This is a really fantastic concept!! Apprenticeships are popular in the trades, but its amazing that hadn't been replicated in many other fields like marketing (apart from internships...wouldn't say they're quite the same as apprenticeships ). But the fact that this platform exists is a big deal - really solves the age old dilemma as you mentioned of "can't get a job b/c no experience...can't get experience b/c no job". 😄
Especially useful for someone pivoting their career after having received a degree in a completely unrelated field.

This is the best video ever! Thank you so much! I am going through a 180 career transitioning into digital marketing. There are tons of videos on RUclips advice on taking courses to build your skills but not enough videos on finding an apprenticeship with no experience.

@ i am in need of getting the job in less than 3 weeks. Did i need to do apprenticeship for getting the job?? I am an affiliate marketer (know anything about email marketing, video marketing like creating video content, editing and reposting, cross posting across all social media sites like stuff)... I have few years of experience but i want to get digital marketing job within a month due to personal reasons.. Isn't there a way exception to internship for that???

The timing couldn't be better for me! I have started a masters program in Germany and I will move to Munich on January. I am worried about whether I will be able to get a working student job as a new collage graduate, considering that I am already disadvantaged because I don't speak German. Create your website and start testing there or find clients who are looking for the cheapest service ever and start helping them. Everyone starts from scratch ) The more experience = the higher revenue.
This is great and I agree its one of the best ways to learn fast but for a lot of people, creating their website and selling services is not the best solution. That requires some entrepreneurial spirit, as well as an investment if they want to learn a variety of martech tools which are paid services.
They might also not be good at managing a website on the technical end or selling their services, but may be great candidates to be mentored and learn from someone who is an expert in their area of interest.
So it really depends on the personality and the goals of each individual. Getting mentorship is really precious in any case and I wish I had it too even though I am an entrepreneur and self starter.

Hello Elif, what a great content you have! I am a Linguistics student who is interested in DM. Hence, I began taking free online courses. As a linguist, I am interested in creating written content so I stuck choosing a career between SEO and Social Media. I know that I like SEO more so I want to ask: can linguists work in SEO in the field of DM? 😊
Thanks Bahar! I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be able to. Getting better in SEO requires A LOT of practice and studying the updates, but why not? :)
Firstly, I would like to thank you for all of those pieces of information, and secondly, I would like to ask you if I can follow those courses from my home country (Greece) and if there are the same probabilities to find a job by not living in US or Canada?
Thank you too. You can do an apprenticeship from Greece as apprenticeships on Acadium are remote. Finding a job in US or Canada is another topic though because most companies (although nowadays most of them are remote) require work visa as legally they need to. However in some cases you might find a job with a US or CA company as a contractor and in those cases you won't need a work visa. You will be self employed from Greece and will get paid on a contract basis (you might invoice the company you work for). Hope that makes sense!

So, I've been learning a lot about all the social media platforms and marketing strategy. Currently focusing more on LinkedIn. Is it okay for me to help people with strategy creation considering the fact that I'm not on the other platforms? Or it would make me look noob?
Hi Sameera - I don't see a problem with that. When yoy say you're focusing on Linkedin - does that mean you're using Linkedin for your profile and content? OR does that mean you're focusing your services for Linkedin? If it's the second one, it actually doesn't make you look noob but in fact more focused and expert. Let me know if I got your question right!

That brings up the question whether I would be able to position myself as credible strategist without using those platform for professional aspect?

As a consumer of content, I would like to point out that your videos are loaded with knowledge so a person keeps coming back and consumes your content which is a huge plus.
A piece of advice over here- I would love it if the sound quality improved because I have noticed that sound plays a major role in attracting youtube videos.
About the website suggested in your video I'm definitely going to try. Even though I'm working right now but still knowledge always adds up. Would try to find you as a mentor there. :P

They wouldn’t reject because you don’t have experience - that’s basically the opposite of what the platform is about. Maybe there is another part of your application that’s not fully completed. Have you checked all sections?

I recently went through a long 3 week interview process for a Graduate digital marketing executive role, I completed many tasks and challenging interviews and managed to make it to the final 3 out of 50+ applicants, to find out they gave the job to someone who was not a graduate (like me) he just simply had more years experience, absolutely ridiculous 😒
