me the entire video: "Show the SG" "Show the SG" "SHOW THE DAMN SG" "Oh wow he's a college student, I didn't know that" "Where is the SG for god's sake"
I have been watching your channel for a couple of years. Watching this channel grow, along with your personality and expertise, is truly phenomenal. I wish you the best as you finish up school, Parker! Keep up the great work.
I am also a high school student with no idea what I want to do with my life. I absolutely love cars and enjoy your channel. I've been mostly homeschooled all my life, so it was cool to hear you were too for a while. I discovered your channel last summer after falling in love with the E39 M5, when I was looking for RUclips videos on it. I learned how to rev match and heel-toe from your videos, which I have been practicing for about a month now in my daily driver. Anyway, keep up the great videos; I look forward to them!
Nice SG man! I'm a guitar player myself and went to school for it. But as you said, sometimes the supply and demand don't mesh, as it is in music. Not the best career choice. Very cool video idea, a great way to establish your brand!
You are a mechanical engineering major and manage this channel at the same time? Damn, that's a big time commitment. I remember my time in college having the same major and doing athletics, a job, and running a club on top of it. It all seems to have worked out though, this channel is doing great.
I'm glad you're still doing this channel despite all the ignorant haters in the comments section. It's tough to put yourself out there online, but you've managed to take all the criticism in stride and you've continued to put out great content. I've been watching the videos on this channel since the early days when you only had the M5, so it's been a wonderful journey to see it grow. Also, nice guitar playing!
I'm a recent high school grad/future engineering student and I discovered this channel back in October when I was learning to drive stick. I'm really glad I did. Keep up the good work!
Awesome video Parker. The vehicle virgins community is definitely awesome and like a family, and you do an awesome job communicating and staying in touch with fans. Anyone who's met Parker knows he's a legit and down to earth dude. Definitely a big inspiration for a lot of people, including myself. Also you have some of the best car vidoes on RUclips. Parker, we definitely gotta meet up at Monterey during car week again. Last time we met I think you were under 100k subs, and now you're over twice that and it hasn't even been a year. Stay awesome and keep up the great work!
It's a little late but I'm a junior in high school and hearing about ur interests in cars and hands on things as well as math and science are very relatable. I've been thinking about mechanical engineering as a major and this actually really lets me know that it's what I want to do. Thanks so much and keep up the quality videos
Hey Parker...Way to go! Totally awesome honest and open revelation of who you are. Shows a advanced level of maturity and confidence not readily found - not just in college students, but in general. Just began watching your channel this evening. Not sure why I haven't noticed it before...I watch A LOT of automobile and motorcycle review videos. Anyway, keep up the great work, together with your business partner. The sky's the limit.
Just joined the channel and I am loving it. I am now in the same boat as you when you left school and I sort of like the same things as you. So you have really given me a clear image of what I want to be become one day and what I truly love.
Hey Parker, I've enjoyed your videos from day one, and honestly you remind me of myself (without the video making). Keep up the good work, this is one of the best channels on youtube because what it comes from and the style of videos. I love the way you make it so personal with your cars, with videos detailing everything from urban night driving in a straight piped gallardo to setting christmas trees on fire with GT-Rs
I love the idea that you want this channel to be a family rather than a motor trend type of channel. Really inspiring Parker! Keep it up! Also nice guitar solo lol.
Been watching your videos since late 2013 / early 2014, some may be silly but they're generally always entertaining and interesting. Well done on your hard work and efforts, you deserve success :) keep up the good work.
Are you into luxury mechanical watches or guns? My brothers and I love working on vintage cars and guns and guitars and are currently learning about mechanical watches. A lot of similarities between them all.
+Julian Ayala I can give you a wiser piece of advice. Ask yourself some basic fundamental questions. What are you good at, what is your lifestyle goals such as what cars do you want, try and figure out what your skills can be applied to. Too many young people get the idea that they want to be something just on a hunch. There is nothing worse than being at college in your final year and discovering that you hate engineering and that it was not what you thought it was going to be. Are you good at mathematics, wood work, drawing, English literature, computer programming. What topics do you find interesting such as history, science, movies, video games or running outdoors.
Being a current undergrad mechanical engineering student with similar aspirations to be involved in the automotive industry, this gave me great inspiration and motivation, thanks vehiclevirgins!
I really want to say that it's brilliant how you organize your time between your channel and your studies. And I'm proud to say I'm one of your supporters till your huge success!! Greetings from Saudi Arabia :)
+xXLegendXx70 He doesn't own the S-Class though... he's leasing it which is like $1000 a month, well within what you can earn from RUclips ad revenue. He mentioned that this channel pretty much covers his S-Class lease payment. I assume his family pays for his schooling, so he probably doesn't have too many expenses and can direct whatever money he has into cars.
