Why do people think it’s so weird to tour death instead of life? Isn’t that what history is?
You're right❤
People have made Auschwitz a tourist attraction. I'm sure those criticizing Scott's tours have visited memorials and disaster sites
Omg..a younger Scott..adorable 😊❤
Fantastic. Like a time capsule, going back decades.
Adorable then and now Scott. :) You definitely were a part of pop culture at that moment & time. And ya love the hearst. Thanks for showing all the cool clips & articles Scott. It must be fun to have that history & your current videos are lots of fun too.
Reminds me sort of a younger Anton Lavey.. Or a younger Bob Kullick. Either way a very powerful and attractive guy! Even now!
The Girls Next Level Podcast with Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison started talking about your episode this week. They'll get to your part this coming Monday. Kind of hoping you'll be on the Podcast. If not, missed opportunity for them!
I love the hearse. What a sweet ride.
Until it got hot. NO AC
@@DearlyDepartedTours do you remember the engine? Was it an old carbureted big block v8 which would have been original? Or was it an updated engine from something else?
Oof as a Floridian I felt that to my core. Glad you have ac now. @@DearlyDepartedTours
@@DearlyDepartedTours I guess some of the passengers didn’t care much about that…
The weird thing was that there were two different Broncos. OJ and one and Al had one. When they took OJs apart, they found the dome light pulled out and under the passenger seat. He probably took it out so he wouldn't be seen when he opened the door in the alley.
My husband & his friend were actually in LA in June of 1994 & they saw the Bronco Chase live & in person.
When the chase was going on, they were driving on one of the overpasses OJ ended up going under.
When they were driving on the overpass, they saw all these people stopped on the overpass & they had no idea what was going on. Their curiosity got the better of them & they decided to pull over & stop as well to see what was going on.
When they got to where a lot of people were standing & watching, one of the people there told them what was going on. Once my husband heard that, he raced back to the car he & his friend had rented & grabbed his camera & video camera. When he got back to the spot his friend was standing at, he & his friend started taking photos & video.
30 years later & my husband still has the photos & the video of the chase.
Also - my husband & his friend had literally *JUST* been driving on that same part of the highway OJ & Al Cowling drove on that day.
My name is Cindy and I was born at St John's in Detroit. I lived ob 8 mile and Van Dyke between Van Dyke and Woodward. I moved to Delaware in 1980 when the Lynch Road Chrysler plant was closed. I was going to Lincoln Jr High before moving here. So that tells you I was from the same neighborhood as Marshall Mathers😂 my mom graduated from Cass Tech with Diana Ross. I have the large graduation picture. I will be joining your patron and will send you a picture of it. My mom passed one year ago this past weekend. She told me she knew Diana but they weren't friends. She was ALWAYS a diva, and never came to school without looking perfect. Also she majored in home economics. I LOVE what you do. You handle it with respect. I have a morbid curiosity of death and had always looked into famous deaths which is how I came across your channel. Then found it quite amusing we had the same home town. I also have a baby brother ar forest lawn. (I think that's where he is) Yours is the only one I've even considered being a patron of. Keep up the good work. Thank you for all you do!!!!!
What a wonderful comment to read. Thank you so much.
I have a couple comments on the episode you did about people you knew who were murdered. My mom grew up on Outer Drive. She lived on Belfour. Then my aunt moved by Cadieux. I KMOW I've gone past your house because I remember the stucco house across the street. As a kid it reminded me of a castle. I always thought it was a business. Lol. SMALL WORLD!!!
@10:13 Aww, OJ's sending you a sign from the depths of hell
Yeah that was crreeepyy
Scott and Troy are the cream of the crop. Scott has so much knowledge that he really needs to write a book. Reminds me of Robert Osborne! Note to Scott: Start getting all this stuff down on paper, dude! You and Jordon the Lion could do a book collaboration! I am not kidding!!!!
Always a pleasure watching your videos Scott ❤
I appreciate that!
