Okay guys (and gals), I hate to admit it but we've made some huge blogging mistakes over the years. And since I'd hate for you to get caught in any of these blogging traps, Nathan and I decided to share this video with you to warn you. My hope is that with a little foreknowledge, you can avoid making the same mistakes we did!

My biggest mistake so far has been writing content without a roadmap - both for the topic in general and for my individual posts. While I think I’ve still come up with good articles it takes me FOREVER to get anything published…which ends up tanking my motivation to write at all. Now, I’m slowly but surely starting to create outlines before jumping into a topic. (Thanks to P24 for the nudge there!)
the biggest mistake i've made is to blog at all. and i don't think that i half assed my job, i got the course followed its instructions to the t, gave it 9 months of my undivided attention with no results at all, just me thinking that it was part of the journey and i will get some results. but nothing happened, 200 posts created, ( 83 pillar, 67 normal, 50 response) . i'm not blaming this channel, i'm blaming myself to be so naive.
Really? No results at all? Idk that seems a little far fetched. Maybe it’s the niche you’re in, it could either be too saturated like “how to make a blog” or a niche nobody is really looking for. Are you open to share your blog? I’m actually really interested to see how that’s possible
@@ariela_ I chose a niche that was growing, it was home decor, i did my market research, i created a pinterest account grown to about 6k followers with 600k views a month, hoping it will make things better. so overall in 9 months i got around 9 clicks in my site
Blogging is becoming a really unstable activity!
I write from Brazil, and I was surprised when I saw that in the last few months some sites I follow have lost a huge amount of traffic!
One of them fell from 12 million from to 3.4 million monthly hits!
How to create a sustainable business with this huge loss of traffic?
Ouch! That had to hurt! That's great you guys going through though as often find the mistakes help you learn more than when it goes right.
Geez. I feel tired listening to everything you guys need to do to catch up and get to where you wanna be. I think you had far too much on your plate. I hope you now have clarity on what you need to do to turn things around. Good luck in 2024. I’m sure you’ll get back on top.

Awesome video!! I get confused with how deep authority needs to go. I have a travel blog and have 15 articles on Maine (where I live), 15 on travel planning in general, and 15 on other destinations. But after watching a few of your videos I'm thinking I need to beef up my Maine content before I dive more into other places. Perhaps get up to 45 or so? Am I way off?

Do you also reccomend topical authority (only 1 main cluster) for a webagency? I find it difficult to have only one main cluster since we teach online in different areas within online marketing here in Denmark.
I would probably just make sure you create enough content to cover each your topics. Every piece of content should help drive traffic so even if it takes a while to get it all built out, every step should improve your marketing.

I think you misunderstood my previous comment. Now, a site that talks about technology and, for example, artificial intelligence, software, and technology news, will develop faster, or a site that is only about artificial intelligence?
This reminds me of my last Karate fight. I wasn't familiar with the new definition of the rules, so most of my strikes didn't count. I got two warnings for excessive contact, and finally lost with a 3:2 score by a punch to the face from my opponent.
My blogging has been similar this past year. But, I still made more $$$ than last year.
Thanks Team Income School ❤ 2023 was the year of full ups and downs. Fortunatly i keep going on and changed my SEO strategies. Jan 2024 was highest where I made $700 from my blog.
In learning sense, 100% credit goes to this channel. Once P24 launch there special pricing for Indians, i am going to buy it immediately.
Are you going to release those prompts? I'm guessing you will for project 24 but would you consider releasing them as a separate digital download purchase?
That’s a fine idea! We’re working on some awesome prompts and custom GPTs that I think will be really helpful. Some will probably be free, but there are probably some things we’ll keep for Project 24, but we could make those available for individual purchase. Hopefully coming soon!

I didn’t misunderstand. I answered the question you asked. I gave you pros and cons of both options.
In answer to your new question, it will be faster to develop a site about fewer topics. In your case, just AI.