Cars really are a lot cheaper here in the US, along with a lot of electronics. I guess it's because the US is enough of a major force in the market that we can demand lower prices. For example, iPhones here in the US aren't nearly as expensive as iPhones in Europe, even after you account for currency differences.
Yeah I know that the electronics aren't that expensive compared to EU. Maybe things are cheaper in the US but here in Denmark we can go to the hospital for free and get operations for free. Or I mean we pay it trough taxes but it's must cheaper and a nice service compared to the US.
Hey man, with all honesty, you're my favorite car channel on RUclips. Your videos are exciting to watch yet professional, and you literally remind me of myself. Keep up the vids man and I hope this leads you to an insane career!
+Vehicle Virgins I would try using some sort of a lapel mic. Which is the one you can clip on to your shirt. Unless thats what is currently being used.
+Vehicle Virgins I'd suggest a Rode NT1-A, or if you'd rather have a mic directly in your camera use a Beyerdynamic MCE85 BA, and if you need more, hire me to assist on video and audio, wouldn't mind, ha! Hope this helps, these are medium-low budget, but really good for your voice frequencies!
Hey man, hope you read this. I stumbled across your channel about a year or so ago. I spend a lot of my free time just watching all kinds of vehicle car reviews. I only subscribe to the channels that I tend to like and want to see more videos from and yours became one of those channels. Your videos were good back in the day but now they are great! You have improved so much and keep getting better! I like the partnership you have going with Eddie and the sometimes differing opinions/viewpoints on things. Anyway, just keep up the good work! Your story is honestly inspiring and I hope it helps other kids. Can't wait to see what the channel turns into once you're full time.
When you started off with "family" and "community" I was dreading that you were taking this into a Fine bros. licensing thing. lol. But good for you man, a 3.7 GPA through your senior year in engineering at a big/great school like UM is phenomenal. I'm a Compsci major at PSU and it's really great to see another college student in the engineering field doing cool stuff like this. I'm not sure how long I've been a subscriber but as long as you continue to make em, I'll watch em.
1st - I litterally never comment but watched a whole bunch of your work. Opening up your character behind the scenes is awesome, I think it's great that you highlight the struggles of your come up; it gives other up comers something to relate to, a reason to keep going! I'm definetly going to subscribe and comment. Stay doing your thing, I wish you more success and fulfillment in your every endeavour! Much love from Montreal, Quebec (north of the border)
hey man its awesome seeing musican and car guy exist in one person! im a musician as well and was going to school thru toyotas mechanics program but switched over to music after a couple years of doing body electrical, A/C, and other general stuff. i also go to every local car show that comes to town (i live in Orange County borderline to LA) so theres lots of great music and car culture here. i like your SG too! i have 1 of those, 2 American strats, and a Gibson Les Paul. in fact, if you ever find yourself in southern california its definitely worth it to check out Norman's Rare Guitars and the Guitar Center in Hollywood. the GC in hollywood has one of the best vintage guitar showrooms ive ever seen and you can pick up and play all the vintage gear you can get your hands on. ive played a $20,000 1962 strat, 58 tele, 61 ES-335, etc. its amazing. Keep up the great work man. all your hard work definitely pays off. cheers man! -Rob
Another Mechanical engineering student that is graduating in dec and working with active safety in cars, like automated pedestrian detection, in Sweden, here.... If there is someone that is not sure about engineering, you should not hesitate.... ITS AWESOME!
Wow! You go Parker! :) I'm envious...but in a good way. You set an amazing example for younger kids. Thank you for posting this. And I love you guys too. Awesome channel dude.
I think the content you produce is very inspirational and entertaining to watch. Can't believe all the haters in the comment section, they're basically jealous of what you've achieved. Keep up the good work! Love the videos! Greetings from Norway!
I truly feel this video is going to help many highschool students who watch your channel , plus its nice to know more about you considering we are all supporters of your ambition to make videos 👍
You're awesome. Good to get to know more about you! Found you watching how to drive stick videos when buying my first car a couple years back. Been watching ever since. Keep it up!
been home-schooled my whole life. very lucky i play sports and met my bros. it also got me into cars. great content guys, it was good getting to know you better.
I give you mad prop managing doing both things at the same time man. I'm 5th year accounting major at UF and it took me sole dedication to school to get both bachelor's and master this spring. You smart man.
