My son and I were out overnight last night. Too hot in the city so we got out for one night. We are hammock campers. I think what we like to do the most is just enjoy each other’s company. Catch up on news, have a beer, in front of the fire. It’s real nice!

I've been camping with the same * guys for the last 14 years in the BWCAW. For me the fishing, fellowship sitting around the camp fire in the evening, watching stars,eat great food (no bag or box stuff). Eating fish,blueberry pancakes, french toast with bacon and home made syrup, hamburgers. Listening to the Loons and the quiet of silence in the wilderness. I'm seventy seven years old and still going strong. Keep on camping.

We tried to watch and it keeps scrambling when we get to the hammock set up. 😕 This only happens occasionally on your videos. (On our TV) We watch lots of bushcraft people. I will have to watch on my iPad.

We just tried dehydrated meals for the first time & found Mountain House to be the best. We recommend the fettuccine alfredo with chicken. 😋 Thanks again for the adventure and a new dessert for us to try!!

Hey Kenny! As usual I enjoy most the fact that you're not afraid to say a prayer before your meals out loud where anyone watching your video can hear you! We need more people like you! That was a beautiful place you were at, wherever it was. I love listening to the water lapping on the shore, or over rocks, myself. I never could use a hammock. Actually I've only been camping twice. My husband and I once went with several of his army buddies and one couple with a couple preteen kids for a night to a big creek and had lots of fun! It was in early fall and it got kinda cold in the night, down to about the low 60's, but it was in the high 90's that day. The other time was just my husband and me. We spent a week by ourselves at the same camping area. It was just a small place and if you got there by yourself, or with your party, no one else was likely to stop there. You couldn't actually see the creek and camping area from the road, but the vehicles had to be parked on the side of the road and you walked down a fairly steep bank, not quite a cliff, but very steep just the same. It was in May and hot in the daytime but pretty cold at night still and very early morning. That creek water was super cold trying to wash in it of a morning and at night! Burrrrr! We slept on a thick air mattress with a couple pillows and sleeping bag and blankets. My husband did the cooking as I had never cooked on an open fire before. We had fun, but I admit I was glad to get back to civilization! My actual idea of camping out is having a trailer with a bed, a place to sit, and a bathroom in it!!! Husband says that's Not camping out! Anyway, both those times we were in our 30's. I didn't like camping out enough to want to do t again, plus we just got busy and never tried it again. And now we are in our late 60's. He could still camp out, but I can't. I really would have to have that travel trailer now. I'm handicapped now and can't bend my knees; so no squatting, no climbing, no kneeling. With the no climbing, we'd have to figure out a ramp or lift system to get me in and out of the trailer! But watching videos like yours, it makes me wish we could do something like camping! I enjoy watching these and similar videos. So Kenny, good video. Thank you for sharing. I like to camp comfortable myself lol don’t mind having the comforts of home 😊 I really wish you could get back out and enjoy Gods beautiful landscapes! Something about getting out and away from it all for a night or two that just relaxes me. I’m so glad that I can share that experience with you! Don’t think that you have to be in a tent to go exploring. Lots of beautiful cabins and things with some amenities that you could rent and still feel like you are camping.. but with more style lol God bless you and yours! Made my night seeing this notification pop up , I love omeals because some of the add your own water ones if you get it wrong they are just soup. That chicken one is yummy in a couple of tortillas to bulk it out. And like they say any water " I use sea. Water normaly as that's where I'm camping

Anyways, what best about camping is sitting by the fire and cooking a nice and delicious home cooking dinner. I'm not to fond of food in a bag (rme). I rather eat a sandwich then that food bag. A very relaxing good vibe video and always strengthened by the Lord! Hey when you cooked your breakfast you were not supposed to put it in a pan and cook it again. Just letting you know that is why it was so dry and you were parched!! I love the Mountain house Sausage biscuits and gravy meal - And their are biscuits chunks in it that are dry like a biscuit and it is a hearty meal! You have great locations and your video work is very good! I am going hammock camping this Thursday for the first time in a two years, I loved your hammock system!! My fav part about camping is being in the open air all the time. Waking up early in the morning and the first thing you see out of the tent's window is the sun coming slowly out.

