It is a pleasure to see Chinese gymnasts. They are so unique and beautiful, artistic and elegant. I love them 🥰
Absolutely. I particularly adore their leaps--switch ring, sheep, etc., which so few coaches and gymnasts include because, as very challenging skills (under)rated at D, these leaps can have fractions knocked off as quickly as the gymnast is back on the beam. But the Chinese *own* these skills and consistently perform them flawlessly.
I also love how the Chinese support on another and work as a team.
Of course other nations do the same--the U.S. this year for example!--but I'm just responding to the tenderness these athletes are showing one another.
@@karaamundson3964 I agree! Their leaps are beautiful and it's so sweet to hear them cheer for each other during their routines. There was a time when gymnasts were allowed to do that so it's great to see more teams doing it now
Tang Xijing became one of my favorites after worlds. I know she didn’t do a perfectly clean routine, but I’m also glad to see she has not made any significant mistakes for this entire competition. She shouldn’t be peaking here anyways.
This aged so well because shes now olympic beam silver medalist against all odds of making the beam final 😂😂
It’s like watching a mini Olympic beam final.
I'm so proud for chenchen from a 6th placer on the chinese nationals into an olympic champion🤧💖
WOW iii China is de best in beam all over the world iiiii amazing iiii
I was so sad when the last girl fell!! In my opinion her routine was really strong! And was one of the best!!
I personally had alot of respect for all the young girl, they are all amazing and great they all deserve to go to Olympic.
The last girl, Qiu Qiyuan (born 2007) has the potential to be Olympic Champion 2024 and 2028 :)
Please share Chengdu's Uneven Bars final video, thanks
The last girl has potential. Her moves were smoother and the transitions and finishes were better than the others.
You are right, she is world champion now
If two per country doesn’t exist, China probably has 6 out of 8 beam finalist! They’re so good.
I'm not sure if we were watching the same competition because I saw fall after fall, missed connections constantly & wobbles galore.... there was 1 great routine & a couple good ones, in my opinion.... only 1 looked ready for the Olympic stage.

@@heathermiller76 okay
And they won gold and silver 🥇🥈 at the Olympic on beam. Wow
@@heathermiller76 they may have falls and bobbles but when they hit, they're still the best on beam without a doubt and that was proven during the Olympics. Even though Simone couldn't perform to her full difficulty, the Chinese gymnasts still would have have had gold and silver regardless since they really hit this year.
Their extension is phenomenal
The physiques and figures on these Chinese girls. Wow!!! That's what a gymnast's body is supposed to look like! The precision of their moves and the bull's eye on target dismounts. The hardcore FOCUS. LOOK OUT, USA.
Gymnastics is about what one’s body can do, not what it looks like! focusing on a gymnast’s appearance is what keeps eating disorders and body dysmorphia alive in the sport.
成千上万的祝贺这些美丽而艺术的女孩。 诚然,这种成功是不断实践和努力的结果👏👏👏
The fourth gymnast had the most perfect ring elements I’ve ever seen- Anna Pavlova level.
Tang Xi Jing isn't a typical chinese gymnast. Her aura is very light and smiles very often unlike other chinese gymnast
I don’t know why I don’t enjoy watching Chinese routines anymore.
In 2008 their bars and beam routines are so fascinating to watch and o would rewatch them many times but not this
Falls and balance checks get old after awhile
watch this: ruclips.net/video/ADsFNWf-z5M/видео.html&ab_channel=HongKongGymnastics
Gotta give it to China, they’re the queens of BB
18:37 - She joins Pavlova with the best Switch Ring ever
Even better than Pavlova. Her front leg reaches higher, beyond horizontal.
I had to rewatch it three times, truly beautiful
Ana pavlova you mean?
@@ffireinthedark Yes!
flavia saraiva too
Beautiful gymnastics. Smart to do beam final like olympics Doesn’t Shawn Johnson’s coach head them now ?
Where are the coaches to pull the springboards out of the way once the gymnasts have mounted on the beam? That is a safety issue.
trust the chinese ladies to be excellent beam workers
I saw two gymnasts carrying hot water bottles, and they are wearing down coats. Must have been cool in there!
I think they are trying to keep their muscles warm. Dancers do that as well
They usually do that. Watch worlds, the Chinese often wear coats
Not necessarily... they are just smart enough to know not to perform on _cold_ muscles.
