good review of a not so good car lol. i chuckled when it said "this is not a toy." your XXX-T really makes the Tornado look like a toy. but it does look cool, i bet the kiddos out there will love it.
Ha yeah the XXX-T is a classic, and was a high-end car in its prime ;)

On these non oil shock RC's you can try using a tacky grease and degrease the inside of the shock and put the tacky grease on the inside wall of them and it helps a lot.. I like the tamiya anti wear grease but anything super tacky should help.

You can add another set of springs on the inside..or stack spacer on the outside ..or just get stiffer springs. Then make them all in different stiffness...You have to adjust the oil fill shocks like that too. or just get a replacement oil set for $10..not a big deal.
I can make that thing go faster on 3S Li On....it's not going strip the gears..
just a little bit more gusto...More important....WAAZOOOO of RUN TIME
Li Ion batteries are cheap for,...I go to the recycling center or thrift shops
Harvest them from OLD laptops...just put it into cell holders and use
whatever proper jacks...A 2200 mah pack will give you over 1 hour
run time...easy.
Not sure what the C rating on the stock Lipo are.
You can slap 3S Lipo at 40C are greater..It'll make it go lots faster.
Faster at striping gears too and wheel's Hex nut..
Yes, wheels hex nut or the rim's hex will wear..even in expensive hobby grade..
especailly the hobby grade.lmao
Just wrap ALUMINUM TAPE around the HEX if it gets slight loose.
Hot glue it..other whatever to keep it TIGHT...but you'll be able to
make it apart again......
Keep an eye on the wheels....i think the LEFT Side.
The wheels use the fly off of my over powered tmaxx or savage all the time...
becuase hooby factory grade didnt make them REVERSE thread either.lol

My nephews love playing with my RC cars but I have to tone them way down...and they still seem to be more than they can handle. Having one of these around may solve that problem without me going broke. Great review! Keep them coming.

Oh please get it dirty!! Nice to be reminded how shock will handle when they don't have fluid in them. I noticed your Pittsburgh socket set. I've been automotive mechanic for over 20 years and have plenty of Snap-on, Mac, Matco, Cornwell, & S•K tools but I have to say I'm very very impressed with the durability of there sockets. I put them rite up there with Snap-on, no questions asked!! I'm talkn 3/8 drive 13mm using a pipe for breaker bar prying standing kickn straining cracking loose old rusted over tourqed wheel hub bolts on a medium duty pickup, all without breaking not 1 socket. I will admit I didn't have access to heat torch so it made the job longer and after 30 minutes of non stop breaker bar prying I did finally stretch the 13mm socket a bit, but I was using it wrong I should have been using an impact gun or at least a 1/2 drive ratchet. I just know if it were any other socket it would have broken sooner the way I was abusing it but I did get the job done and that's all that matters imo!! Believe they have lifetime warranty as well. Anywho great video be lookn forward to your next. Your amazing!!

RC Girl how does that shoe goo stuff work out for you. I was thinking about goin to my body shop and picking up some fiberglass filler and goin that route with my bodies. Fiberglass tends to be light weight and durable so well see how it turns out. Probably a project for the winter months. I did manage to get the 1515 sensored mamba monster x combo and a set of proline 3.8 blockade wheels to go into the sabertooth truggy, why I been more thinking about fiberglassn the body. Lol!

upgrade it with brushless combo for cheap only for $21 for esc and brushless motor. I preety much upgraded it for my son and now he is so happy that it can go 36 mph on my speed gunlol. yes it is good for a starter rc. great at video please make more video and talk more about other rc's. nice to see a girl that love rc's great video. love to see more!.

oh nice 12 scale RC, I wonder how it would go against the Wltoys 12428. this one is definitely more durable with metal gear diffs tho.
Hi RC Girl, I ordered one of these for my son and within a week I have a broken shock and steering bridge. Also, the Remote Control is no longer binding/linking with the car. I have tried sending the seller a message thru Amazon and have not gotten a response. Can you advise on what I should do in order to get replacement parts? Local hobby shop doesn't carry this brand. Wht would you suggest for troubleshooting the RC binding/linking issue? Thank you for your help and insights!