Scott, I'm in central Florida and if you ever start back up, I'd love to come to California and take a ride with you. I have seen the videos with Adam the Whoo, Jacob the Carpetbagger, and Jordan the Lion and enjoyed every bit of it. BTW I don't do flying but I'd challenge my feat just for you. 😆
Keep doing your thing. I appreciate all the videos.
Now that OJ is gone, will Al Cowlings reveal what was said during the "chase"? 🤔
Wasn't Oj on the phone with a detective for most of the chase? That call is online. Also the detective talks about how when he first told Oj that Nicole was dead he never asked how she died or never asked if the kids were ok
First of all this 'chase' was a joke to say the least. A crawl escort which in my opinion they could of put out the strips to puncture the tires. That homicide had so many flaws when investigating it's pathetic. Pretty sad that Nicole and Ron lost their lives and got not justice. May they be resting in Peace 🙏😔
@@vicvega3614I've heard the call. Oj comes about as close as one can to a confession without technically confessing.
@@lorrieannhazelwood8516 Stop Sticks were not widely used in 94 only a couple agencies had them since they were invented in 92 by a Indiana State Trooper so they were still testing them!
@@williamzoom think hes saying they couldve stopped it if they wanted to, the dude murdered 2 people and got away with it because they didnt want another riot its disgusting and i hope hes burning in hell with Johnnie Cochran, imagine hearing "if the glove dont fit, you must acquit" for all eternity
So young... So adorable!
Wish i had taken your tour.
I know i’m so pissed
@@ckotcher1 😀
Same here. I get pretty angry about it sometimes 😂
Same here, I wish the tour hats were available to purchase at least.
Really nice ‘68 hearse, I remember seeing the Bronco at the National Museum of Crime & Punishment in Washington DC, it had since been moved to the Alcatraz Crime Museum, along with other famous killer vehicles and artifacts, in that collection, now its surreal they’re trying to sell.
If I was rich, id buy an infamous car. Not to glorify the infamy but to preserve history period because that's exactly what this is. Definitely not an OJ fan but his Bronco and AJ's absolutely are part of the story of Ron and Nicole and how Injustice won 😢 it was a sad day in los angeles history
Not only would my husband & I have taken the *"OJ Tour"* in *THE* Bronco in a second, we would've flown all the from Boston to LA w/the sole purpose of taking that tour w/you.
Look at that young man. Oh those were the days. ❤
Hello Scott. I remembered that Grave Line Tours was featured on TV here in Australia, on a midday variety show (that is no longer). I don't know who the reporter was (maybe John Michael Howson, the Hollywood reporter for the midday show at the time), and what I remembered was that the group that were in the hearse was asked if this was their first ride in an actual hearse and when they replied 'yes', they were answered 'it won't be your last...'. I think that this may have been Grave Line Tours, the show was broadcasted around the eighties or nineties, I don't actually remember, but what I do remember is that I said to my Mum that I want to go on that tour! I love your videos Scott, sending you and Todd Blessings from Australia xxxx
I saw the OJ bronco outside of a hotel in Vegas over 10 years ago it was on display
I took your tour and we went with some fun guys who later revealed they were playing at the Viper room (as we drove by to see where River Phoenix died). Crazy.
New Orleans had tours in cemetery’s since 1970.
Great video… “I’m not big on true crime”. That made me laugh! Thanks for sharing!
I loved the tour! It wasn't just where people died but also locations where films were made or celebrities hung out. Didn't Jimmy Stewart walking his dog stop the hearse once and visited with the occupants?
Good memory, yes!
You should've seen if the glove fit!
I love how people think it is so awful or whatever but they didn't realize that people interested in this kind of stuff is more popular than you know. People need to get a grip. You never were disrespectful you were just giving out information.
I'm sad they will be taking it from the Alcatraz. The museum is amazing I was born and raised around that area and got to go before I moved out to Denver. I have a ton of pictures from inside.
AC’s Bronco (the famous one from the chase) was eery to see in person- but was def a cool part of the Alcatraz East Museum. They show footage of the chase as part of the display and it’s for sure part of history.
Your channel ROCKS!! Thanks Scott!