Just the other day I was wondering why American gymnasts don't have warm ups anymore that they wear until they compete...?
FYI chinese people don’t like to drink cold water because apparently it affects their stomach And also part of culture
@@JoMomma USA still do. You’ll see them slip on their pants and sometimes jacket after a rotation, especially if they were early in the roster.
Amazing balance saves gymnasts 190 and 54.
These competitors are clearly a bit more experienced than some of the other women on the team but I'm pretty sure the secret is training. After beam work in the gym every day the gymnasts stand on their toes, on the beam, for five minutes.
I'm sure that gives them a ton of strength they can call on all the way up to their cores!
I love chinese. Go forward.
Why are they all so good holy shit
like the old Marinski/Bolshoi, these kids are identified very young, i”d bet 6-10 max 11 or 12 and gymnastics becomes their job/livelihood until they get kicked out for “failure to progress” injuries, or the like.
@@flea10x6 lmao
They have bodies that fit well with beam work.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 You got that right! Not at all like the weightlifter bodies of the Americans.
@@flea10x6
They are scouted between age 3/5 & are removed from regular school to boarding school's which are sport facility run. The trainer's visit school's in out lying provinces, the parent's consider it an honour that they are chosen & hand over the kid's without hesitation. Their schedule thereafter is training 6hrs a day, it's pretty brutal. They tend not to see their parent's for month's on end, they are not encouraged to visit nor do the children have time off. Frankly, it's brutal my Western standard's the training techniques are beyond the pale. They are programmed to succeed & few fail, sadly they can & do discard many once a quota is filled. There is reward of employment for some beyond International fame but nothing that compare's to that in the West.
It's a whole different ball game for the Chinese.
My favorite apparatus balance beam
💖 Guan Chen Chen 😍
She won gold for BB yesterday at Tokyo 2021 Olympics. She was excellent.
The last girl was beautiful to watch, too bad about her fall
My thoughts exactly!!!! I felt like her routine was the best!!!! I was so sad when she fell ..
管晨辰很萌, 李詩佳美女,唐茜靖大氣
Tang Xijing...👍👍👍
Wow the last girl is so fun to watch but sadly she fell.
It’s like she’s so sure about her moves and there are less pauses in her routine, she also jumps high.
Tang Xijing is a happy sunshine
Sorry, but which one is Tang Xijing?
@@sugarysuga7689 the second girl
It makes me so mad how unoriginal the routines are. There’s an issue when like 4 gymnasts do almost the same routine in a single event final😂
Woundfull you are... Fantastic presentation 💚💛❤👍👍👍🌷🌷🌷⚘🌾🍁🌷🌷🌷
They are all cuttie squad
Omg the last girl is so cute and tiny lol
Just like diving, the Chinese all stick their landings/entries!
May I know why the top 2 finishers Li Shijia and Lu Yufei were not eventually selected for the bb event in Tokyo?
Li was injured and unfortunately not going to Tokyo and lu was in Tokyo but was out of the final for the two per country rule
Shijia was not in Tokyo. Xijing and Chenchen did better in qualifications.
I think the girl from Shanghai should deserve higher score...27:33 let me see her disappointed expression...
Good thing she was given another try👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Not gonna lie, teaM China look Fierce AF.
They don't ever remove the spring board. I rolled my ankle and had to get reconstructive ankle surgery after falling on my series on beam. They need to move them!
IKR That has always bothered me.
@Leigh L there's actually! If the board is on the side of the beam it must be removed after the mount
and yet on the UB, the coach is practically doing the routine with the gymnast because he is that close. if they do not have any confidence in the gymnast doing a certain skill, then maybe the gymnast should not be doing the skill.
I was thinking the same!
How come they have so many worth Olympians? They’re so good
i was shocked to see the packed audience
me too. many without masks. Apparently the f*ing virus is not a big problem for them anymore
Because it is a communist country is mandatory to be vaccinated is not like USA where people choose to be vaccinated or not
@@lesleyhernandez9368 I have relatives in China have not vaccinated yet, nobody is forcing you to do so, and I think East Asians regard collective value higher than private one.
