@@DooDooInvaduR His 2.9 ERA last year is way better than average. Sure, his 4 ERA over his career is average, but I think he’s finally turned a corner. You don’t just get lucky for an entire season, throwing a 2.9 ERA.
Criminal how forgotten he is. Had a great season, was super consistent, and pitched really well in the postseason. Cant wait to see him back on the mound in 2025!
When he’s confident, his curveball is unhittable. I always felt good this season when I saw his name as the starter! A 1-2 punch of him and Manaea at their best meant 2 wins for the Mets this year, easy.
It’s crazy to me how so many people overlook Peterson. He’s such a good pitcher and I’m so glad he plays for the Mets!

They dont understand players developing & getting better. They expect players to be great the moment they debut until the moment they retire.

Never overlooked a lefty! They take awhile to mature or figure things out. I've never given up on Peterson since he made his MLB debut.
He was bumpy but pretty clutch. I think him, Megill, and Scott have good futures with the Mets pitching staff.
