When I watched the show in elementary school I always wished I had a janitor at my school like Gordy who would help me carry out hijinks. Like helping me dig tunnels throughout the school or helping me carry out heists. Just someone who would make life at school more of an adventure.

I live in the small town Daran is referring to. Even after 4 years it's still surreal seeing him around in restaurants and stores. That someone I watched on TV as a kid is now a part of our community. Keep up the good work with CAST!
Daran Norris is a legend. He has shaped my entire childhood with his voice and acting. Hearing his story really hit home for me. I'm an actor who started in theatre and improv. Hearing about the struggles to the positives of where he is now really inspired me. "If it is your calling and you pursue it to the best of your ability, how can you fail" Exactly what I needed to hear to show that I am headed in the right direction. I have an acting mentor and working on my craft more so I can get out there again. It's my dream to work with you all one day. To see how much love and joy there is among everyone who was involved in Ned's just shows how special it was and still is. ❤

I'm pretty disappointed the weasel wasn't able to make it but I'm happy Gordy was able to fill in.
The ending got me all emotional and teary eyed because you can just feel the LOVE and appreciation they have for each other. I can't wait for an episode with Daran in studio. ❤

If they ever do get the Ned’s revival, they definitely need at least one episode that goes into Gordy’s backstory.
oh my god, that could be how they find out he'd been rich the whole time! I've seen other people suggest that a down on his luck Ned could room with Cookie, but what if they eventually move into Gordy's recently inherited mansion instead 😂😂
@@ccorvid that could actually be really cool. They move in with Gordy who managed to get his inheritance since he stuck with the job. He tells Ned, Cookie, and Mose that he attributes it to them because they made his job fun so after reconnecting he invites them to come live with him. Hijinks ensues. Oh and the children of the weasel have infested Gordey’s mansion.

I'm rewatching Ned's for the third time and really enjoying your podcast guys! Gordy's best moment for me is S03E01 when Cookie asks Gordy "Do you think Lisa is hot?" and Gordy replies "I cant answer that due to the fact that I'm 40" haha

You can just tell how much you guys and Daran love each other. I counted at least 5 goodbyes and nobody wanted to actually stop. I love that energy and that y'all were able to bring him on. Hopefully you guys have a chance to connect more off screen, and are able to have him on the show again at least once or twice per season.

There's just something so special about the type of character Gordy was that makes people love him so much. It's just like Hal from Malcolm in the Middle. You can literally envision Gordy and Hal being great friends.
I can imagine Gordy and the janitor from Scrubs being best friends as well.

Daran was such a big voice in my childhood. I never knew anything about this man. But you can tell he is reflected by the characters he plays. A goofy, fun-loving person. Fortunately not with the same brain cells
When I was younger I didn't know that the guy who played Gordy voiced Cosmo, Timmy's dad, Jorgen Von Strangle and Anti-Cosmo because I watched Ned's Declassified and The Fairly OddParents in German and all those characters had different voice actors in the German version except for Cosmo and Anti-Cosmo. Daran Norris is a legend.

When I was a kid I thought Daran was the head honcho show runner for both Ned’s and Fairly Odd parents. That’s the kind of power he had at nick in my eyes. What a guy.
Daran's laugh and overall positivity is infectious. You can really feel the love they all have for him here. He DEFINITELY needs to be on the podcast again in the future (and with Scott of course, so they can fight).

I'm so glad that Daran Norris said "Just because you have a voice doesn't make you a voice actor" I have a really high pitched voice (my friends say I'm similar to Tara Strong) and I've worked a couple projects with my friends doing voice over, that haven't stuck but watching them back I could see my growth between the first episode to the last episode we recorded. I was a nervous wreck when we first started because I had stage fright but then later on you can hear the confidence. I'm hoping to go into voice over again soon, but I want to work on my craft first. I think that's what makes a really good voice actor, one that reflects and then gets better by working on it.

I really loved the way he reacted at 49:25 when Lindsay said she was sober. He didn't react like, 'wow I knew you when you were just a kid!' Like...I don't know, I feel like with child stars people only ever see them as children instead of as people. Refreshing to hear that from him. I'm sure it was the same way when they were kids.

I’ll be sober for 2 years on August 30th. Just like Daran, it was toughest thing I have done but the best thing I have done. If I never got sober, I wouldn’t have the amazing people in my life I have today❤️

I was about 10 when it came out and I clearly remember watching the first episode live and talking about it with all my friends the next day lol it’s so beautiful seeing you guys all together and healthy. I myself went through many years of opiate addiction until I got clean so seeing Lindsey do so well is super inspiring. Thanks again guys 💙

Dang it never fails, every episode I find myself laughing, crying, reminiscing, just going through so many different emotions, and it always ends with a huge smile on my face.
I had no idea Daran had done so many video game voices as well as his acting work! can't believe I've played star wars the old republic since launch and only just found out Gault is voiced by Gordy lmao
He also voices Goto in KOTOR2 as well as a few other NPCs if we’re talking Star Wars.
