If you unplug a MAF while the car is running, it should stall. However, it still doesn't mean that your MAF is functioning correctly. These are just quick checks but they don't tell you much. Checking the performance of the MAF with an OBD2 is the way to go.
Can A Bad MAF Sensor Signal A Bad O2 Up/Down, both banks, Sensors 1, both sides, or Sensor 2, Upstream when wire circuitry had to be repaired to those particular wire connecting from a wiring harness, that sends signal to PCM?
I have Astra G 2002. Engine cuts off and car struggles to fire up the engine. After for a while engine can start again. I changed the fuel filter and fuel filter relays but the same issue continues. Please advice?
Is it normal if the engine light shows before starting the car but goes away when starting the car? I'm having all symptoms: jerk acceleraction, missfire, long cranking before starting but no errors are showing on the OBD machine. I've removed and cleaned the MAF and no difference ... still having the same problems
Which car do you have? Yes, you should have the check engine light on when you turn on the ignition (before starting the engine), but it should turn off a second or two after starting the engine.
@@MechanicBase Its a 1.9TDI Seat Leon 105HP from 2010 - 1P1 version. The light goes off after the engine starts. Though could be the 109 relay but I just replaced it and still having this issue.
