Getting the glintstone key for Throps made me wonder how on earth the developers expected people to find this. This is well off the beaten path jumping off rooftops etc. Mind boggling to me how players even worked this out.
Tip for using the meteor of astel: have they meteorite staff in your hand you aren’t casting with, and it still gives you the damage boost to rock spells
So just to confirm if you have the meteorite staff in Ur offhand you still get the effect's?? If this is the case does it also work with other stuffs like enhance power of all sorceries from the lusats gintone staff?
I really like the upgraded meteor, using the meteorite staff seems to be higher damage than even my lucats 10, use the free FP and free hit to cast it and dragons dissappear
instead of using the meteorite staff as main, have it equipped in your left hand and use a lusats +10 as main, it will get the passive effect increase from the staff just being equipped
@@aligr3224 I do similar, keeping melee weapons and meteor on my right, and lusats on the left so I can swap fast for different situations. Can be difficult to navigate if you don’t keep things simple tho. So many spells and weapons. I want to use them all.
the scaling of Lusat's +10 vastly outdamages metorite staff...you dont understand math lol ...anyways if u want to max dmg for gravity spells use lusat and metorite staff dual weild...put metorite staff in off hand.
Just for the record, there is an easier way to get to the great oracular bubble, in siofra river, there is a pillar fallen down with an archer on it, there's a waygate behind the archer that takes you up to that spot.
Great info. I had gone pretty far without bothering to do quests…now I have been focusing on what the NPCS are actually asking me to do and getting all sorts of goodies to boot. This game is impressive, expansive, and exactly what I have always wanted an RPG to be…except for the fact that it brings out my vertigo like crazy.
This game is the first souls game Iv played and I didn’t even know what to do at first as it doesn’t hold ya hand but Iv quickly learned that it is a masterpiece and that is for real so much love has gone into it made by gamers for gamers
Trust me my friend Elden Ring does hold your hand way more than any other souls game used to. This is the first time they ever had a tutorial area where you can learn anything.
Also it isn't a masterpiece. Its the easiest souls game. They copy and paste alot of the boss fights. There are 2 gimmick shardbearer fights. I would say that this is a good souls game but in the middle of the pack personally. I think DS3 had better boss design. The world in elden ring is amazing and they did a very good job on making it an open world game but I would say there are maybe 5 or 6 bosses out of the 73 bosses in the game that are memorable. I do love that they made every playstyle viable but in my opinion it does make this the easiest soulsbourne title to come out. I just think masterpiece is very bold statement

Dude, Meteorite isn't dealing nearly enough damage to justify the total FP dump, especially when you're using Lusat's which is only a 10% damage buff that costs you an extra 50% FP when casting.

it's funny, cause in OG demon souls, the mage build was absolutely broken. Later games magic wasn't that good or rather OP compared to that. Now elden ring has definitely tickled the p spot of all magic build 😂

Would be nice if you did not skip ahead on the Academy Rooftops. You go from being on a rooftop to going through a window, but left out the path in between.
I killed thop at the very start of the game and even after going to the Church he won't come back. Legit the only NPC I killed and of course I need him for my spells

It's connected to Siofra river but a much higher area that isn't accessible until defeating Radahn. That area has regular versions of the Ancestral Follower enemies. Not the lower levels which is accessible via the deep wells that most people know of.
I am curious which sorcerys have the best utility or ease of use. Are there any that have super armor or what is best used as a close ranged quick defense and which spells are good against enemies that dodge or have a constant shield. Much of what I am asking relates to pvp as well. As OP as some of the end game spells are, it would be nice to know which ones you can actually cast when being pressured by certain mobs or players. In other words, the best damage utility spells for oh shit moments. There appears to be several incantations that cost low Faith that might be useful even for a Magic build.
@Godfather Soyboy In my limited experience going through them, a majority are not of use, they have very limited range, long cast times, high FP or a combination of the three. Out of twenty or more spells, I am only aware of 4-5 that are truly useful.
There are spells for backstabbing and delayed missiles that hit the enemies back if they rush you. You can also cast several of them really fast while backing away from knights or other mobs.
The phalanx spells are good for rushing enemies as well since they only trigger when the enemy is close. Carian greatsword can also sweep mobs in front of you.
if the turtle 2 and 3 dont spawn you can read the book over again and they will spawn again but do not fast travel durring this then they will disapair
If after you get the second key sometimes thops still won’t let you give it to him I think it’s tied to another quest somewhere. So progress and come back he’ll give it to you.
There is magical ashes of war and there really good, but there is no cave early game where when u defeat the boss there is someone who you can buy spells

Anyone who says mage build are easier has not played it enough or was overleveled anyway for that area. You have to manage distance much more in mage. And your armour is always very light so most think one hit you. Plus a good melee build does way more damage
I'm like 100ish hours in and didn't know about the turtles for south altar. I'm trying to find them but only the one to the right of the tower on the Cliffside is there. I assumed I killed the 2nd one a while ago and don't remember. But the 3rd one isn't in the air either and I can't get into the tower...

I feel off the cliff as I went the wrong way for the turtles. I was on the 2nd one and died. Now they won't come back? Tired to pass the time and nothing. Any ideas?
Faster cast time, the actual animation is slower though. Meaning while the slicer will hit quicker after the cast, you have less chance of getting cast cancelled using the hammer because the animations already started.
I won't spoil, but there will be a point in the main quest (at the former half of the game) where you can respec your character and spend your skill points differently. Also, the skills are in an S-curve, so you'll gain most intelligence (for example) in the 20-50 range and after that the results of leveling are lessened by a significant margin. So I'd recommend, especially at the beginning of the game, to go to 60 int and put like 40 in vigor. Regardless, you're not screwed. At the end of the game you'll easily have a high enough level to max out multiple stats.

7:40 you can actually recast that Hammer too, but consumes a lot of stamina, i think something like 50 points per cast.

Holy crap. I have watched a lot of videos on this game and have played it for like 60 hours, and you just showed 2 areas I have never seen.
The hammer is defiantly not faster than the carian slicer.
It's faster to cast for sure as I use the carian slicer often. The slicer's animation may be faster, but it takes longer get to cast.

you can actually do two hits with the hammer if you press r2 as you land the first hit

The gavel isnt even close to as fast as the slicer actually.. but the gavel allows for quick 2nd strike without the cast windup

glintstone pebble is really viable throughout your game i’m level 108 and i still use it

Hello for the runni dark Moon i dont see the second turtle, you know why?
If you rest or teleport, it resets the turtles, and you gotta examine the book again to get them to spawn

What gear do you use for the moon to deal over 3000 damage? I'm dealing 1802 with int at 80. I'm using the carian regal septer+9
It's likely related to the talismen, the one you get in the winter area that greatly boosts potency, etc.

The Dark Moon is not necessarily for dealing damage tho. It makes all your other spells do more damage to the target

What are your stats? I've put almost everything into intelligence and now my health lacks really hard and I feel like I'm screwed?
I won't spoil, but there will be a point in the main quest (at the former half of the game) where you can respec your character and spend your skill points differently. Also, the skills are in an S-curve, so you'll gain most intelligence (for example) in the 20-50 range and after that the results of leveling are lessened by a significant margin. So I'd recommend, especially at the beginning of the game, to go to 60 int and put like 40 in vigor. Regardless, you're not screwed. At the end of the game you'll easily have a high enough level to max out multiple stats.
