Can we have Jamie here forever? Her energy is so cool and adds a different point of view from Peniel, Ash and BM. Also, Peniel, every time he speaks, I like him even more. He has a really nice personality and he's so kind, as the good way of kindness, knowing where boundaries are and reading the atmosphere. I was a bit wary about this episode because bullying is something that can touch a bit too much near to me but they're amazing
Can we talk about how Peniel was making sure Ashley knows they were joking? Both times they were like "but she knows now Im joking/ i didn't mean it " Peniel asked her "do you?" That was very pretty. Please, people, always make sure your friends knows , not just assume.
Also, I love the way BM and Ash are with each other, they act like brother and sister.

@@chocolatechip733 She was a member of the group Ladies Code, the manager was the cause of the accident and was arrested. Two members, RiSe and EunB, unfortunately passed away and the remaining three, Ashley Zuny and Sojung, were injured as well. Very tragic and terrible that people made jokes about that and made hate comments about it.
These podcasts have helped me a lot. Right now, I'm in treatment for cancer, it's been hard, and scary but everyday I watch/listen an episode and I feel so much better.

I don't know if Ashley will read this but I want to tell her that it wasn't her fault that she felt like she couldn't reply back to her ex-boyfriend. He clearly yelled at her specifically to make her overwhelmed and diminished her so she would feel insecure and wouldn't be able to fight back. I'm glad she's free of this asshole now and I hope she can shed away any remnants of insecurity he took advantage of in her.

The overall lesson i've realized is: pick your battles. There will be times where you can tell people are either hurt or projecting. there will also be times where you need to set boundaries and advocate for yourself. With time, you'll figure it out.

From someone with a degree in psychology, I honestly feel Peniel could follow through in another career that surrounds psychology if wanted :') I just love his way of thinking and his perspective of the world it's so unique and interesting!!!!
This is a really good topic to talk about nowadays, I like the way you all handled it. I would like to include in the discussion for anyone who may be reading this comment that you can ask for help, if someone is bullying you, affecting your mental health or even physically abusing you, search for help. If you don't feel safe arguing with them, always talk to someone you trust who can help you. It can be your parents, older people and teachers! As someone who have being bullied I know you may feel ashamed or even scared about showing your weakness, but it's ok to feel like that and I'm pretty sure they will understand your feelings. Don't let hate win, be yourself and be proud. :)

I remember being bullied in middle school. I was in 7th grade and I was always made fun of for my clothes and how they were too short for me because I'm tall. I got fed up and told the bully to stfu and to leave me alone. I also called her a bxtch because she was bothering me. She cried and I felt so much better for standing up for myself

I am a teacher and I never allow bullying in my class. Everytime I hear or witness my pupils started laughing at someone that it seemed like they're just playing but it got too much, I intervened. I was bullied too in my high school days because of my appearance, it was just minor but I felt it. And I don't want to happen that to one of my pupils or even one of the pupils in the entire school.
Keep it up, teacher 🙏 Protect the children!

I love Jamie, I always see her as a funny and very outspoken person, but in this you see a very sincere side to her with everyone who has experienced what she has.
Peniel is sooooo like, intellectual. He knows you can’t stop the bad parts of human nature. He acknowledges this person whose being rude is also going through their own emotional turmoil and they’re using the ability to abuse this public persona of them to vent that out. Thank you for talking about this topic since school bullying is a topic that's highlighted in the media now, especially in SK. Bullying ruins lives. The victims deserve an apology, even if it happened years ago.

I think the reason why people bully is that they experience only or too much violence at home, their parents don't show love towards them, they always act cold so their children become totally emotionless.
I was also bullied in elementary school for like 4 years straight and i never could do anything other than just laughing like an idiot. I still can't talk about it because it makes me cry.

I think the best way to say something straight to their face when if comments bother you so that they don't cross the line again. Have a good comeback at them or confront them face to face. You have to gain respect from people without being taken advantage.

