Here’s an extra video for the week. Expect a normal video Friday!
Ahhh i see
why ngargono kharbakh are not in Azerbaijan (in present)
There's having a successful union, then there's not having a successful union, and then there's having a union that even the Aral Sea decides to quit...
Bruh
Speaking of the Aral Sea, if you look at it you will notice it shrinking
@@The_whales thats the joke
It's sad because if the post Soviet world remained in a democratic union the world would be a much better place
oof
I like how he doesn't bother to map out the changing frontlines of conflicts, yet he perfectly shows the year-by-year destruction of the Aral Sea
"I want USSR!"
My mom: "We have USSR at home."
USSR at home:
capitalist ussr lol
Union of Soviet Capitalist "Republics"
Unión of Soviet Sovereign Republics
funny enough, i like how the aral sea gets drained alongside the video
Gotta include the shrinking Aral sea!
At the world junior hockey championship in 1991, which started Dec 26, the day of the collapse, they continued playing as the USSR until Jan 1, on which the were renamed the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with all but three players not being from CIS countries,
I love how the have to put 'independent' in the title, just to make sure we know how totally independent they all are
Nice video as always, my friend! You're doing so well indeed!
Funny how the CSTO was created for defense, and then Russia invaded a CSTO member.
There might have been regional conflicts between NATO countries, but a full on war has not happened.
and then Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan started fighting... and then Azerbaijan and Armenia got into a war... like what even is this organisation supposed to be😭😭😭😭
CSTO following in the footsteps of the Warsaw pact only invading it's own members
what about cyprus/turkey?
Cyprus ain't in NATO
@@hotman_pt_ since when is Cyprus in NATO?
Nagorno Karabakh isnt supposed to exist in the final slide
Real
Oh hey kamepin, you gonna add me on steam?
Its dissolution wasn't recognised by the international community. And the Artsakh government rescinded its dissolution order, so they're effectively a government in exile right now.
@@tylerbozinovski427 They were never recongnised as independent by the international community, so dissolutions is technically is just a return to what is actually recognised by it. That and it was for de-facto only on this map just like why Ukraine is divided.
@@iskanderaga-ali3353 not recognising you
you could have removed the Karabakh independent nation in Aserbaijan in "Present" because it was dissolved and when Donbass was shown as "independent states" you could have showed the actually controlled regions and not the whole regions but still nice eye for details like correct flags based on the timeline
Tbh he didn't accurately show frontlines at all in every war shown in this video (Artsakh, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Chechnya, Ukraine, etc)
@@socialistrepublicofvietnam1500 The Republic of Artsakh was dissolved on January 1, 2024.
@@arro6451 I'm talking about their point about the Donbass frontlines not properly being shown
I prefer the Confederacy of Independent Systems, thank you very much.
I see you are a man of culture.
I was thinking that when I saw the acronym for it as well, love me some droids
Me when foolish republic scum pulls up to the corporate alliance sanctioned function:
I prefer the Galactic Republic

If you look closely you can see that the Baltic states wanted way less than none of that
Neither did the Aral Sea
no shit
and now armenia is leaving too
As they should, i feel especially bad for Armenia and Georgia. They have no friends in the region and little chance of actually getting to join the west due to their location.

I love how the baltic countries never even bothered to join. They were just happy that they finally managed to escape.
Lol,these states were one of the most developed union republics and had a strong funding
Особенно прекрасно было видеть как "демократы" смещали лояльных к России политиков в Прибалтике
I Heard about it yesterday and you also uploaded it yesterday wtf
Doomed to fail like the CIS in StarWars imao
You mean there is a secret dark lord ruling both CIS and NATO to create an empire on their ashes?
@@Admin-gm3lc It's sad the amount of people who actually believe that. I've seen a number of comments & interviews where people think Obama is still controling the US gov. somehow.
Half assed Nato
Half assed EU
Half assed great power
Would hate to be Russia ngl
Can you do the Battles of Khalkhin Gol?
There's a small mistake that the Republic of Artsakh is now fully integrated Azerbaijani territory and is thus part of CSTO
i gotta give props with the Aral Sea
thinking about how I could realistically outlive an entire sea which has existed for millions of years
The Aral Sea is already gone, it is now considered 2-3 separate lakes
That Aral sea.
90s kids remember Team CIS from Nickelodeon Guts
Please do the Franco-Dutch war every day
Moral of the story: Don't screw with the Aral Sea
Everyone: looking at csto members
Me: poor Aral sea
Armenia: Russia Azerbaijan is invading me, help!
Russia: No
Armenia: 👁👄👁
RIP Aral Sea
Just one thing the Artsakh Republic is officially dissolved as of 1st January according to the treaty
So it is no more useful to show it it in the map
Is this supposed to be like star wars
lol this is literally CSI-Confederacy of Independant Systems, from Star Wars.
Armenia and Azerbaijan are both members? Awkward.
Tbf, Greece and Turkey are part of NATO, meanwhile Turkey is trying to join the same EU that includes Cyprus and Greece
@@socialistrepublicofvietnam1500 turkey never fighted a war with greece and didnt fight with cyprus de jure, armenian-azerbaijan thing begun just after their indipendence
@@think9747 russia didn't invade ukraine de jure either, de jure it is still a "special military operation"
turkey and greece haven't fought a war since the 1920s but they have an active border dispute and their governments despise eachother
also the armenia-azerbaijan thing started before independence, the soviets made attempts to quell the ethnic violence before the soviets collapsed and it escalated into a full-scale war
@@socialistrepublicofvietnam1500 İt is not that hardcore, time to time escalating but just in speeches and in 1930-1940s it was very good with ataturk and ınonu the modern thing begun in 1990s
How did the Republic manage to win?
What a joke of an organization
I never heae anything about this, only specific countires such as Russia.
Donbas was not completely controlled by the separatists, and even at this moment not all of the territory of Donbas is under the control of the Russian Federation
Cheap version of a Weaker NATO
better version of eu
It is not a military alliance that will be CSTO
CIS can into space???

that map of the republics breaking away is de jure i assume?
no, its a de facto map. Most of nations dont recognize these republics, and others, like Nagorno-Karabakh, never really achieved recognition. De facto - whats happening in reality. De jure - what is recognized on paper.
