Rowdy always commentates the race he wants to see instead of the one happening

The best part of this race is the camaraderie at the end and the fact Leon was swimming on the side of the lane to let his friend draft him. Definitely saved a little at the end for that 400medley relay too

Rowdy was correct indeed, he saved it for the relay, 48 split in the 100br.

Does he have a few seconds left in him💀 Rowdy expecting a 3:25😂😂😂

He just went 4:02 in the 500, it is not crazy to expect him to go 3:25, just like how many people think he can go under 4 in meters

he dropped his own record from a 3:31 to a 3:28 in the time between a mid-season dual meet and the ncaa championships. if he was focusing on going after the record there's no question he'd be able to do it. it just so happens that there are other races that he needs to consider so he has to "coast" (ridiculous to say that about a 3:32) to save energy

If you saw and commentated on what leon did the last 2 nights you'd be hyped expecting to see some shit go down here too. Rowdy gaine's haters are the types of people that go to parties and tell them to turn the music down.

I think the top comment on the video summs it up pretty well. Rowdy comments on the race he wants to see not the one he actually sees. And this is not the first time its happening. He has done this for as long as he has been commentating. You don’t need to be a hater to realize.

That commentary was a bit anticlimactic. Squeezing water out of stone.
Leon swam entire race with snoozing legs.

How was he gonna know that Marchand wasn’t gonna drop a few seconds? He clearly has improved since last ncaa’s. Do u expect the commentary to just be boring the whole time?

@@kylepham5842 Prediction and expectation didn't bother me. More like when they were drawing a line over underwater exists trying to show difference between Leon and the rest and the difference wasn't actually there, as it was just second turn on backstroke.
But generally, I like the idea of making swimming exciting, it's just it doesn't have to happen over breaking records every time. Here exciting part was that Leon swam 400IM half asleep and still was the first.
