I own a 4xe trail hawk and a charger with a 5.7 Hemi. Hemi sounds better , but that's about it. 4xe is quicker and you can really feel the extra torque. It costs me around $85-100 per week in gas to do my daily commute with the charger. Cost me about $ 15-20 electric/fuel per week in the 4xe.
Do you use regular gas for the rt engine? I heard the regular works fine
I work from home most of the time and drive mostly locally. Purchased a 4xe overland, charged overnight each night and didn’t put gas in for over a month

Excellent Comparison. To me, today MPG might decide it. But, Stellantis has been doing the Hemi way longer than EV or Hybrid across it brand.

You'll go through several tanks of gas in the Durango long before refilling the 4xe, providing you charge it regularly.

I have a 2020 Durango citadel with the Hemi..gets 22-24 on the highway at 70mph..love it..18-19 in the city
We had a jeep wrangler 4xe and loved it also. But the small fuel tank and the electric wasn't beneficial for rule driving or highway driving only city. The Durango van go a lot farther on one tank of fuel.

I have a tow and go Durango just traded for 4xe GC no one can say till they own the mpg in the Durango isn’t justified

I went with the 4xe overland. Love the tow and go but just can’t justify the mpg. Seeing reports of people getting 10-14mpg on average. That’s just unacceptable. And living in Seattle, gas is already priced higher.
I have owned 4 hemi grand cherokees do not to buy new now without the hemi. Big company mistake not making g the model

Depends what you use the vehicle for. If you have a lot of kids or do a lot of heavy towing, the Durango is the obvious choice. If you have 1-2 kids and do a lot of normal driving, especially around town, choose the Jeep. Sound has nothing to do with it.

The start up clip of the 4xE sounds like a lawn mower. I'm not being hateful toward the Jeep, just doesn't sound that good in my opinion.
We've got a Cherokee Trailhawk with the 2.0 and I agree about the exhaust sound.

The grand Cherokee is more focused on luxury/offroad, and the Durango is more focused on performance

I have a jeep GC and its difficult to consider other cars based on safety and reliability. Durango looks like a mini van.
The looks and the 3rd row really decide which one people pick that’s for sure.
