It would be so cool to see Chuck actually doing what he’s explaining at 18:23

I was so amazed at the Rhodes electric piano as a kid, and equally amazed by the dyno sound.
I really wish that the service or kits can be available again, together with the tri-chorus.
Thank you chuck for inspiring my music creation. I wish you good health.

So fascinating! I love hearing the stories! I only found out about "Dyno My" when I worked at a Music Store in the 90's. My manager/mentor was a keyboard player from the 60's and 70's, he told me about how you could have a Rhodes "dialed in" with that service. After learning about it, it's very interesting how the FM synths in the 80's seemed to model the "Dyno My" sound and not a factory style sounding Rhodes!! I wish this service was still available! I own 2 older Rhodes pianos, a late 60's Stage 88 and a MkIII from the later 80's with the Fender cabinet. I can only imagine how the Suitcase model I have would sound with a Dyno My Mod!! Thanks for this series!!!

When Chuck mentions Buz.............the whole Video lifted to another Level. I am one of , i don't know HOW many that have a Buz Watson Stage 73. it is from 1972. i did find it in 2018 from a G.C. in St Louis. they shipped it Upside down on a pallet ,halfway sled off .......I got it on it's Feet. And there it was, Tolex rough, but it has the 'Buz Thing' needed a lot of work. cleaned the tines , put new Grommets,Hammertips and Felts etc etc 🙂 We all are thankful to Harold and his Vision. And for sure to you Chuck, Hot Roddin' these beauties. I enjoyed as a young musician the Sounds from all the records where they used your Modified Rhodes'. Question, you worked with George Duke ? Thank you for shedding a little bit of light onto the Rhodes Story

Very cool! Love this. I'm learning piano became and interested in how sounds are created for digital pianos and sampling software. I realized that songs by Sergio Mendes and others which I always thought were Yamaha DX7 EP sounds, were actually a Dyno'd Rhodes. A Dyno'd Rhodes was likely the inspiration for the Yamaha sounds.

It's so great to, once again hear the stories and witness the same 'Monte' passion that created what might be considered a perfect musical instrument.

Such an awesome piece of history to get the word straight from the man.
I just bought a Dyno’d 1973 Fender Rhodes to really study what he did because I’m a Rhodes Tech in the Seattle Area. I’m going to look at the dampers on mine to see if I can understand exactly what he did.

Hey chuck nice to hear you talk about the story of the Dyno piano I remember back in 1980 I had a mark 2 stage with a really bad action and when the yellow jackets delivered their second album I was totally obsessed by the Dyno I dreamed of having one but I opted for a 88 suitcase that I still have it Chuck you are a genius thank you

I notice Chuck's Rhodes in tipped backward. I know that was a popular thing to do when standing and playing. But what about when playing seated? Does that angle affect the physics of the hammer action at all?
