@@PRESD4TIME yes, it's an open source vulkan port of the quake engine. Performance is, in theory, better than other versions, but it's probably not noticeable on any decent gaming PC. For me it's lightweight, portable, and responsive, which is why it's my preferred way to Quake 1.
@@PRESD4TIME I think this is aimed more at single player. I took a quick look at the multiplayer and couldn't even find a server that worked, let alone one that had people playing.
Did you download this or buy it off Steam?
Base game is steam copy. vkQuake is downloaded separately but needs the base game files.
