They should just make teleportation canon. With immortality, mind control, timing travelling, resurrection, ice zombies, dragons etc., teleportation isn't that far fetched.
Because he only fought against the Mountain, who has Reach and Armour. With his curved Sword he wouldn't be able to close the gap to the mountain and if he could, he wouldn't be able to penetrate his Armor, as precise thrusts between the plates wouldn't be possible, as thrusting in generall is nothing that you do with a curved sword. The spear on the other hand has reach and is able to strike those delicate parts that are not armoured
I think those scenes were not arranged chronologically. But then again they were definitely after Cersei burned down the sept because Olenna knew about it. So maybe a great deal of time passed between Varys meeting Olenna and then coming back for Daenarys? but I admit, it was weird.
In the fleet at the end there were also Tyrrell and Dornish ships so it's not only him who teleported but two armies as well. I can forgive the show for that, with only two seasons left with only 7 episodes a piece they really need to start wrapping things up
weak finale.. Not a single OMG moment. It all went the way we thought it would. That last scene with the baby was a fuck you moment if I ever seen one... why even show the scene if youre not going to tell us who the daddy is??? also, that library had waaaaay tooooo many books in it, all those books filled with wisdom and knowledge and those fuckers don't even have electricity or fire arms yet??? 1 star out of 10.