I just have to put this out there and probably isn’t even there anymore this was years and years ago but my favorite part ever for the Fourth of July what is when I was in my early 20s and I was living in the state of Washington with my husband and daughters and we went to George. And back down there was honestly a in restaurant called Martha’s. Anyway they have a huge makeshift oven and they used to make cherry pie in this humongous oven and then put cut out stars as the crust on the top for the huge cherry pie and everyone got some. It was just awesome. I’m sure that’s never done any more but it was great

Fave thing about camping, there are so so many things to be honest, but one of the top ones definitely has to be sunsets and sunrises, and actually slowing down enough to enjoy them fully, embracing the end of a day and the start of a new one, and realizing just how precious and special being able to do that is!! We truly are blessed to have some amazing locations here! Especially in the Pacific Northwest. Sunsets and sunrises are definitely high on the list of favorites while camping! And fishing.catch clean and cooking it. And haveing you judge 1-10. When i started carveing i used irish spring bars of soap. It was swirl blue and white.diff colors very cool then when i got bettr went to hard clay and wood.

What I love about camping is the fact that i have a little tiny shelter no matter what it is from a tent to hammock to what ever else I decide to do...but my all time favorite is just sleeping under the stars right on mother earth with as little stuff as possible.. Fish or any other kind of meat cooked slow over the open fire is to die for...and before I go I always make some homemade jerky to bring along as a snack.. just a few things I do...

Hey Kenny, you always have to plan for rain up there, all summer long. The islands are nice because there are no bears, but I love the north end & beyond I don't fish much either, but always see folks using large flashers to get them big trout. A stop for a huckleberry cone on your way out is a must :) Thanks for the vid & happy trails!

Camped for over 60 years and really miss it so thank you for reminding me. I took my babies from infants and they love it as well. Hubby not so much, so I did it own my own including snow.
I really enjoy you videos, especially the camping videos like this one. As another PNW camper I would like to suggest you take a look at portable fire pits. The ability to place them exactly where you need them can really improve the camping experience greatly. If you could have placed one of these just outside the lip of your awning you could have had the protection of the awning AND the warmth of the fire. I picked this up from “Primal Outdoors” vids and have really enjoyed using these. The permanent fire pits in parks are great but not always in convenient positions. Just passing this along as it’s worked really well for me. Take care.

My wife and I enjoy your videos! As an avid fisherman I'd like to offer up a few tips. When trolling I would use a floating Rapala in black and gold when near the shoreline and when out a little further go with a CD5 Rapala. When fishing from shore and if going for trout try a Kastmaster in a 1/4 ounce. These will cast a good distance and are very productive. Make sure you tie on a good ball bearing swivel first to help prevent line twist. Good luck in the future! We missed the steaks and mashed taters on this one and sounds like you did too! lol

The backpack meals are definitely best for an emergency lol! If you can carry fresh food it’s always so much better! I usually get caught by the descriptions though lol so I had to give them a try. Now I know 😂

As a more "mature" couple whose tent camping days are behind us, we have such fun watching your channel. We love that joy not perfection seems to be your goal. As we are from the midwest, we always wonder where you are camping especially viewing this one. This place was beautiful. We hope that big fish is out there ready for you and that your trail cam will capture lions, tigers or bears.

Hey Kenny! As usual I enjoy most the fact that you're not afraid to say a prayer before your meals out loud where anyone watching your video can hear you! We need more people like you! That was a beautiful place you were at, wherever it was. I love listening to the water lapping on the shore, or over rocks, myself. I never could use a hammock. Actually I've only been camping twice. My husband and I once went with several of his army buddies and one couple with a couple preteen kids for a night to a big creek and had lots of fun! It was in early fall and it got kinda cold in the night, down to about the low 60's, but it was in the high 90's that day. The other time was just my husband and me. We spent a week by ourselves at the same camping area. It was just a small place and if you got there by yourself, or with your party, no one else was likely to stop there. You couldn't actually see the creek and camping area from the road, but the vehicles had to be parked on the side of the road and you walked down a fairly steep bank, not quite a cliff, but very steep just the same. It was in May and hot in the daytime but pretty cold at night still and very early morning. That creek water was super cold trying to wash in it of a morning and at night! Burrrrr! We slept on a thick air mattress with a couple pillows and sleeping bag and blankets. My husband did the cooking as I had never cooked on an open fire before. We had fun, but I admit I was glad to get back to civilization! My actual idea of camping out is having a trailer with a bed, a place to sit, and a bathroom in it!!! Husband says that's Not camping out! Anyway, both those times we were in our 30's. I didn't like camping out enough to want to do t again, plus we just got busy and never tried it again. And now we are in our late 60's. He could still camp out, but I can't. I really would have to have that travel trailer now. I'm handicapped now and can't bend my knees; so no squatting, no climbing, no kneeling. With the no climbing, we'd have to figure out a ramp or lift system to get me in and out of the trailer! But watching videos like yours, it makes me wish we could do something like camping! I enjoy watching these and similar videos. So Kenny, good video. Thank you for sharing. I like to camp comfortable myself lol don’t mind having the comforts of home 😊 I really wish you could get back out and enjoy Gods beautiful landscapes! Something about getting out and away from it all for a night or two that just relaxes me. I’m so glad that I can share that experience with you! Don’t think that you have to be in a tent to go exploring. Lots of beautiful cabins and things with some amenities that you could rent and still feel like you are camping.. but with more style lol God bless you and yours! Made my night seeing this notification pop up , I love omeals because some of the add your own water ones if you get it wrong they are just soup. That chicken one is yummy in a couple of tortillas to bulk it out.
And like they say any water " I use sea. Water normaly as that's where I'm camping

