    This bike is bomb proof. Easy to work on and so reliable. Basic maintenance will keep it going for many many years. If you do one thing regular only . . Always change your oil.

    woiwwwwwwwwwww, getting a fully modded bike for a good price is such an awesome feeling. The best part is getting to know the modded parts after the purchase! I love the feeling, like whhhhhaaaattt this has this toooo!!!! I can understand! An awesome purchase!! Loved your work. And I believe own spray paint has more texture than a professional paint job, as every time we look at it, the bike feels more personal.

    A DR 650 with less than 50k on the odometer it's brand new, most owners loves this bikes and take good care of their bike because they are easy to fix and there is a pletora of mods out there making this bike the best motorcycle of the planet.

    Great job on a budget bike.
    Knowing the DR it’ll still be going strong in another 50,000 K’s if you look after it. Well done!!

    Ditch the spray oil for the filter, you get messy no matter what, use the pour on stuff into a ziplock bag as it gives much better coverage. Buy a second filter, oil it up, let it dry and store it back in it's bag so you have a spare to swap in when the one in the bike gets dusty 🙂

      Great tips again. The spray oil seems neat but not easy to use -- I will try your method next time.

    • @krazed0451
      @krazed0451 4 месяца назад

      Just for clarity, you need to massage the oil into the filter while it's in the bag, there are plenty of how to videos on the tubes :-)

    'Gearing Commander' shows 15/44 to be best for chain/sprocket life because same chain link/same sprocket tooth meets less.

    I don’t live in Australia but from what I understand they are trying to get rid of dr650s for emissions reasons. You may have either bought a bike that’s gunna be useless on the streets or you bought a bike that’s going to be grandfathered in and probably make it worth a lot out there. I’m curious not hating sorrry

      There is no more new DR brought to AU since 2023 due to ABS compliance, however it won't effect those still registered for road use. I don't belive eighter of those will happend but at least my DR should hold the value for years.

    • @scottaubrey8392

      You can’t buy one from new, but you can’t just ‘get rid of DR650’s’!! - you can still buy next to new ones second hand for a premium but why would you? There’s so many on the second hand market which owners have spent money on you would be crazy to go for something standard