10:51 I rode the Grave Line Tour. First Divine's death stop, (first person to ever do the tour) then Janis Joplin's death site. You were soooo hungover. 🤣 It was iconic. The family from Iowa were mortified with your Mt. Sani hospital story. 😂
Tell us the story, Scott!
I first saw you on an Adam the Woo video. I thought the museum and tour was really interesting. I am a fan of the macabre! Love your videos ❤
Really cool, thanks for sharing Scott.
Cool video and interesting story and background info. I went to the Alcatraz East Museum in Pigeon Forge TN a couple of summers ago. I was able to see the Bronco and alot of other cool stuff. Interesting museum, I highly recommend it, and Dollywood is in that neighborhood, Dollywood is fantastic.
I remember riding in that car. One time in particular listing to a tape of Judy garland while she was doing wizard of oz crying. One of best tours I ever took. I took to tour with the van too and getting a booklet to go a long with the tour. Good times. Thank you for the memories Scott!
Thank you, Scott, for all you do. I personally appreciate all the work you do.
Much love 💗 to you and Troy!
PS.. you’re amazing!!
Scott coming in to save my stinky no good Wednesday!!! 🙌🏻
Also living only a couple of hours away, Pigeon Forge is a common destination for us. I would FLIP if I ever got to see you in person!!
Wonderful video.
Bronco worth about $4K. I never understood why they needed more than two police cars following the Bronco..
That was fun, Scott!
Hi Scott thanks you for showing this 😊
Look at you SCOTT MICHAELS WOW!!! I LOVE IT , YOUR THE BEST EVER , LOVE ALL UR VIDEOS ❤❤❤❤
I wish i could’ve gone on one of your tours! I am a death hag for sure! I’ve been following you for a decade or so😘
You're so bloody cool, Scott 😂❤😂
Baby Scott Michaels in the beginning 😆 love this video as always!
I remember watching Leprechaun 2 and thinking about Dearly Departed Tours!!
Scott you ever think about doing some more tours like that every once in awhile? I dont think there is anyone that could do it better with your wealth of knowledge about the subject. Im in Bakersfield and would definitely come down to do one of them.
I think a Palms Spring tour would be awesome! Lots of Hollywood and mob history there
Awesome!! To be featured in Simpsons, Conan and other shows at the time. Love the idea and the hearse.
I'd do ANYTHING to have taken a tour in that hearse! ⚰️🖤
Thanks for the video
Hello, Scott. Wrote you about a video on the Colonel. Forgot to mention fascinating episode “The Gum Wars.” ♥️
Hello Scott!
Always fascinating stuff.
Looking forward to this
I took a tour like that in Austin Texas. And i believe the guy was mamed Scott as well. We were lucky enough to take the tour with a guy he met on line that did the Ghost tour around stonehedge. They were super cool. A memory i will have forever. Btw Him and that guy started talking cause they both was in the ghost tour buiness and had the same name Scott. Lol
Thanks Scott!!! Awesome, interesting and always a great time spent with you!!😊
Thanks Scott
I think there were two white Broncos, both Al Cowlings and O.J owned a white 93 Bronco. I wonder which one was actually the one on the slow speed chase, and where is the other one ? 🤔 Good stull Scott.👍👍
Wow, Scott, I didn't know you were famous!!! Awesome 😊😊❤❤
Great vlog. As always. Thanks Scott. Hi Troy.
How sad is that you live in LA and made it to Alcatraz east before i did and i live in Knoxville (roughly like an hour away)…..
There's still time.
So cool!!🎉
The Simpsons episode with John Waters had a scene where John drove Marge, Lisa, Maggie and Bart around Springfield on a tour. At one point he said "And THERE'S the hardware store where Lupe Velez bought the toilet she drowned in!" The Simpsons all smiled and went "Oooh!" and Marge took a picture. Not sure if that was just a poke at "Hollywood Babylon" or a poke at Grave Line tours. Maybe a little of both.
I
John Waters’ “tour” in the book “Crackpot” predated Grave Line.
All right, Art Mann!! I'm a fan of his since his days on E! I sure would have like to have taken this tour you did.
