This gives me flashbacks to when I realized in kindergarten that not all kids had three grandfathers and three grandmothers like I do lol...then again my parents were always really open about how my grandparents got divorced and both remarried so I never really had the whole epiphany/confused moment where I didn't know who my family was, which I'm really grateful for in retrospect.
That was the same with me the only epiphany moment was when we found out my great grandad had an whole entire other family with a kid, we didn’t find out till he was on his in the hospital dying and his kid turned up and said to my grandma that he was her sister.
I had never heard of LXX before I watched this video the other day, so I went and listened and watched his Black video, and OMG I love that song. I must have gone back and watched it like 6 times in a couple of days, it's great. And so is your show too, love you guys.
It's just like me and my brother. Both of us are adopted...BUT me and my brother are NOT blood related either. I do not have any idea who my parents are unlike my brother we know his blood-related cousins but they do not acknowledge him. For us that is fine because the parents who adopted us love us as if we are their real children. On my part, I learned my situation when I was in 2nd year high school so it was tough for me. It hit me hard and it took me almost 12-13 years to fully accept the situation and not afraid of telling other people about it.
Yup. China and SKor and some asian country. Part of confusianism culture thing that your body and all of ur being are gift from ur ancestors, including ur name..
Moms usually only change last names in western countries. In most Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and some African cultures they keep their own last names when they marry.
I have similar situation from my mom's side, I thought my whole life my grandparents are my blood relative and just found out recently they adopted my mom, my aunt and my uncle. And not a single of them have blood-related.

I took my dads last name but my mom kept her own. She introduces herself with my dads last name but on paper she never changed it and I’m Chinese btw
