i hear ya, I'm in the snow removal business myself here in Michigan, its nice to watch these kinds of videos instead of having to go out and do it myself. Were suppose to get about 5-6" here Thursday night-Friday Afternoon! Been a pretty slow winter for us here in Michigan.
Good job Griff. Your skill with the machine is noticeable to professionals like me who have been operating heavy equipment for over 30 years. Don't worry about the comments about using a blower. Plow first if needed and you have the space to do so, then clean up with the blower if it saves time and money.
Beautiful white snow to boot; live in northern minnesota its absolutely stunning. Hope most of that makes it to your dams and resivors in the spring melts.
That’s amazing! I live in West Texas and have never seen more than ~12” snow at once. Enjoyed watching something unique while we are 50-70° most days this week.
My favorite snow pusher of all times. I grew up watching Cat brand loaders. I saw the quietest Volvo loader in my life experiences. 😮😮😮😮 It had a fork lift detachment. It created no exhaust & smell! 😮😮😮😮 But. I ❤️ the Cat products. I loved my Tonka loader as a child. It looked like the Cat product too. I'm not liking the smaller sized loaders. They slip too easily. Great video. Good luck w/ your Cat loader/ plow. 😊😉👍❤️💜🙏
Great work. Used to plow for Squaw Valley, from parking lot to 89. Some nights with a 930 loader and sometimes a Single screw Clark grader back in the late 80's.
I run loaders, excavators, backhoes and pretty much all other heavy equipment in the Union. Never done snow plowing though. Looks pretty cool, but also pretty tedious with all of the driveways. Obviously you know your area, as to not hit anything buried in the snow! I go to Tahoe often to snowboard. Definitely interested in snowplowing in the winters since dirt work is very slow here on the Central Coast/South Bay. Cool videos, keep em coming!
@@tomlorenzen4062 A lot of people get tired of their jobs, especially after doing it for a long time. I just can't figure out what kind of special recognition that you are looking for. People would certainly sit up and notice if nobody plowed snow but just like truck drivers and trash collectors nobody is going to thank you until you're not around to do the job.
Ok I’m from upstate New York . We get snow. We got 44” in 24 hours. That was enough, had to snow blow it. My Grizzly with a plow was worthless. You guys still getting crappppp loads .Be safe, have fun. Thanks for the upload. Pease out👍
That was probably a good idea to work on ramping the snow dump areas with more snow coming this weekend. Amazing to see the snow higher than the 1st story of the houses. Glad I don't have that much in Pollock Pines. 🤪 I clicked that subscribe button for you today. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks for Subscribing! It's always good for us to keep the ramps open as much as possible. If our blower for this machine goes down, the ramps are the only place we can put the snow. Cheers!
Excellent promotional video for those who sell condos, or time sharing in Florida. LOL I thought we were getting a lot of snow here in Quebec, but I see that we are not the snowfall champions.
I have seen the Metal Pless blades all over town and they look awesome. I am thinking they are a little better suited for big parking lots rather than tight spaces, but I could be wrong. Would definitely like to try one out though!
Do the tires have any spikes on that loader if not it does really good on the ramps when you pull the snow back and then push again kinda surprising !! 🤔👍👍👍👍
Definitely have your route down like an art form. Must be insane with the winds and consecutive weather systems over the past few weeks. Must get monotonous at times but also like a challenging game.
Thanks! Definitely can be difficult during the big storms, but it sure is nice to have a good winter this year. Always learning and trying to be more efficient.
@@griffgranger always love watching other people plow, love to see every person different plan of attack and learn a few things myself, i plow but with a 3/4 ton but still very good job, keep it up.
We framed a house in Ward Valley, backside of Alpine Meadows in 91. We sheeted the roof with 1-1/8 t&g glued over 6x10 rafters. The roof was engineered for 480lbs per square ft. It’s still there.
i'm just curious : you are plowing driveways as well as the road - does a homeowners association pay you to do that?.......it's a lot of work! btw, i like the cat - being able to turn your bucket is a big asset!
its impressive you can pack the snow enough to support the weight of the loader, wondering when it all melts is there any liability for water damage if someone complains they have a pile too close to their home type stuff?
The ramps are for snow storage. In this video, I am mostly just trying to open up the ramps. Once the ramps are good and packed, then I can funnel some snow through them. Thanks for watching!
Yall can have the snow,i hate it. I gotta drive in that stuff when i take my loads from El Paso to Oregon. Cant stand winter, even though it is pretty to look at.
I do not feel sorry for any man who owns a house in Lake Tahoe, big money! However, you sir are a lifesaver and thats really an awesome thing you do. I’m from Pennsylvania and i know snow .. but that kind of snow is ridiculous! .. great job. 👍
Tahoe gets a lot of wet snow which packs very well. Also the tires are pretty wide. This video pretty much shows the process of how to get these ramps to support the machine

That's some serious snow the right machine with an excellent attachment.
Relaxing watching a professional move huge amounts of snow - lucky to live in an area like that

Beautiful the lake needs all of this snow, thanks for sharing 😊
What a beautiful view! Even if you see it a bit too often. Your very professional and thank you. Just what the doctor ordered.
Thank you!
You're skills are amazing. These people should be grateful for what you do. Subscribed.
WOWEE! THAT'S A LOT OF SNOW! Great video! Very cool! LOVE IT!
Thank you very much!
Nice Video. I live in South Lake Tahoe near Bijou. Funny seeing how we are running out of space to put the snow all over town. Keep up the good work.
Great video! I absolutley love my CAT 938M. It has definitely paid for itself. Hope you have a good rest of your winter!
I like the up time of running a blade over a bucket. Maybe next year we'll try to implement that in operations.
The wing blade is very efficient compared to the bucket. Definitely a game changer. thanks for watching!
DAMN the snow had it working for it! good vid ! extreme snow and no place to put it!
Your patience is commendable. Here and in the snow.
Thank you!

