Since Leon has gone pro now and we can’t see him swim at NCAA anymore I hope he goes the the us open short course meet at the end of this year and obliterates some scy records
@Michael-yb7jh dude. Leon doesn't have poor conditioning. There's a reason he's the record holder in this event. He just has a different approach to swimming longer distances than most swimmers have in the past. No one has pished the pace early in events quite like he has in the past
If I remember correctly Leon's first official 500 last year was like the next week after Leon did that. I can totally see Bob's thought process of "oh we need to see what this guy can do" at work there. One of my favorite Leon stats is that that random dual meet swim was the second fastest in the NCAA that year only behind Hobson's NCAA winning time.
To be fair, I don't really think he has to improve, but maybe you have to ;) Activate the automatic subtitles in English, they are quite good (except on specific/technical words unfortunately)
@@nuagemanfr You're right but I prefer learn by listening instead of reading ;) It's really strange that interested foreigner just asking little effort to be more comprehensive got for answer "you need to improve" ; I hope you not travel abroad to much ; I imagine asking your way to strangers and everyone replying to you "you have to improve". I'd rather imagine that english youtubers care about every follower even non-english people ;)
En vrai chef, si tu es français, il parle pas si vite que ça et articule assez bien, c'est juste l'accent américain qui est comme ça là où l'accent britannique qu'on écoute beaucoup à l'école est différent ;)
This french guy is a jewel, god....
Leon marchand second to none, this is something you will have to deal with from now on.

From a college swimmer who swam a 1:39 200 free almost 20 years ago… this is just ridiculous for a 500. I know times have gotten faster but just wow…
I thought i was watching a 3:59.99 for about half the race
Unfortunately because of his poor conditioning he was only able to close in 1:40.00 lol

@greggassen5548 I was just joking lol. It's just scary he still closed that fast after being out 1:32
Quel nageur 🏊♂️ !!! Keep him healthy for Paris in August 😊❤
I think Bob was onto something with Leon swimming 4:18s from a push

Yeah! It is impossible indeed. Or perhaps we're all Boltzmann brains!
Try to articulate for interested foreigners and speak more slowly please ;)