I remember once in junior high, I'd just enter 6th grade and this 8th grader came up to me. She stopped me from walking and literally got on my face just to say, "Hey I don't like you. Wanna fight?" It was scary , I could feel my legs tremble and my heart pound, especially cause I was always so shy and quiet at the time. I remember telling her, I don't know who you are and dont want any problems but if you want to fight let's go. She laughed out loud with her friends and then the bell rang. I was so happy for that bell but remained nervous throughout the day. Later on I found out one of my friends who was also in 8th grade stood up for me and told her to leave me alone. From there I knew I had to toughen up and became one of the tough ones at school. Don't bully people y'all. It can cause someone's life.
Hi I listen to this podcast all the time and I'm not sure if you'll ever read this or not but I am really glad that you guys talked about this because we as fans see these haters and we really try our best that u don't have to read such comments but knowing how it affects you I think a lot of us who might respond to those by hating will understand that that's not the right way to deal with it and get better. Hey dive this has been my therapy for idk since when but I'm loving every podcast you have 😭💙
This is still one of my fav episodes from get real,it’s really cool that the are speaking about hate comments in an actually normal way instead of making a diss track. Dive studios is always so refreshing and always give idols an opportunity to show more of their personality and over all self while still talking about important and entertaining things instead of simply doing a cliche interview or show with the same overused/ uncomfortable questions that no one likes with full rights(didn’t mean for that to rhyme) It’s way more different than other Korean shows where the idols usually do the same thing,never get to have fun and be made fun of in different types of ways
I just started confronting people and that really made me feel better. Overthinking kills your soul people, so just try to confront whoever is trying to fill the negative thoughts in your head.

I was bullied in middle school, sucked being the new girl, i was fragile obviously at 7 years old and as every kid wanted to make friends, so i got close to the first two girls that approached to me and thought that it was good to be friends with girls who manipulated and treated me as a joke. I hate thinking about these people that later in high school became closer friends, i never say outloud that they bullied me cause was embarrasing and i didn't wanted to cause a big deal. It is a big deal and now at my 21, i feel the courage to confront them but only with words. Thank you for your stories, i feel less alone 🖤

This is my fav podcast. I am so happy to listen to them as they truly are not idols but just young people like me. It is refreshing. I love to listen to them while working at home cuz I feel like I am talking with some friends. I talk with my friends too but it is always nice to see different point of views from people around the world. I hope there will be more idol as open as they are. I don't know anything about Peniel and know I feel like he is so chill and wise. Bm and Ash are also so supportive and hardworking. I love Jamie back to the podcast she is so real too
I love this episode so much. I feel lucky I didn’t get bullied during childhood, just occasionally made fun of by friends and looking back I was hurt and sensitive back then. So I couldn’t imagine what people (victims of bullying, especially) get through... It’s infuriating that haters and bullies aren’t responsible of what they say and do, especially those who do it unprovoked. Hoping they get the justice and karma they deserve. I also hope the victims would cope and heal someday. Your feelings are valid but let me say there will be better days
To that last person sending in mail time, I feel you. I have a similar personality too and I tend to just walk away in most confrontations. Don't worry, it's not wrong to walk away, especially if you understand that it's not worth your time. But if it's bothering you to the point where you can't even sleep at night, sometimes, it is better to confront about it. It might be messy during the confrontation but at the same time, it might also help you train to be a stronger person in general.
I think being the bigger person is important and definitely seemed morally right but at the same time, it's also important to be honest with how you feel. If you keep bottling up so much, it's gonna eat you away gradually. It's also important to find ways to release those emotions as soon as you can before it really hinders you from doing what you want to do. Usually physical activities is the best way to release those types of emotions and I highly recommend you do that!
At the end of the day, what's important is how YOU feel about it. Ask yourself, can I really just ignore it or is it going to bother me? I also find it helpful to write out all my thoughts and re-reading them again just to see if it's worth it. Anyway, that's just how I'm dealing with it now and I hope you find it helpful! Of course, what works for me may not be for you but I hope it inspires you a little!

i really loved this episode... i was here to take a 10 minute break but ended up watching the whole episode.. haha, but i really want to say that i leart quite a lot here, there were many situations when i would try to stand up for my self, and i kinda do it but after everything is over, i find myself rethinking the whole situation and regret everything i said or did.