Li shija was very good!!!
li shija clearly the favorite for the crowd
Of course, she is from Sichuan and the games held in Chengdu, Sichuan province.
She’s also a veteran of previous olympics, so I think they are generally rooting for her
The last girl!!!
I hope they hit in Tokio
Why don’t we see Chinese gymnasts doing Wolf turns? (which is a good thing because they are awful to watch)
Agreed!!!
Thank God they probably hate wolf turns as much as we do
Praise be!! Not a wolf turn in sight!!
Do the chinese still give bonus for sticking the landing? Cause I can't find only 1.3 deductions on Lu Yufei routine 28:00 .
domestic scoring
there was a Li Qi some years ago
5:37 isn't she he Olympic Champion
Yes the first one is quan chenchen Olympic gold winner
There is no variety and originality. Its like Balance beam produced on a conveyor belt. You see one routine and you've seen them all. And the dismounts are mostly similar.
What I see are the details in their execution... Something American gymnasts _lack_ !
It‘s the same for all countries after a changing in the points. How many wolf turns have you seen in American bbs?!
Blame the current CoP!! They make the routines accordingly based on the connections values and element values
They even dont have the music as background! so this makes them doesn't enjoy just pure pressure to win and represent their Nation
Its a pity Liu Tingting was missing
Someone knows what happened to Luo Huan, Yin Sisi, Li Qi, Liu Jingxing and Wang Cenyu ????????
it seems there are new gymnasts on top now
beuatifullll
What’s the name of the tiny one at the back?
Why they all doing double pike dismounts..? Can we get come variety please!
I think they’re trying to find the one that will be going to Japan
China has a very specific type of BB routine, its kinda similar to Rusia with UB
That last girl, whew she has potential. Whats her name?
Qiu Qiyuan
怎么Li Shijia 没去东京奥运?
受伤了
難怪,太可惜了,2024再見😊十分有靈氣的女孩!
It’s funny how they basically all do the same beam routine
It’s like with Russia and their uneven bars. The Chinese have mastered connection construction on BB
I prefer to see 3 similar beam routines back to back from China than to see 3 ugly wolf turns from the US
Yes it's noticeable, but they're pretty good beamer's
@@Aljonvill12 It’s like THE WORLD and their uneven bars...LOL
@@nathangred5181 I disagree. They need to be way more innovative and vary their skills.
I see a lot of comments saying if the 2 per country rule wasnt in place, China would have 6-8 spots on beam in Tokyo...... I feel like we were obviously watching 2 different beam finals because this final had gymnasts falling, wobbling & missing connections like crazy. I saw a couple good routines & 1 great one..... the rest looked exhausted, stressed & ill prepared.... I cant ever remember watching another national competition with this many mistakes. Several of which could have been saved but the gymnasts didnt even attempt to. Really disappointing. Just finished watching a few other nationals and neither country looked this bad. China's flexibility, all around, is great so when they do hit a skill without a wobble, it looks better than most. A couple great switch rings but nothing consistently amazing..... and I saw a few DT dismounts..... hell, Liukin was doing 2 1/2 & 3 in the 2008 olympics.... a DT isnt going far. Gives me even more confidence that USA will sweep..... so excited.
u were so wrong then xD
Go 🇺🇸 👍👍👍🎈🎈🎈🎈
Small Olympic Games 😲
why is it they cheered more for li shijia??
Since she is from the host province.
@@HongKongGymnastics2012 thanks
She is Sichuan's darling.
Do these girls look quite young to anybody else?
Hi!!! Can someone explain to me 😅 is this a national championship that happens in China?
Because I just found these videos and I didn't know this was happening!!
This year's Nationals was from 4 May to 9 May.
Why was Lu Yufei crying?
好样的
Does anyone know when the mens event finals are happening?
6:53 This is why men don't do the balance beam.
JAJAJAJAJAJAJA!!!!!! LOL
Finally femininity and grace. Everything that artistic gymnastics should be. The problem is that US changed this discipline to the horrible level. I'm afraid that in times of masculine showing off US alike boys it will be difficult to compete in Olympic Games
The sport has evolved, I don't see why women's gymastics has to be “feminine”. These new generation gymnasts are proving how powerful women can be.
