Came here from StormXF3's "Memories (MLP in Real Life)" video. Just a beautiful song. I've gotten choked up and misty on many occassion, but it's been a long, long while since I've allowed myself to actually break down and cry. And that's what I just did, especially thinking about the lyrics of the song and realizing that it's silly not to. I don't have to be "strong" for someone if I'm just sitting here by myself. I guess I just let my inner child to express his emotions and we both feel a lot better for having done so.
Sorry if this sounds sappy but I just needed to share and to say thank you for that.

You aren’t the only one who felt like that. I have ADHD and autism and I’m baptism. I use to think I needed to be cold and strong to be a man, but now, it feels dumb to not be compassionate. Especially with my family still loving me regardless if I’m autistic. I always felt that I needed to be hard on myself to be better. But I’ve got so use to it, I hardly felt like letting myself be happy. And I compare myself to everyone else. I hardly remember if I had a dream where I felt happy. I want to make the world a better best, I wish to. And I sometimes wish to be like everyone but me. I still do. But I want to let the chains go and feel free.
I came from StormXF3’s video and this song reminded me of my childhood and how despite being older I still watch this crazy pony show. The joy and friends that’s it’s brought me over the year is to much to describe in one comment; at least this part of my inner-child still exists

I find these lyrics quite deep for a song and leaving a light feeling despite a sad message. I've tried myself in poetry a couple of days ago (just for fun) and got a very similar outcome. It was about an old woman dying alone in her room and turning to long forgotten beliefs out of fear (I'm not religious though), because her dreams of tricking death by someone else's scientific discoveries turned out to be yet infeasible. Meanwhile her family - daughter, grandson etc - are living so as if their lives would last forever, which they certainly don't. It's a very sad topic, the transiency, or "die Vergänglichkeit" in German. As you pointed out, one should free themselves from the maze of fears and limits and strive for life, because there won't be a second chance. Even though the video is so simple, I've managed to extract something pleasant out of it as well :D The ball and the turning ground are the keys to further analysis (looks as if someone would lead this symbolic character into the maze, which could be an allusion to society, maybe?). I'm glad I've come by :D

My childhood was killed when I turned 5, I was expected to be a adult, and innocence stolen from me, at 7 I tried to end my own life I had failed at that, at 8 I tried to get someone to kill me. The only thing I had left was a dream of success, and I only met failure all my life. Which has only brought me several times back to the old demons that I battle alone, and unable to get anyone else to be able to understand. I don't have much time in this world either way but everyone just keeps wasting my time, devaluing me as a person and what I hope for when they only live in the here and now, they are incapable of dreaming of anything, they are incapable of thinking of anyone else, they do not see the destruction they cause on the rest of the world, they take no accountability for their own actions and their aid to worsing humanity. I am no kid now and I have wasted half of my life on people who really don't care about me, and only want instant gratification. That child in me is not a child at all because of issues I had, I have only ever wanted to succeed but I have only failed. Your songs have brought peace to my chaotic hellish mind. All of my dreams at night since that horrible issues has been nightmares to most but to me sometimes I feel as if I want it so, they all end with me dying horribly.
I'm sorry . I feel you. Though not the same happened to me - as I know of, though many things point at it - I can relate to everything else. I don't know anything else than nightmares. Even since I learned to fly, I always end crashing.

I always find myself singing along the second voice usually the easiest 3/5/8 ......ok sometimes if you unexpectedly change keys I go with the easiest option and go along with first.....
I just feel slowly really bad for my neighbours when I try this at 9 pm or 6 am with Bluetooth headphones on, to simultaniously trying to move around or "cough" dance and eventually almost smashing into my cupboard messing up a turn or landing too hard on a glide on my boney knees....
I wonder if they will at some point call the police because someone is seemingly collapsing at the sound my kneecaps make on a hardwood floor - which wouldn't be a surprise atm.
I really need to get back on track to gain muscles, but that would mean weight gain..... Ugh. You can't stretch or train without nutrition.
I know I have to make a decicion. NOW. FAST.
For real. This can't be another "a lbs a year" self - experiment on how much a body can take AGAIN. THIS IS LITERALLY THE MEANING OF THIS SONG.
Do I want to redo all the damge I undid and push it to the limit just one more time ? Is it worth it ? Rationally no, but ...that's all I know. Ugh.
Edit: ouch , hit my tailbone really hard....So i think i have to eat more and tried but now I feel really , really sick. Dang. WHY can't I just eat normal. ugh. It's the easiest thing ever!

It struck me how this song mirrors "Words Fall Apart" - "and the endless expanse of the sky" matches "in the deepest expanse of the sea"; they're both in 6/8-ish (or some sort of 3-based meter), they're both about losing your dreams, one of them is in minor while the other is in major, one of them is about early childhood while the other seems to visit a similar person later in adulthood. Is this song purposefully a complement to "Words Fall Apart"?
