It was actually a triple kill if you count that tiny insect climbing on the Venus fly trap, so TRIPLE KILLLLLL!!!!

Tiny bugs can escape easily so I doubt it got caught

I know this was a year ago but that little red crawling spec is in fact a mite. Now there are various types of harmful mites that can infest a venus flytrap. I hope your plant did't get to experience a spider mite outbreak since they do feed on venus flytrap sap or should i say - plant blood.

Thanks for the heads up. I keep them outside, but they seem fine so far. Hope I don’t get mites! I haven’t had to deal with that yet 😕 Right now they are going dormant so I’ll report them and change the substrate in the spring to be safe!