I'm a machinist in the aerospace industry at the moment at a very large company but at some point I do want to move to an automotive company because my passion is cars and I imagine it must be a lot more fulfilling working on what you love.
Fantastic videos Parker, you're killing it You should make more content about your studies and work as a mechanical engineer. I did all the maths and science at high school and am currently studying ME at uni. Where I'm from (Western Australia), most engineers work in mining. It would be great to know what other jobs are out there. 😀
i'm studying mechanical engineering as well. i have a technical degree in automotive technology. It's awesome to see that we have something in common. I really like your channel keep it up
+Vehicle Virgins I'm one of your OG's I first subscribed my junior year of high school after watch a series of videos on how to drive a manual (without ever stalling) (class of 2018) and I'm a sophomore at UConn (Go huskies). I remember those videos with the piano and guitar over top haha. I have loved watching this channel grow and can't wait to see where it goes! And you're so right do what you love and success will follow!
this is pretty sweet. I am going into mechanical engineering next year to hopefully go into automotive industry. You guided me to choosing my first car about two years ago.

You are most definitely not like us college aged kids. 99% of us can't afford an M5, Lambo, or S class, let alone all 3 at the same time.
+ a 20 000$ watch

Does anyone else wanna hear more from Eddie?
He learnt to drive stick in Parker's E39 M5. There you go.
As a fellow Mechanical Engineer and long time car enthusiast, I just wanted to let you know I have really enjoyed your channel and wish you the best.
Are you into luxury mechanical watches or guns? My brothers and I love working on vintage cars and guns and guitars and are currently learning about mechanical watches. A lot of similarities between them all.

Parker, I really appreciate your videos and what you're doing.
You're an inspiration mate.

Mechanical Engineering ftw (ME masters student)
BMW i8 for de profile pic, great choice
+Speedy 9771 thank you
+Julian Ayala
I can give you a wiser piece of advice.
Next video : 10 things I hate about myself
+iamfranko7 lol
Glad to see a youtuber be relate-able. I also am a engineer and love cars! I need to constantly keep studying to stay on top of the game.
When's the face reveal?
In 9 months
I really want to say that it's brilliant how you organize your time between your channel and your studies. And I'm proud to say I'm one of your supporters till your huge success!! Greetings from Saudi Arabia :)
You've got a Lamborghini and can play the guitar? Jesus dude.
+parasitez49 Fucking right? I only got a manual Kia Spectra, go to work, and school. And I actually could not even play an instrument
This is by far my most favorite and most helpful video I've seen on RUclips thus far
I still don't get how you can own a Mercedes S550 2016???
+xXLegendXx70 He doesn't own the S-Class though... he's leasing it which is like $1000 a month, well within what you can earn from RUclips ad revenue. He mentioned that this channel pretty much covers his S-Class lease payment. I assume his family pays for his schooling, so he probably doesn't have too many expenses and can direct whatever money he has into cars.
Damn that's cheap! only 1k USD a month. Here in Denmark you can only lease like a new VW Golf for 1k USD a month. He is lucky...
+xXLegendXx70 Americans are lucky
Cars really are a lot cheaper here in the US, along with a lot of electronics. I guess it's because the US is enough of a major force in the market that we can demand lower prices. For example, iPhones here in the US aren't nearly as expensive as iPhones in Europe, even after you account for currency differences.
Yeah I know that the electronics aren't that expensive compared to EU. Maybe things are cheaper in the US but here in Denmark we can go to the hospital for free and get operations for free. Or I mean we pay it trough taxes but it's must cheaper and a nice service compared to the US.
Probably my favorite VV video, Parker. You're pretty awesome.
I just wonder how you maintain A Lamborghini , Mercedes and a BMW with your job on RUclips and wherever else.
Probably some investments
I am pretty sure he invested in something I don't know what though
With his views he might get 5 grand per month that's it
"Haven't played in a while" - kills it, nice tune dude
This is so weird I'm the same way how you were in school I only liked math and science and I'm getting 1 on 1 learning and we're both Parker!
illuminati confirmed
Hey man, with all honesty, you're my favorite car channel on RUclips. Your videos are exciting to watch yet professional, and you literally remind me of myself. Keep up the vids man and I hope this leads you to an insane career!
then let's get a better mic setup
+Luis Mendez What do you suggest. We are currently using a Rode Videomic
+Vehicle Virgins Don't get me wrong the content is great. I love your channel! I would check out the Blue Yeti Pro it's really good
+Vehicle Virgins eddy should tells us about himself
