Julie, you certainly accomplished a great deal and have come a long way from the early. Glad you are in touch with Mr. Greco. You are a mensch!

What a wealth of wisdom and insight for both students and teachers! Thank you both for sharing!

An amazing musician -- one of the reasons I find her so inspiring as well is because she's not shy about saying that she worked hard and can play damned well. So often, women are compelled to play ourselves down; if we have the nerve to say, "You know what, I'm damned good at XYZ," we're immediately slammed. Who does she think she is, she has a big ego, she's not "likeable," she needs humility, etc. Julie is top-notch, she worked her backside off to get where she is, and she's not going to play herself down to keep from intimidating people. She's always positive, pleasant, and encouraging, but she does not play her accomplishments down even a little bit. She's a wonderful musician and a wonderful human being.

What a warm, wise lady and a great artist into the bargain. As for Michael, if I could afford him as my psychotherapist, I would hire him.

At the MET, San Francisco, Cleveland, et al, do they make the horn players use the same mouthpiece, the clarinetists use the same reed, the violinists play the same make of violin and use the same strings? How will the violins "blend" if they don't use the same fiddles?
