    Quick crochet blanket. Crochet baby blanket. Crochet fan brickwork. YOU CAN DO THIS, have faith in yourself. This is a SUPER FAST crochet blanket. It grows 3.5 inches each pattern. This stunning work can be used to create many types of blanket. You can do it all one color or change them around to how you like it. I think it will look amazing in retro black n' white yarns.
    The stitch count is 8 +1 extra at the end of the chain. Begin this pattern with 2 rows of UK double crochet (USA Single crochet) count your stitches after the 1st row to make sure you still have sets of 8 stitches.
    Use the hook size your yarn label states or you can experiment with different size hooks.

    If you are a beginner to crochet PLEASE try this crochet along. Have faith in yourself. You can do this type of blanket. I hope you like my new graphics within the video.
    The stitch count for this is 8 +1 extra at the end.
    After your 1st row of UK double crochet (USA single crochet) please check your stitch counts are still sets of 8's. The fan row doesn't start until row 3 so it will be a pity to have to rip it out if your stitch count is wrong.

      I am trying this pattern but I am having problem with the ends. However keep trying. Doing the same pattern for a scaf took out the half fan on the ends and it looks great but I want to do a scarf with half fans at the end. Watching video again.

      If I do 2 rows of white...then 1 row of fans....my working white yarn is on the far end? Am I doing something wrong? I am adapting for left handed as I go. Do I have to carry the white yarn along the fan row? Help!!!

    • @janswartz8641
      @janswartz8641 3 года назад

      Impunitythebagpuss...it was confusing to me at first, but you just have to cut and rejoin the white at the opposite end. When you do 2 rows of white on top of the fan row, you will be back at the correct side to connect the color. Hope that makes sense!

    Wow, this is one of the most actually easy beginner patterns I've seen, and I've only just learned the treble stitch recently. Thanks for posting and for giving both US and UK terminology. I found your video while searching for two-color patterns for a blanket I'm making for some newlyweds (because everybody needs a "Hey, throw that over here, would you?" in the living room) that I'm making in a color the bride picked out, and I was hoping for something I could make in one piece instead of stitched together (a process I'm going to utilize in the future when I get more practice with granny squares).

      thank you so much Xxx I'm making a "gimmie that blanket over thanks" in log cabin style with all my odd balls yarn (in UK treble crochet) most are made with granny clusters. It's looking a bit ugly but it's thick n warm hahaha

    Hello Alison, O.M.G., this pattern is so beautiful.
    Is it also known as a shell stitch? It reminds me of another stitch my mom taught me, the wheel
    barrel stitch. My late mom & I would sit up hours together, after she got home from her nursing duties. We would booth be making 4 or 5 inch squares,
    When we had quite a few ready, we would join them together & create patchwork
    quilts. We gave them to our church action, & they all sold.