I don't see anything wrong with showing the shady part of Hollywood. I recall finding out about DD through find a death and some videos of your tours. My son and I really enjoyed doing your tour when we were in LA. You looked really bad ass as a younger man.
I saw AJ's Bronco at the Luxor in Vegas
I love watching your videos!!! Thank you for your excellent research & presentation!
You must be so proud!
This awesome ❤ episode Scott.thank you for sharing .
Hi Scott, I’ve just watched America’s Untold Stories. It is on twice a week-live Friday nights with Mark Groubert. It’s always fun and interesting with routine deep dives. Mark Groubert, of Los Angeles, harkens from the National Lampoon and involvement in film. Like you, he’s a virtual repository of American pop culture/history/people. Tonight they announced an upcoming show about KFC’s Col. Sanders.
Best to you and Troy. the other Marlene
Scott Michaels for your next Dearly Departed Tours RUclips video could you do a video on the Ennis Cosby Murder Case!!
I'd like to know what OJ said too, during that chase😮
This is great! 😎
Love watching these videos. Great work
I so enjoy your videos!! Thanks. Always interesting!
Look at you!!! Still a good looking man.. .why is it men age so well, and us poor ladies, need a lot of help hahaha. This was great. Thanks for sharing
you are flattering but I think us men and you ladies are in the same boat.
I love the video and the stories as well
Awesome video
I wonder if the Bronco will end up in the Peterson Car Museum? They did have Sadam Hussein’s car there , complete with a couple of bullet holes. I don’t know if it’s still there however .
Unless they buy it, no way. These people want $$
I'd still love to tour in a hearse(while still living lol). Hope you're ale to do the tours again someday. I know lots of people "burned out" during covid, or lost money, so it may not be doable anymore, but I'd still like to have taken a tour with you all
LOL! That glove!!! Yeah, I'm not into true crime stuff either.
It's laughable that traveling would get criticize for what the rest of the media was doing
Great video! Both OJ & Al had white Broncos. What happened to OJ’s that had blood splatter? The PS episode implied there was just one Bronco.
I remember that episode of Pawn Stars😮😮😂😂
I did the Grave Line tour in the hearse. You used to pick up at the Chinese Theater?
Yes!
Troma Studios is where director James Gunn got his start.
Scott when did you move to LA & when did you start your tours ? Ok ,I listened a bit longer 1988 for your tours.😂
I moved to LA in 93 and left in late 96 ish. Moved back in 2002 and started Dearly Departed in 2004
Scott, have you done a video on Jackie Coogan?
Do you remember who you bought the silver hearse from? I am asking about the 1968 model.
That's a lotta judgement getting tossed around Leeza! 🧐😂
Ha Believe it or not, Leeza was a huge supporter of my company when I started on my own. She’s a top notch human
Then I graciously apologize to Leeza, you deserve all of the support for your awesome content😊
does scott still do dearly departed tours or private tours?
Is that the same Bronco OJ drove to do the murders? I really wish I would have taken your tour. Have you thought of doing tours again? Maybe once a month ❤
Yep.
@@joeblow2069 , No! This was Al Cowlings' Bronco. O.J.'s Bronco was in police custody for examination at the time of the chase.
I think everyone should own a hearse once in there life Scott🙃
I alway wanted to do the Graveline Tour. Unfortunately I never got the chance.
I really wish I had gotten a chance to go on a grave line tour w/you. Everybody dies and there is no crime in being fascinated in the places where famous people died. Does anyone know if the building where Janis Joplin died is still standing?
Awwww dear Tom Snyder 😢
I'm guessing that wasn't Lloyd Kaufman?
thats all i do is drive around and look at infamous places here in miami
U moved or lived in London? Wow how was that?
That would have been so cool but to be honest I don’t think I could have gotten in the hearse. Those things creep me out. But death scenes fascinate me. Go figure.
I was on the original Graveline Tour in 1991. You hated me. I had a mouth. You called me a Hollywood Head.
I am. You're welcome. It was an awesome tour.
That's so cool. Glad you got to go on the tour.
I thought Scott said he moved to L.A. in '93.
Mentioned by Tom Snyder? Awesome! Now there's someone I would want to get drunk with!
