I loved this. But you know what was an added touch for me? When you were pouring the cornbread into the pan before baking 7:24, you could hear the chicken chili simmering to the side out of frame. For some reason, that gave a very special ambiance, one that brought back fond childhood memories of being in the home kitchen as food was being prepared. Thank you for that. 😃
I love how you said, “I just want to get dinner on the table” 🥰 Such a common thought for us housewife/mommies 🥰🥰🥰 Looks absolutely yummy and took no time at all. Perfect for this cold weather and hubby will enjoy after a long day at work and the kiddies would enjoy from a long day at school. A++ on this one, Dear!
Mom always put the skillet with the grease in the oven to heat up as the oven pre heated. She poured the cornbread mixture into the hot skillet to get a really good crust.
I recently started watching your videos, and I have to tell you, you are my favorite yt go to when I want to try something new. I love your down to earth take on recipes and your presence while filming. Keep them coming, so I can continue my binge watching!
Mmm-mmm-mmm! That looks sooooo good, i’m salivating! I really enjoy your videos. I am able to fake my ability to cook after your recipes. Thank you so very much.
Looks amazingly good. Thank you for the directions and recipe I love that you share your yummy recipes! BTW your nails look so beautiful, such nice colors! Hope you have a wonderful day!
I made this for my dinner tonight. I made enough for three portions but ended up eating double because it was so good. Definitely going to be a favourite from now on.
Yum!! I would love it if you could do a series where you challenge yourself to build a meal on what you have in the fridge/freezer/pantry. You always have such great ideas! Thank you!
We are still getting cold weather. Have all the ingredients to make this this week. Would love a video of what you keep in your pantry and freezer to make meals for your family.
What an Awesome supper !!!! I always let my cast iron pan pre -heat in the oven about 10 min after the oven comes up to temp....then i add my oil or butter with a brush & it makes its so crispy on the bottom & sides.... Not sure if you have tried it that way...
Hello Beautiful! How are you doing tonight? I hope your family is doing well. Oooohhh this lucks soooo yuuummyy!!! Did you ever do freezer meals? Like you put EVERYTHING in a zip bag and freeze? Or do you do any recipes for the pressure cooker? I would love to see some of those if you have any. Thank you for ALL that you do for us.
Made this last night for my family. It was a hit. I expected my husband to add more hot sauce to his bowl. “This soup is perfect in seasoning. Doesn’t need a thing”. I didn’t have fresh corn. As Angelica says in so many videos - use what you have. Canned corn worked great. I saw a comment where someone used canned chicken. I have some that I’m going to use up in another batch of this delicious soup.
Hi A!!! I liked your recipe today. Thus Chicken 🐔 Chili looks tasty. Never had it before. Only made Jiffy cornbread also... Thanks for the yummy 😋 recipes. Great video!!!
Are you cooking up a 2nd cookbook? Need to add a section for breads or expand the tortilla section to include rolls and breads. Those videos and recipes are excellent!
What kind of burner were you using there? I have a glass cooktop but I wish I had gas. Looks like you were using a portable type one. The chili looks delicious by the way!
Always use buttermilk. Needs more oil in the mix. It will be dry with that small amount of oil. At lease 1/4 cup in the mix and some in skillet to make bottom crispy!
Add a little lemon juice to whole milk and that is a good substitute for buttermilk, but its really not necessary. Its according to taste. Most ppl cannot tell the taste difference unless they grew up in the South watching grandma make biscuits and cornbread.
First you cut the cornbread in squares and then you cut it a little lopsided. Oh no! LOL JK! You just gave me an idea what to make with a carton of chicken broth, leftover chicken, a can of hominy and some green salsa I have. I just wish I had some cornmeal or even a box of cornbread mix.
Like another person said I'm skipping that part and using canned chicken breast. It will be ready in a jiffy! I'm going to omit the bay leaf since that's normally used for cooking the chicken.

One of my go to Prep meals in the event of an SHTF. Using canned chicken instead of fresh chicken breast.
Mom always put the skillet with the grease in the oven to heat up as the oven pre heated. She poured the cornbread mixture into the hot skillet to get a really good crust.
We love you! Stay happy no matter what!!!
Yum! I think I would add green chilies and sharp cheddar cheese to the corn bread.
I recently started watching your videos, and I have to tell you, you are my favorite yt go to when I want to try something new. I love your down to earth take on recipes and your presence while filming. Keep them coming, so I can continue my binge watching!

This looks amazing
I may be wrong, but it seems as if you have been cooking since you were very young. You know your way around a kitchen. 😊
Yummy! You cook like the rest of us…. What is in my pantry is what we are having.
Hey Angelica 🍲 🍞
What kind of burner were you using there? I have a glass cooktop but I wish I had gas. Looks like you were using a portable type one. The chili looks delicious by the way!

Very nice recipe 👍 good 👍
I never have used bay leaves. What kind of flavor do they add?
You had me at cornbread.
So is best to cook cornbread in cast iron skillet ??
Can u show how u make French ions soup one day ! Please
Yum 😋
👀 tasty! 🙏👍💕
I like to add a little masa harina slurry to thicken up my chili.
Just wondering.. am I supposed to rinse chicken before doing any kind of cooking with it?
I typically soak mine in water then drain. I know some people like to scrub and thoroughly wash. It's really up to you and your preference. 😊
❤️❤️❤️
delicious
I use a pizza slicer to shred chicken. Lol 😆
Wow this is real fauqed up
Yummy
Can we get a pantry tour?
How long was the cooking time
Can you feature some lower calorie recipes compared to your og recipes? 😭 I wish I can eat like you but I can’t without gaining 20lbs
Preheat your skillet and that cornbread will have a crispy bottom and be so much better

Hey you. Yes you, random person that I will never meet. I truly hope that you will find happiness in life. Today is going to be a great day! ❤]
OMG that looks good, yes thank you for sharing your recipe with us yummy 😋 blessings to you and your family 🙏 from Diana Vasquez 👍😘
I like without sour cream
Are you letting it simmer with the lid off?
Does anyone heat the skillet in the oven with the fat before adding the batter?
Yes for a crispier crust! It’s so yummy!
I Do😄
Is there any concern with cooking everything together in with raw chicken? I guess when the chili comes to a boil it kills any bacteria?
Like another person said I'm skipping that part and using canned chicken breast. It will be ready in a jiffy! I'm going to omit the bay leaf since that's normally used for cooking the chicken.
Corn bread HAS to have some sugar in it. IMHO. It's so good that way. Again, IMHO.
Why the tape on the bean can?
Do you cook Korean food too? I think you said your husband is Korean right? does he eat Korean food?
