Ive been in this hobby for 37 years now, and have watched a TON of rc content on youtube... and I have to say your channel is one of the best out there. So much better than the guy who just "retired" if you know what I'm saying! Keep it up!
I've been on an RC binge for two days since I decided to get into the sport or hobby. After watching many presenters each of varying degrees effectiveness, I'm very impressed by your approach: your presentation is easy to follow because its structured i.e. unbox it, explain its pros and cons, run at in OEM spec through diverse abusive terrain, assess it, recommend changes and rate it using logical metrics. Well done.
It's easy to be on that binge, been there done that. Had the original one and before i even ran it i had bought a ton i mean a ton of upgrades. Went nuts and probably had 2500k in it. Expensive hobby but sure fun!!

Thank you for your comment. We here find the content building (the tech side) and editing (Music video side) fun and exciting to do. Hey there nice demo ... got one 2 weeks ago agree on the diff oil... I locked center with 3/4 silicone ear plug and 1/4 500k... front and rear put 500k love the results ...
Great breakdown on the product out of box. You should change the punch rate in the ESC for better acceleration. That's a free and configurable performance increase.
Great video AJ and that's your norm ....but the only thing I never heard you address is safety ....as it applies to the skill level of the RC driver....An RC of this size and weight in my opinion is not for young children or Operators with novice or entry level skills.... and your channel probably covers every nook and cranny of the model your showcasing but yet you leave out an important issue in my opinion that's very important ...... some of the vehicles are either big .....or fast .... or big and fast ... and ion the wrong hands ..... people can get hurt ..... always excellent content AJ.... thank you for sharing.......
In several videos we’ve addressed this issue head on. Sometimes we cover so much information we miss a thing or two in a video. Thank you for your comment and interest in safety. Although they look like toys, and some actually are, these are machines and as with any machine can be very dangerous. Safety first is real. Thanks again 😎👍
Thanks from Germany. Very useful recommendations. There is an absolutely useless extension cable on the BEC/Gas. If you leave this out, the servo becomes remarkable awake.
I forgot: If you get rid of the BEC extension, you can turn down the BEC-current on 6v. Losi set it higher. I guess to compensate the resistance of that long/thin cable. And if you use a short end of the extension cable, solder a capacitor on it and put it in any free slot of the tuner, you have a perfect stable BEC-circout.
I'm pretty new to rc cars but I love it. Thanks for a great video. It's the best I've seen. Where are these beautiful areas you ran at? I have a Bandit VXL now but I could move up to something like the Losi.
Nice man.. yea the flex I’m plastic parts is also good for control and stability on rough bumpy terrain.. bumps holes rocks knocking things, all that can be absorbed by the plastics before it even effects the shocks.
Just got one on order along with a set of maxamps 1090 batteries. was a tossup between it and a primal MT. Deciding factor is I can lift the DBXLE while the primal,,, not so much. Really looking forward to it. I have a MTXL gasser that I love, I just don't run that much any more because it's getting to be a bit of a rare animal.
I'd suggest getting the program box, the esc on mine beeped saying it was at the med setting for the LVC ( stock) but it was at the low setting according to the program box. I went through 4 batteries( puffed) before I got the program box. Have yet to be able to test the setting because I'm waiting on tires ( had a blowout).
I use a mix of Diff oil and silicone ear plugs to get the resistance I'm looking for. I find it to be cheaper and more adjustable without prying your wallet open each time you want to rework your diffs. It takes a bit of patience, to be sure, as it may take a few attempts to get the resistance your looking for, but it works; that much I can attest to. At the moment, I'm working of the video which explains this procedure. Also, I have shown the tire venting in several of my videos, but in short: I use a Dremel tool with a 1/8th inch bit in it. Choose three locations along the center line of the tread and perforate each location, cleaning a small hole in each. Be careful and be patient, for the tool can be a bit grabby if you contact the tread and not the skin of the tire. Then, tape off the inner holes of the wheel to seal off the wheels from allowing dirt and debris inside the tires. Remount the wheels on your car and there you have it. I hope this helps. AJ
@@AJJAMStudios very much so, I'll look for one of your other videos about venting, and will be on the look out for the diff video. Thank you for the info and good Explanation of things, keep it up you are one of the better channels here for rc info😉👌👍✌
Hey great review 👍 just wondering if you got the Bluetooth module installed in the transmitter when you bought it like included in the box with the car thanks ✌️
Thank you I'm trying to work out if it's a mistake in the about information when buying because I didn't get it and I know your a trusted source. I've had some tell me they got it so I'm thinking maybe they don't or it's a new batch that might? but that's why I'm trying to work it out as I bought it from the newest batch as I'm thinking you did as well? Thanks ✌️
Klasse Gelände. Super Spielplatz. Den hat nicht jeder. Vor einer Landung in der Luft Gas geben. Dann kommt die Front höher und man kann mit allen 4 Rädern aufsetzen.
Just bought one of thesse a tad over 1800 bucks here in Australia, first thing I did was ordered the aluminium top plate and front/rear braces an extra 200+ bucks. lol Its a great hobby but keeps me broke.
This car actually does come with batteries for the controller... at least mine did.. they are in the around 1.5 inch thick box. Also check out the RUclips star Kevin Talbot when he unboxes this car. He didn't realize this came with batteries either until later in his video.
How big is it side by side to the traxxas summit 1/10 scale? I've got a summit already. Very tempted to get this beast or the Db pro, or the lasernut U4.
The DBXL-E is huge. It 5th scale and weighs in at around 30 pounds with batteries. As far as comparing it to your truck, I can’t say at the moment, for I don’t own one of those. However, I do own a Lasernut, and it’s cool. It’s big for a 10th scale car, check my review on that, but super durable. As I like to say, go check them out if you can and see which one speaks to you. I can tell you this, however, the DB pro is 3s, while the Lasernut is 4s. Also, the pro is geared more toward track racing than bashing; if that helps. Best of luck, AJ
It could be a few different things. Check your manual for how to troubleshoot the issue. That’s the best way to get to the bottom of your issue. Thanks for asking. 😎👍
The problem with electric RC cars is that they are capable of unrealistic speeds; for example they can jump way higher than a gas or nitro car, which is very hard on the shocks. Gas is slower but better for the car. Tom Sisson
Thats true but once they compress past a certain point the chassis bottoms out. So as long asyo u dont have arrma kraton shock shaft level of skinny, they should be fine
Be careful when you replace a broken part with one that has no give in it at all. That destructive energy has to be absorbed and transferred somewhere.
True. But strong inside and pliable outside is the way we like to do things. If we can beef up the chassis components that’s what we do. We would rather have an arm fail than bend a chassis. Why do some screws look rusty straight with the car out of the box?
Most screws are not rust protected and condensation can occur during shipping; in the right circumstances.
