call you.....
Austin Powers and Spider Man killin' it once again
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Holy shitttt 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
YEAH baby!
😂😂😂😂😂
I knew he reminded me of someone! Austin Powers dad from the second one!!
Sam Keenan 😂😂😂👍
The Eagles were like "Nah... We're gonna let this one slide."
"Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy"
- what a line - I think of it from time to time when I need it.
nice job guys.
Jackson Browne wrote that verse
Josh - YOU TWO shoulda performed the half-time show at the super bowl!
In retrospect yeah this would have been far better than the porno show we got treated to last week.
Josh, I've been following you for about three years. I'm 67 yrs old, and I am certain you and the cat on the acoustic are going to spin heads out there. I grew up in Gainesville, Fla. practiced guitar with Tom Petty and Don Felder circa (1962-1964). I know talent. You cats have the whole nine yards! Thumbs up!
Whats in the water down in Gainesville? So much Talent came out of that area.
just like Houston Texas to especially in the psychedelic era I don't know what was in the water down there...
Man, this guy can sing... Gousebumps right at the beginning. And believe me, I'm not a sentimental guy.
Takes me back to the old days... 45 years ago. Performing and traveling internationally.
All these years later... some friends gone forever, some recently reconnected. Old friends
are good for healing. Life was free, and simpler.
"Each day was different, and life was a thrill. Ya' knew tomorrow would be better still.
I've now watched about 20 of Josh's videos, & I take back everything I've ever said about "young people today."
Your generation is probably the one that fucked the world up and put it where it is today, young people today are cleaning up the mess your generation has made
No shit, can't help but love these young men

After seeing this, I just had to buy a Telecaster
I just discovered Josh and he is so incredible! The entire group of musicians and singers blows this old hippie away! Thanks folks!
Six years, 5.3million views. Looks like WCM making $ on the talent of these two great young musicians. You guys are incredible. Thank you for making my day.
just love the younger generation covering music from my youth --keep it up guys
Every time I think I've found my favorite Josh and Carson cover, I find another. You are both amazing.
I've been playing and singing for a loooong time -- and I've seen all manner of musicians. You two have *all* the right things going - absolutely perfect stuff.
I watch Josh's channel so much that I get nothing else done. And I don't care.
So 👏🏼 So 👏🏼 Glad 👏🏼 That 👏🏼 This 👏🏼 Is 👏🏼 Still 👏🏼 Available 👏🏼
Take it easy is one of my most favorite tracks of the eagles. I saw the title of this video and said to myself "meh,I'll give it a try, then listen to the original"....that was that...its been over 30 minutes this shit is on repeat...
Carson has that great voice timbre that suits the great singer/ songwriter era as well as country classic.
Well done fellas you are lovely to listen to.
I'd like to think that Jackson & Glenn are sitting around, drinking a beer, watching this video...and seeing a little of themselves in these 2 ♥♥
The note he sings when he says mind right at the beginning is so beautiful. I've replayed that beginning verse over and over
In recent times, I've been listening to this version more than the Eagles' versions of the song on RUclips. I think that says it all. Josh's backing vocals were sublime right throughout the second verse ("Arizona .."slowing down to take a look at me").
Two musicians nailing a song usually performed by a stage full of players.
Dudes ! First time i see a bend an the flat e string at 3:34 !! Great tune my friends !!👍
When you two sing is the Best! Rock on!
I come to your videos like a fly to shit. Though this definitely isn't shit. I'm not very good with metaphors.
George Allen LOL
Indeed
A moth to a light, cause it lights up our lives?
Much better haha
Like an ant to sugar?
Hey Josh I discovered your channel by accident, wow man it is amazing to see young people playing music from 20 and more years before they were born, and how, some of your songs, are better than the originals. I was born exactly 50 years before you, and you are nearly a copy of me. Keep them coming, Regards Gerard from Melbourne, Australia, originally from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Ridiculously good.
What a refreshing surprise to these old ears. well done 👏 young folks much love from Nova Scotia Canada 🇨🇦
These guys are incredibly blessed to have found each other in life. Nothing like jamming out with your best bud
Carson looks like a young Michael Caine and Josh is literally the new Ferris Bueller............and, two of the most talented young artists you'll find today. Big fan!!
You guys don't need shows!!! This kind of format is great!!!
Heard the first chord strummed, pressed thumbs up immediately
I've come back to listen to this cover many times and it always manages to put a smile across my face....
i love that the kids are playing this!
Okay, so he drums he sings and he plays guitar. Lead guitar is on point as well. This is beautiful
Guys, that was flawless. You did a perfect job. Well done!

Carson makes it sound like a country version of Take it easy. Its great!
Their parents raised these killer young men correctly--kudos to your folks and mentors----
THE best cover I've ever seen/heard. Period!
Guy’s, you are not afraid to take old songs and add your style. You know how many really enjoy your songs.
The pure enjoyment in this performance is amazing
Glad to see it wasn't taken down
The way your voices sound together is just astonishing
Boy, do I love this song
In a world filled with so much negativity at the moment... I can't even begin to explain how much I've been lifted reading all the positive comments and listening to you guys nail one of my favourite songs.
It's an absolute miracle that this hasn't been taken down by The Eagles. They took down my cover of Hotel California that I did with my granddad. They're assholes.
P.s. absolutely amazing cover as always
A worker at a show told me they weren't aloud to make eye contact with them... hopefully they are changing in their old age.
@@donchristianmusic9353 Don Henley is the main reason to why they take it down
The Eagles have always been up their own Arses.....
I made a cover of Tequila Sunrise and they took it down too...
Looks like it wasn't that easy, looking at the intro roll.
do lyin' eyes! love this
Such a hard song to cover and do it any justice. That being said this was fantastic!
Now you've done it--my eyes are pourin' and I can't catch my breath!!
Uh, so glad to still be able to listen to this. There's so much soul in your playing. I love how happy you two sound in this the other favorites era. You were clearly having a blast.
Just found you guys by accident. Fantastic and you are both just so amazingly talented. Well done!

Hey!! You guys are simply the best! Down to earth and good in a sincere way!
Genuinely got a shiver off the harmonies on the "standing on the corner bit"....outrageous
Damn, those harmonies sounded so full it's incredible that it's just you two. Carson's vocal performance also next level, his voice rly suits this song well
I must say I really like Carson’s singing
He said "half a decade" like it's a long time. I'm so so old.

Its all relative, if you're 20 but die when you're 23 .. well you get it. youth is overrated anyway. not understanding life, having the wisdom you have by say 30 onwards .. health is what matters:)
I can remember half a century well. (sigh) In fact, I remember when this song came out.
