All countries have their own Exclusive Economic Zones Or EEZ's as mandated by United Nations Convention on Law of the Seas or UNCLOS.It means that 200 miles from the coastline is your EEZ, thats your fishing grounds. No country has an exclusive right to claim the whole South China Sea as its own. Everybody should respect that including China and all claimants.

Well Taiwan has marine territorial disputes (sort of) with Japan as well, but we somehow solved it with signing agreements with both sides stop arguing and allow both fishermen working there. But it's because.....that's Japan, and Taiwan and Japan at least have some degree of mutual trust, but China being China.... could never ever figure out a way like that.

Imagine if Philippines developed or have nuclear, probably only then will China scale down and be more cautious in that region. The fact that non of the other east asian & Asean countries are nuclear power simply means less power projection and easier to be overwhelmed. Only china and north korea has nuclear weapon in that whole region so they don't really respect the other countries as legitimate threat to them. The views so far from the Cna only presented one sided views of the other fishermen from the Philippines & Vietnam. The Cna should present more of a balanced not a biased presentation of the situation among the fishing industry in ScS. This CNA report reflects a biased presentation with a devious intent of creating some anti China feelings or a typical western CNN propaganda in anything Chinese. There isn’t any difference between CNA or CNN style of presenting their narratives.

Imagine if Philippines developed or have nuclear, probably only then will China scale down and be more cautious in that region. The fact that non of the other east asian & Asean countries are nuclear power simply means less power projection and easier to be overwhelmed. Only china and north korea has nuclear weapon in that whole region so they don't really respect the other countries as legitimate threat to them. Most of the countries relies too heavily on US to counter China in this region and with a weakening US in recent years, it's no surprise China stepping up their game and in no time we'll just need to be very very friendly to China, losing some of our sovereignty and rights.
Oddly enough giving every country a nuclear weapons will make rooms for much more talking and diplomacy
China is also projected to decline, which is why they are being so aggressive now before the window shuts. Ph will only get stronger.

Meanwhile for indonesia, US military base at the outer island will give minimal impact, but offcourse its not our best option.

FYI, nobody uses battleships anymore. PH cannot afford many ships. BETTER would be to purchase antiship missiles from UK Norway, USA or Japan & SAMs from the same. Since US missiles now range 500km, land-based antiship missiles on the main islands could easily reach invader vessels.

This Cna reports somehow or deliberately missed a part of that conflicts in the SCS over fishing rights among the different countries in the region; and that there was no feedback or any attempts to present the views of the Chinese fishing community in that area of contend. The views so far from the Cna only presented one sided views of the other fishermen from the Philippines & Vietnam. The Cna should present more of a balanced not a biased presentation of the situation among the fishing industry in ScS. This CNA report reflects a biased presentation with a devious intent of creating some anti China feelings or a typical western CNN propaganda in anything Chinese. There isn’t any difference between CNA or CNN style of presenting their narratives.
CNA only report one side of the story if you watch all their video about the Philippine Government are all one sided, you can check it out, IDK what the PH gov did to CNA to keep attacking PH like this, and btw the PCG and Philippine Navy are already patrolling the WPS against China
