I’m so impressed at the speed and agility of the great apes. The energy that these creatures have is amazing. The Gibbons are so graceful. Can u imagine what it would feel like to glide around branch to branch? Just awesome!!!
I find myself feeling envious (and old) watching them swing around so effortlessly. The orangutans humble me enough, the gibbons absolutely rub my nose in it! Haha
From this video, in many occasions, the Gibbons swung by the larger Orangs, the Orangs tried to grab them. I wonder if the Orangs will hurt the smaller Gibbons. I hope they won't because Orangs are supposed to be gentle Apes.
As a homo sapiens, I feel I can identify more with the Orangutan. I look at him, and I wanna say, "Yeah bro, I know." But with the Gibbon, I'm like, "goddamn, you're fast swinging through the trees. We definitely ain't closely related." Also, there's something about the Orangutan's facial expressions that just look so familiar, you know?

It's not that bad. I'm sure they're perfectly content. There's all kinds of stuff to climb around on and I'm sure they're well fed. They like to climb and eat. The enclosure has a relatively naturalistic aesthetic and I'm sure it makes no difference to them.
Just shut up if you're going to try and farm easy likes by calling it prison. Everyone knows it's not optimal but for some of these animals, Gibbons especially, this is the only way they can be prevented from going extinct due to deforestation.
That is abuse those poor orangutans have to be on guard 24/7 no peace from those mean ass gibbons. I have always heard experts on these animals say those 2 don't mix in a cage.

Gibbons are so fun, but they pull each other off the ropes at 20 feet for fun. Orangutans are a bit more danger-conscious. More mature.

Yes, they can move around ok (what amazing acrobats!) but the area is sadly lacking when compared with their natural green forests....
