My mistake on Aaron Nola! Thought he had another year of control, but he was a true free agent who quickly accepted Philly's offer. For what it's worth, I'd probably place him in the A tier.
Jolly this is unacceptable. I will no longer watch every single release you put out within 24 hours of release and drunkenly ramble to friends about obscure baseball facts
The Giants plan for Hicks was exactly how it went. He was a bright spot for sure. They were supposed to move him to the bullpen after reaching a certain amount of starting innings. For only 11 mil a year, we like it.
The Snell contract is C tier. For all of the reasons you said. Snell got paid, but the Giants didn’t trade a player with an opt out when they weren’t competitive. See your thoughts on Chapman. Love Saturday with Jolly.
No shot snell should be A tier. Yes his performance was good but it was just a waste. It costed the giants 34 million and a draft pick only for him to leave to the dodgers. F contract
Yuki Matsui contract belongs in C. I think you're punishing the contract too much on him, he was right at his AAV. Hader however is a giant F for the 2024 season and money.
D tier on Chapman is foul. He was not supposed to close this year, and ended up having to be our everyday closer with Bednars implosion. Also, at the tune of the deadline, the pirates were over .500 and looking to make a playoff run. Way better than D
The Josh Hader one I don’t really agree with he was still great in closing situations but in the non closing situations we wasn’t that well so he’s a A for what you’re paying for but D otherwise, so he could be a B or C honestly
I think your ranking of relievers getting multiple year deals making less than 6 mil a year and then Blake snell pitching 104 innings and half being bad bugs me. Multiple year deals for relievers that were ok is fine if the Aav is low. Easy C or b tier. Padres got top end relievers at the deadlines and the others were middle
I do think Farhan screwed up not getting something for Snell but he was probably trying to save his job and letting it ride for a wildcard berth. But I think none of the playoff teams offered anything of value for him at the deadline so it might not have mattered. I thought it was real dumb though that the Yankees didn’t trade for him to make a stronger push in the playoffs.
whoever gets sonny gray should look to pitch him every 6th day. if he stays healthy, a 148 innings with a 3.34 era and the ability to move him the following year is a great deal to me.
How many damn pitchers did the Padres bring in the past 2-3 years? For trades and multi year deals, probably can build a whole major league and minor league roster with them.
idk why the giants are taking the heat for not trading snell at the deadline and not teams who could’ve used him for not offering a good enough trade package ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There was NO reason to grade the Stephenson contract. He didn't pitch for the Angels at all cuz of that injury, so It's pretty clear that the Angels knew something was up. I mean there is a $2.5 million club option in 2027, which they are likely to pick up if he continues to pitch the way he did with the Rays. We will see how he returns to the Angels this season and the next two (more likely three years), and hopefully the result is that he is the head of an already surprisingly strong bullpen.

Wade Miley?

“Dad, tell me about the 20 games of Erick Fedde on the white sox”
(Insert Vince McMahon meme)
"Go to your room, son. We don't use profanity in this house."
“Not today Erick” *tears in eyes*
KBO legend
the disrespect to tim hill's 1.8 million dollar deal
Real😂
He was so clutch for the yankees
The 2 “big” Tigers move from last offseason, S tier and F tier. That’s the Tigers for ya
Jolly you're a content beast! Thanks for all the entertainment to make winter less boring!
The Giants plan for Hicks was exactly how it went. He was a bright spot for sure. They were supposed to move him to the bullpen after reaching a certain amount of starting innings. For only 11 mil a year, we like it.
Erick Fedde is an easy S-tier. $7.5 mil for a no.3 starter is a huge bargain.
The Snell contract is C tier. For all of the reasons you said. Snell got paid, but the Giants didn’t trade a player with an opt out when they weren’t competitive. See your thoughts on Chapman. Love Saturday with Jolly.

It did very little for them. He got going very strong but the team simply wasn’t that good and he just got to opt out. No harm, no foul.
Imanaga was absolutely the brightest spot on the Cubs this year.
This videos are part of my Saturday routines now
12:50 I think the worst part of the Kimbrel deal is that it looked decent in the beginning up to the All Star break before he fell off Mt Everest
Yuki Matsui contract belongs in C. I think you're punishing the contract too much on him, he was right at his AAV. Hader however is a giant F for the 2024 season and money.
You missed Michael Lorenzen's deal with Texas.

At this point. He should never pitch in those situations. He has a mental block there.
Yuki got 5 years/28 mill. That's 5.5 mill per year through age 32 for a reliever that should improve year over year. How is that bad?
Problem with Snell being traded was the asking price was crazy high like you said. The teams that had the capital werent trading it for a few starts.
Babe wake up, a new Jolly Olive video has been posted.
im pretty shocked u still use ERA to evaluate pitchers
Aaron Nola was a FA though

Would love if you do similar lists like this but for random years in baseball
Wasn’t weaver a resign he was traded too the Yankees in 2022

Tayler Scott for the Astros?
ReyLo was such a pleasant surprise for us Braves fans.
Missed Ryne Staneks deal with the Marineros jolly!
Would love to hear ur opinions on the outlook of Yariel Rodriguezs contract
whoever gets sonny gray should look to pitch him every 6th day. if he stays healthy, a 148 innings with a 3.34 era and the ability to move him the following year is a great deal to me.
Yamamoto deal already S tier 🏆
I really like serious analytical tier list Jolly so much more than faux cocky draft video Jolly
Luke Weaver FC, we are HEREEE 🔥
Hey jolly, Sonny gray is not getting traded. He’s declining to waive his no trade clause
How many damn pitchers did the Padres bring in the past 2-3 years? For trades and multi year deals, probably can build a whole major league and minor league roster with them.
GOAT jolly
I’m not really gay that was a lie
Lugo DID get chances to start with the Mets. It just never clicked.
What about Yariel Rodríguez? I realize the Jays had an ass year, but it happened. lol
What about Cleveland's Ben Lively?
am I crazy or wasn't Aaron Nola a free agent for a brief period?
I also think he was. Then he immediately accepted the Phillies' offer
@@cro4194 I just remember because the Braves also gave him an offer
Nola was a free agent for around 2 seconds😂
idk why the giants are taking the heat for not trading snell at the deadline and not teams who could’ve used him for not offering a good enough trade package ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Where's Ben Lively?
He skipped over Cleveland’s free agent hitters too in his last video
No James Paxton?
Oh wow I totally forgot that Fedde was traded
Not pictured the brewers because they rarely hand out free agent contracts smh
He ranked last years free agent pitchers
Matt Boyd and Ben Lively?
I want more.
Can you add timestamps to the video? It will make it more accessible and easier to navigate
18:13, your Mets way overpaid for him in 2025
(Oops for Josh Hader) ☹
🫵 Hader in D tier.
No Ben Lively?
More tier list videos

As a jaded Angel fan, Giolito belongs in F tier. He is finished. Sorry Jolly.
9 million AAV for two lefty relievers that both are very solid isn't D and F tier bad

Disliking because James Paxton was excluded from this otherwise exquisite rankings 😤
hard to put reynaldo in s tier given every advanced metric says he was just the luckiest person alive
