    The never ending project. I recall when it was a rock quarry and there was no 192nd access from hwy 14. That was back when this was a great region. My family and i are leaving due to the growth in clark county and some unconstitutional laws that were put in place in Washington.

      Wow, that was like 20+ years ago! Change and growth is inevitable, but I totally get it and agree. Reach out if you need assistance selling your home, and I wish you the best of luck in your next chapter!

    It looks like work on Eleva has stalled. Perhaps Romano can't continue until they get more investment? Do you know where things stand?

    • @LivingInVancouverCamasWash
      @LivingInVancouverCamasWash  2 месяца назад +1

      Eleva has indeed been delayed. It was a strategic choice on their part based off the building climate right now for apartments, and I do think they need to raise more money as well. If you check out their site there are more details on the project!

    Still no affordable living

    • @LivingInVancouverCamasWash
      @LivingInVancouverCamasWash  Месяц назад

      Thanks for commenting and watching! I would guess that some of the apartments will have a certain % of the units designated for affordable living. The challenge with new development like is, the cost to develop and permits etc is so high, even if they rented as break even prices they would not technically be 'affordable' and that is an issue!

    Vancouver has annexed this area to be able to build it so isn't consider Vancouver now.

    • @LivingInVancouverCamasWash

      Yes, it is Camas, however I mention East Vancouver because it's right on the border, so its still a part of that community

    Excited to see denser, more walkable developments. It's still a little too car-centric, but hopefully it will open the door to more walkable/bikeable and transit-oriented developments in the future, like exist in most of Europe. Big step forward for the region!

    • @LivingInVancouverCamasWash
      @LivingInVancouverCamasWash  4 месяца назад

      Thanks for the comment! Yes, all development will be more dense going forward due to costs and due to state building regulations. Though I enjoy seeing these options in projects like this, I will say most of Clark County (my self included) enjoys seeing the suburban areas car centric, so I’m sure it will mostly stay that way :) cheers!

      @@LivingInVancouverCamasWash Coming from Europe where the quality of life is MUCH higher, I can say the higher density is a very a good thing. A mix of density and SFH will give everyone a nice choice on how they wish to live. Car-centricity is never a good thing, and more and more people in the states are starting to see that, even in suburbs. There's no reason a suburb couldn't/shouldn't be walkable, with amenities a short walk or bike ride away, and robust transit available to give people freedom, and make the area safer, cleaner, and quieter.
      Looking forward to seeing this project complete, and hope to see those retail spaces fill up with grocery stores, cafes, and restaurants, so everyone there will get to enjoy car-free living!

    This development is going to cause horrible traffic. And the view is horrible now. You can't look up the river towards the mountain anymore.
