The SiChuan Golden Snub-nosed Monkey lives in SiChuan, China, where it is also known as the same habitat of the Giant Panda. According to the CITES, now there are only about 3000 wild SiChuan Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys in the world. To protect them, it has been certified as the first class national protected animal in China. We can’t and shouldn’t trade or hunt this cute creature. I loved watching these monkeys eat, all the videos I've seen were of the macaque monkeys they seem to be very greedy but picky. Probably spoiled from too many people feeding them. 🤷🏽♀️
These adorable cuties are from very cold regions in China. The way their noses are situated on their faces so close to their skulls is so they don’t get frostbite. I love these little guys and have done a lot of research about them. They are such fascinating creatures! ❤️

They are vegetarian, so they are not as aggressive as carnivores, and since they are rare animals and often interact with people from the Chinese animal protection base, they are very friendly with humans

I could watch them upclose for hours. How they peel food and eat it is so human like and how patient he is when the little ones jump on him/her. Fascinating
These things look even more human to me than chimps. Notice how decisively and stably he stands erect. I find myself seriously thinking this might actually be a child in a costume for a Star Wars movie. It's also cute as heck... and he needs to learn to chew with his mouth closed.

I was thinking the same thing! He had a really gentle inflection in his words and would almost giggle as he talked - sometimes you can just tell, even without understanding the language, that people are lovely human beings.
This is actually really awesome! And as a lot of people have pointed out, the monkey looks SO CARTOONISH. I genuinely thought it wasn’t real at first. I actually had to rub my eyes once just to realize that its the real deal! The monkey looks like it came out of a fantasy book. So, is this what people want from CGI? For the fantastical creature/monster to look so fictional but so real at the same time? If so, then I can see why people (I guess including me) have such high standards from CGI in movies and such.

I work in produce. Many companies spray the peel of citrus with fungicides and/or antibacterial chemicals. Do not eat the peels.

I was thinking the same thing! He had a really gentle inflection in his words and would almost giggle as he talked - sometimes you can just tell, even without understanding the language, that people are lovely human beings.

This is actually really awesome! And as a lot of people have pointed out, the monkey looks SO CARTOONISH. I genuinely thought it wasn’t real at first. I actually had to rub my eyes once just to realize that its the real deal! The monkey looks like it came out of a fantasy book. So, is this what people want from CGI? For the fantastical creature/monster to look so fictional but so real at the same time? If so, then I can see why people (I guess including me) have such high standards from CGI in movies and such.