Anyways, what best about camping is sitting by the fire and cooking a nice and delicious home cooking dinner. I'm not to fond of food in a bag (rme). I rather eat a sandwich then that food bag. A very relaxing good vibe video and always strengthened by the Lord! Hey when you cooked your breakfast you were not supposed to put it in a pan and cook it again. Just letting you know that is why it was so dry and you were parched!! I love the Mountain house Sausage biscuits and gravy meal - And their are biscuits chunks in it that are dry like a biscuit and it is a hearty meal! You have great locations and your video work is very good! I am going hammock camping this Thursday for the first time in a two years, I loved your hammock system!! I just have to put this out there and probably isn’t even there anymore this was years and years ago but my favorite part ever for the Fourth of July what is when I was in my early 20s and I was living in the state of Washington with my husband and daughters and we went to George. And back down there was honestly a in restaurant called Martha’s. Anyway they have a huge makeshift oven and they used to make cherry pie in this humongous oven and then put cut out stars as the crust on the top for the huge cherry pie and everyone got some. It was just awesome. I’m sure that’s never done any more but it was great

Fave thing about camping, there are so so many things to be honest, but one of the top ones definitely has to be sunsets and sunrises, and actually slowing down enough to enjoy them fully, embracing the end of a day and the start of a new one, and realizing just how precious and special being able to do that is!!

And fishing.catch clean and cooking it. And haveing you judge 1-10. When i started carveing i used irish spring bars of soap. It was swirl blue and white.diff colors very cool then when i got bettr went to hard clay and wood.

What I love about camping is the fact that i have a little tiny shelter no matter what it is from a tent to hammock to what ever else I decide to do...but my all time favorite is just sleeping under the stars right on mother earth with as little stuff as possible.. Fish or any other kind of meat cooked slow over the open fire is to die for...and before I go I always make some homemade jerky to bring along as a snack.. just a few things I do...

I don't fish much either, but always see folks using large flashers to get them big trout. A stop for a huckleberry cone on your way out is a must :)

Camped for over 60 years and really miss it so thank you for reminding me. I took my babies from infants and they love it as well. Hubby not so much, so I did it own my own including snow.
I really enjoy you videos, especially the camping videos like this one. As another PNW camper I would like to suggest you take a look at portable fire pits. The ability to place them exactly where you need them can really improve the camping experience greatly. If you could have placed one of these just outside the lip of your awning you could have had the protection of the awning AND the warmth of the fire. I picked this up from “Primal Outdoors” vids and have really enjoyed using these. The permanent fire pits in parks are great but not always in convenient positions. Just passing this along as it’s worked really well for me. Take care.

My wife and I enjoy your videos! As an avid fisherman I'd like to offer up a few tips. When trolling I would use a floating Rapala in black and gold when near the shoreline and when out a little further go with a CD5 Rapala. When fishing from shore and if going for trout try a Kastmaster in a 1/4 ounce. These will cast a good distance and are very productive. Make sure you tie on a good ball bearing swivel first to help prevent line twist. Good luck in the future! We missed the steaks and mashed taters on this one and sounds like you did too! lol

As a more "mature" couple whose tent camping days are behind us, we have such fun watching your channel. We love that joy not perfection seems to be your goal. As we are from the midwest, we always wonder where you are camping especially viewing this one. This place was beautiful.