Yikes
What you mean by 'femininity' is small lithe body young ladies who could be mistaken for 9 -13 year olds. Sorry but this type of 'femininity' hasn't won a major tournament in a while. The US did not CHANGE anything except the PERCEPTION of what a gymnast suppose to look like not for you of course but for many. This change is for the BEST because it requires gymnasts to do more STRENGTH and ENDURANCE training to ensure that they don't get INJURED as often as these 'feminine' gymnasts do.
@@Natalia-il8ck The epitome is femininity AND power all at the same time!!! The US is void of it here.
Wu Ran is so goofy lol
I’m wondering how old are they. These grips look incredibly young
I was afraid to be judged by saying that, but, some look like 12 yrs old
the youngest is 13 (turning 14) and the oldest is 21
east Asia people seem younger than their age
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
are they all seniors?
They are all seniors except Qiu Qiyuan.
@@HongKongGymnastics2012 thank you
@18:39 holy
Beautimous!!!!!!
I actually feel kinda bad for chenchen cuz she has hard beam routines but lack consistency
Wow - I have to say although they were great routines, I am extremely disappointed in the highly unusual lack of innovation. Basically every routine was similar to the next. The Chinese are typically so innovative on beam and huge risk takers. I have enjoyed every Olympics where you see new innovative skills, but not this time. I think coaches need to learn to be a bit more creative instead of having the gymnasts all learn the same skills.
Chinese women's team has been going down since 2008
They don't need inovate
Yes, I agree. There is a lot of wiggle room for the US gymnasts. Lots of little mistakes, may cost them some medals if the USA is on their A-game on beam.
I believe they’re doing the same bc they want to grade the perfect one for Japan
10:43 what is the correct term for this move? I call it the "ouch on my juju". I see lotsa chinese gymnasts favor this move. I feel the big ouch on my juju already.
Korbut
Bobble after bobble. Otherwise they are really good.
What happens to them if they don't make the qualification!?..just curious
🙏✌👍
Wait for next time or never.
Español
The intro music is so daunting 😆😆
Also I don't like how the man grabbed her neck at 7:44 😡
Routines are too difficult for them
The 1st girl doesn’t look older that 12
I thought the same. Was that Guan Chechen? She is very good though.
its so beautiful to watch these girls do all these amazing moves, and who really wants to see a transexual man who thinks he's a woman do the beam huh? Exactly, Nobody.
Not a single girl is anything less than tortured
Give me a break! 🤣
👏👍🇨🇳💪
biles shud be very afraid..i mean..like really really afraid.
they look stressed
Not stressed . . . . The word is FOCUSED.
These girls are clearly 13 years old or younger.
That's why we Asian always think that Caucasian's teenagers looks so old.
The 1st place Li Shijia is 17 years old.
2nd Lu Yufei is 21.
3rd Tang Xijing is 18.
5th Zhang Jin is 20.
6th Guan Chenchen is 16.
7th Qiu Qiyuan is 17.
I don't know the age of two girls the 4th place Wu Ran and the 8th Sun Xinyi.
Li Shijia and Tang Xijing born in 2003, Lu Yufei and Zhang Jin 2000, Guan Chenchen 2004, and Qiu Qiyuan 2007 which mean she is only 14.
@@ОксанаАлексеевнаМельникова i thought they were 12
none of them can beat biles on beam though.
🙄
Not a healthy Biles at least. The Chinese team are good but are inconsistent.
BS
You guys got the beginning and ending, but in between you guys are off balance and broken. Feed them more burgers 🍔 like us, 🇺🇸
Hm no way these can beat Simone biles
who said they need to. There are three medals for beams. They can still get silver and bronze if they don't get gold. Everybody has a chance if they do their best.
No one is trying to beat Simone lol
And who says simone will win, mistakes can do everyone, sure she is a favourite but their other gymnast also really good at beam.
Lmao y you’re bringing Simone here?
Simone was already beaten on beam
Những con gà chọi của Đảng CSTQ.
They all look terrified. Child abuse.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ahahah like ur own simone biles? She got ptsd cause ur American coach abused her cause she was black
All these routines look exactly the same. What IS the same is that these poor girls have absolutely no confidence. The ones who failed will probably be taken out back and executed.
Although I know hate speech everywhere, you're the bitchest one ever
Just saying ur a Pathetic loser. They had tii ok do the same so they can pick the best one for Japan.
