    Lol never expected Final Fantasy Advent Children to be on their! I wish DaCosta much success after this movie, and can’t wait for her next one(that isn’t a big property)

    Regardless of how the film turns out, at least we can agree that DaCosta has great taste

      the worst director you've ever seen has way better taste than you. you don't get the reins for big projects if you don't know what you're doing to an extremely deep degree. even though we know this movie was doomed from the outset pretty much, there's no way we can pin it on her. marvel has too strong a track record of churning out poor or mediocre films even with very talented directors at the helm, like the eternals and doctor strange 2 for instance

      @Progger11 6 месяцев назад +4

      @@joedorben3504The problem is that it's become such a corporate machine by this point that any chance at an actual creative vision by a director has been stamped out.

      @@Progger11This not even her movie with all the mcu hate marvel took over this movie and change so much. I feel like the variety article try to threw her under the bus. Blame kang for antman 3 and decosta for the Marvel's. Kevin feige has no shame.

      I guess but I have low expectations because the trailers didn’t look good & also cause her previous movie Candyman the requel was awful so I don’t have much to expect in terms of this woman’s work. Especially when she beats the message over the head in Candyman & came out with a really bad movie. Her discography isn’t looking too good

      @@joedorben3504yeah, like Edgar Wright, an amazing director being pressured & rushed to make Ant-Man & then again with the sequel & so they fired him & got a different director for ant-man & the wasp because they gave him a deadline but he didn’t want to rush his creative process. It’s not even marvel’s fault, it’s Disney’s. Ever since they saw that marvel & Star Wars can make them money, they’ve been riding their backs to try & make a profit. Hiring people that didn’t even care about the mcu prior like Sam Raimi (no disrespect to him) to make Multiverse Of Madness which he even said that he had only seen a few episodes of WandaVision & nothing more instead of getting the Russo brothers back when obviously they have a track record of making hit after hit & getting better with every movie with Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War & then Endgame & for whatever reason they’ve decided to get new directors that don’t know about marvel instead of them 2 who obviously were huge fans of the comics & obviously knew what they were doing & obviously made the movie that made the most for marvel, it would be a no-brainer to have them make the new projects, but that’s when Disney’s greed comes in cause they don’t want to pay them & want to go in a different direction whatever that convoluted direction actual is by Disney. Then you look at Star Wars, George Lucas said he had a sequel trilogy in mind where Darth Maul is the big bad & the new villain for the entirety of Star Wars & he sold the rights to them because he didn’t have enough money to make the films he wanted & knew that they’d do right because they had the money to bring his story to life & what did they do immediately after? They made rebels (which is a good show but hasn’t been as good as season 2 & 3 was) on Disney plus & then they killed off Maul who was supposed to be Star Wars’ next big villain in the sequel trilogy like George planned, then they threw his plans in the garbage without consideration while telling him that they were gonna make his sequel trilogy like he wanted so that he’d sign the deal to grant them the rights, then they made the sequel trilogy with an entirely different new boring cast & made force awakens exactly like a new hope just with new characters & a different form of the Death Star (even though it’s really just the Death Star with a different name) then they made the main cast from the original trilogy into pointless cameos who never got to share the screen together & then they killed all 3 of them off, then redid Anakin’s return of the Jedi story with Kylo Ren & instead of Maul & the red girl that Lucas planned to be with him from the comics (I forget her name) … “somehow Palpatine returned”. Disney only cares about money, not about making good stories like Walt wanted it to be like. Walt would be disappointed at what his company became

    The sisterhood part is indeed spot on in the movie. The major theme here is about family, and if you like that angle (especially the Khans), you're going to enjoy it. 👍🏻
    Not a perfect movie, but fun. I kind of wish they did more in Aladna, though.
    😅
    Note: I just got home after seeing it on the theatre.

    So many great films recommended! A shame that The Marvels will be just as dull and uninspired as the rest of the MCU’s output. Let’s not pretend that unless you’re James Gunn, you will have any semblance of creative control under the Mouse.