Hi!! I bought this car for my son, wondering if you have any videos, tips on how to replace the front steering linkage on this? I have the new part, but can't figure out how to get the broken part off the interior connection, I don't want to do more damage, if you have tips that would be awesome
So I got this same car for xmas and it is a great RC car. Problem I am having is my 6 year old decided to pick the car up and drop it on the front-right side tire breaking the steering link. The only place to get the parts is directly from China which means weeks delivery time.
SO my question is, is there a good site to order cars like this from the States where if needed I can get parts from the States?

The axle pins are horrible, they are 1.5mm not 2 like most they bend if you tighten the wheels to much. I was impressed it has beadlock wheels. The only issues I have had with mine are the pins fall out of the front axles right at the hub.
Not a toy when it becomes a projectile. Looks nice.
Haven't tried any jumps with it yet... but it seems safe at first glance ;)
Upgrade the shocks and tune away! Wonder if the plastics can handle it. Seemed to handle great for that price range.
The shock towers are a pretty flexible... i'd worry about them not being able to handle it. I'll look into it!

I have one of these cars and when I ordered it I tested it. During testing I gunned it but it did not stop. After testing it I tried just touching the trigger it went really fast while not stopping I realized that mabey I should send it back and get a new one I just got it today and have yet to test it

Great review!!! I have this truck and love it! We got it last year and we played with it until the snow came then we stored it (with no batteries in the truck or the remote) and now I can't get it to pair with the remote anymore. Any help? Thank you! 😊

does it have a wonky 5 wire servo ? .... thats the only thing i hate about toy grade ... i cant get them to work with standard hobby receivers .
so upgrading it becomes a huge problem .. and the wl toys L979 is probably a much better buy ... Just saying ...
Ahh I'll have to take a look and see. It would be nice to replace the receiver to have this work with my nicer radio...

Bought one brand new on eBay and it seems like a well made RC for entry level hobby grade but my transmitter didn't work at all even with fresh batteries from the store The only place to buy another controller for a reasonable price was from WLtoys website for parts replacement directly from China which will take forever to get

I should have bought one of them instead and Spend the Savings On My Own RC . I just smoked a Motor Nice good old 10x2 Team Orion Up in smoke. In my P.o.s Tamiya Neo scorcher , 😞 I need a New Motor now
I have a BL 5200kv Laying around I think I’ll shove that In and see what happens but again I need a better ESC . Have to use a Firebolt 15t for now .
A couple of observations though , Firstly No Glass of wine On the Table this time ? You can’t work on your rc cars T- Total I always forget to screw something back and blame the car after

Lacked a little acceleration punch in my opinion , it does look a little flimsy and I don’t like the screech Noise it makes ,
And I have to ask the question in all honestly would it be worth spending more money for something better ?
I'd say if this is your first car, it's a good "intro to RC" car. But if you have extra money to spend, and plan on keeping at it for a while, you can def find something higher end. But it's good for kids just starting out.
Oh and it was too early for wine this time ;)
I've spent more on tires than this whole car costs. Thinking about the batteries, chargers, and all the other stuff that's required for a higher end RC car, this one seems great! Everything included for $100! I hope she does a longer term review of it after running it a bit, see how it holds up.

sorry but I have to disagree with you, you would easily have to spend the price of the car or more again in upgrades to get it to drive somewhat like a real rc car. all an rc car of that low quality will do for a new driver is frustrate and make driving seem harder then it really is. $100 is way to much to pay for an rc of that quality when there are way better choices for the money, for $100 from one of the other online companies you can get the ZX Racing 1/16 BRUSHLESS truck which is a way better platform to start out with. from experience I've learned to stay away from any rc's that come from companies with "toy" in their name.RC Girl I thought you were a real RC'r and not someone who would just push whatever rc is sent to you like all the other yahoos doing reviews on youtube, kind of disappointing....
Instead of assuming, why don't you use this platform to educate? There may very well be other great cars for the price, even better. I'd sure love to hear them. However, I think the point of this review was to show a very simple, inexpensive car, that included everything. I'm sure if you nicely commented that you knew of another car that was around the same price range, and included everything, she may be happy to buy one and review that as well. You forget it's intimidating getting into something new, not everyone knows the difference between one thing to the next. You have to start somewhere and with most cars being $500 or more, this seems to fit the bill. I'd definitely consider it for my niece and nephews, unless you care to educate us on other cars that target the same demographic?
An arrma voltage series would be a great starter, and a much better deal in my opinion, at $140 it's a steal