Awesome!!
Nice set up
This guy is REALLY GOOD 👍
Give this guy a snowblower and he’d be thrilled!
We do have one! I will post up a video of that soon
Lets hear the stories from the snowcat drivers. amazing!
Holy shit that’s some snow! I’m used to 2’ over the winter! 😂

Imagine if you will.. Me plowing that much snow with my ATV in 2015. The ramps where just perfect. haha GREAT JOB!
Awesome!!
I can watch this all. day. long.
Nicely done !!!
Thank you!
I've done it for years in one of them and a 966 with a v blade side wing.. winging off 4ft up on a 45 is still fun. nice operating
The only way to roll love those chains
I pushed snow when living at Tahoe for the twin peaks development. It paid the bills in winter, but it was a thankless job.
You wanted milk and cookies in addition to pay?
@@percyfaith11 plowing snow sucks. He's right, a very thankless job.

Well darn it y’all got a 4 way plow !!😂 I got a 20 foot snow box and a 4.5 yard bucket Lol 😂

The best way to pile snow is with a dozer just keep pushing a ramp up holds a lot of snow
Nice! I'm a little surprised that they don't have a snow thrower for that rig of yours. Great video.
We do have a blower! Check back in a few days for a video on that
It’s almost that time again

Dude, nice!
Thanks!
man I had some good times up around there and Donner lake . I should bring my two 938s and make some cash
a finish a finished shot driving back up the road would be really cool
Fabulous 😍😍😍
Thank you!
Winter womderland, it's a prize living there. Now to win the lottery to afford housing, plowing and insurance is probably insanely expensive.
It is definitely a treat living here. Thanks for watching!
Too much snow for me
Pretty work
Thank you!
Live in the Sierra Foothills and am dying to break in my new powder skis. No way to even get up there, unfortunately!
Отвал чут по шире надо была. 👍✊
also for a plow you should look up the (metalpless) blades with sidewings,,,they are the top in quality and use

Yeah they have wear bars on them that act as spikes. They are pretty much the best chains money can buy for a machine like this. Thanks for watching!
Very little places to put that much snow

Thanks for posting video. Wow lots of snow. Did you ever consider a snowblower. We use them in New Brunswick , Canada after the banks get really high.
We do have a blower for this machine, check back in a few days for a video on that! Thanks for watching!
its impressive you can pack the snow enough to support the weight of the loader, wondering when it all melts is there any liability for water damage if someone complains they have a pile too close to their home type stuff?
They are all pre engineered easements. You can look them up on county records. All of tahoe has them 😊
"White gold!!"
Almost as cool as that guy in Austria or wherever he’s from.
Great job! You know its serious when you are plowing up too the power lines!!
Is that snow pack going to cause flooding come spring?
Awesome video! Thanks for posting. What is the purpose of the ramps you made?
The ramps are for snow storage. In this video, I am mostly just trying to open up the ramps. Once the ramps are good and packed, then I can funnel some snow through them. Thanks for watching!
Great video!

Здравствуйте, отличная работа бульдозериста.
Deep…..cold……heaven
I think investing in a big 3 stage snowblower for that wheel loader would pay for itself and make your life and a lot of other’s a lot more enjoyable.
Just how much Snow is enough already
SWEET!
These vids are great! Keep them coming. Assume HOA or some annual plan for some driveways? Incline?
That's the plan! HOA in North Tahoe, close to Incline. Thanks for watching!
Kind of sad seeing all those cabins getting little to no use. I'd be up there enjoying it every weekend if I had one of those.
Was the plow all the way to the ground when back dragging just wondering?
Yall can have the snow,i hate it. I gotta drive in that stuff when i take my loads from El Paso to Oregon. Cant stand winter, even though it is pretty to look at.
Thanks for watching!! The snow is not for everyone thats for sure
What is good for plowing or blowing 3-5 feet of snow?? I would be to scared of getting stuck😂
Upon seeing driveways being plowed, rather than plowed shut, I quickly realized this was a HOA and not a municipal service
Just in a small amount of snow :) As you stack snow piles tall as a house lol. nice operating
Thank you!!
My dream job.
It's a lot of fun thats for sure!
I would think that it would make more sense to use a snow blower to clean out the driveways.
How much snow does Tahoe get each year? Seems hard to stay in that environment
How fast can you drive with the chains on?
Lot of snow on Roof's
I sure like to do that stuff
Do u put beet juice in the tires?
Yes we do! The rear tires on the G are filled
This is proof that people will watch ANYTHING !
How do you get those snow ramps to support the machine?
Compaction and freezing temps will make snow like concrete
You are correct. Tahoe also gets a lot of wet snow, so the snow gets compacted easily. Thanks for watching!
🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍

More on the way!
Is that private paid for? I've never seen city do driveways before??
Does the old man plow anymore or does he make you do it all now?? ;)
He is still running the show! He plows equally as much as me and runs the blower more than I do. Im trying to be as good as he is!
Do you see this amount of snow every year or more
We don't see this kind of snow every year, but usually every 2 or 3 winters we will see a big one.
How does something that heavy not sink in the snow pile when a truck will get stuck in 5 inches of snow?
Tahoe gets a lot of wet snow which packs very well. Also the tires are pretty wide. This video pretty much shows the process of how to get these ramps to support the machine
Running out of room to put the stuff with all the storms
No doubt! More and more work with every new storm
Are these houses occupied
Like cutting butter
MORE!
Wats the point of pulling snow down from the pile n pushing it back up..
I pull the snow back to fill in the holes that the tires have made from either sinking or just spinning the tires
