Im not a huge LS swap restomod guy but this one was done nicely by retaining the pontiac vibe with the modern GTO motor , the only thing missing is the loping choppy exhaust note from a ram air 4 profile camshaft Nice
That was my car in high school! ❤❤❤ that car. Fun to drive, blew every single car off the road that came up next to me revering their engines! They couldn’t believe a teenager, female at that beating them. Miss that baby
I thought the 70 Lucerne Blue one was nice. Love the gold on the rims and pin striping with big white stripe with nose and tail. Beautiful! Chip Foose would bow down.
Wonderful Formular!! Tasteful color combinations. Simply a Beauty!! Great rims and fine upgrades!! A real head-turning car..... REALLY A GOOD DEAL! Thanks for showing and Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹👍👍😎👌
I love the built in fender flares and spoiler. I bought a 73 Trans Am new and loved the looks of the car but never cared for the cheesy way they added the flares to it.
I sure hope that whoever buys this one rescues it by making it a Pontiac again...if you want a car with a Chevy engine buy a disgusting Chevy, don't desecrate a rare Pontiac work of art like this one!!!!!!!
Personally, I don't like the white & gold accent stripes at all. Other than that, it's a badass car. The silver color awesome!!Now, if I could only afford it...
LOVE that paint job, great colors, that interior color just clashs a bit. Went from "metal " type colors to an "earthy" leather color. They should have done it in black. Can't imagine how fun that thing is to drive with 6 gears to play with. So is that a 6.2 liter LS?? That would make it what 383 or 389?? Fantastic machine.
As a 'modern refurbish' car, it is beautiful. As an old guy that's owned 6 Pontiac Trans-Ams (plus 2 Formulas) in his life...I cringed at it, for a major reason. If it IS a 'true' 1973 Formula, there is NOTHING original on the car (paint, motor, transmission, interior, wheels, etc.)...nothing. Sad, considering how rare they were to start with. If it is NOT a 'build sheet Formula', but merely a pre-75 Firebird that's been refitted with a Formula hood, then Que Sara...but also is as 'de-valued' as if it were a restored Formula...maybe $25k tops (could easily be done with a chassis, if you have body-paint skills). The problem with 'retro-modding' an old musclecar, is akin to 'disposable car'...whether you are 'chopping the suspension' on a truck (you might put $10k into it, and like it, but you'll NEVER get your investment back out of it...no one else wants it!) or putting an LS drivetrain in a 1965 Mustang, you've SEVERELY devalued the car to those (mostly older) who have the money to actually PURCHASE THE CAR (or truck) to start with! If you doubt any of this, simply watch the prices at ANY Barrett-Jackson auction...untouched with rust will double, triple, even more, the final price of ANY 'modded' equivalent.
yes you're so right, but many people just flashing on hot colors and wheels etc. Original car enthousiast are hidden and don't talk much about there cars😉, but when they talk they know the real vallue. Cheers from a French Trans Am lover and driver

I got one more comment I'd like to make Jay. You said the engine was out of a late model so-called GTO, and I gotta say that so-called GTO is in fact a pathetic Australian Holden Commodore, I know what I'm talking about too, since after all I am an Australian!
@@chriswaldron2617 A CRIME punishable only by DISMEMBERMENT. I Sincerely mean it with my HOLE HEART... That is how passionate I am about the purity of Pontiac, you better known I mean it!
@@jasonhak4684 As much as I love Ponchos the sad fact is Pontiac is dead and gone. And the last Pontiac V8 built was a 4.3 LS5 two barrel making an earth shattering 110 hp.Sad end for a great company but there ya go.
@@burtbacarach5034 Obviously you missed the point mate! The fact is this Pontiac was built with a actual Pontiac powerplant, but some piece of shit decided to replace it with a disgusting Chevy engine. Therefore it is no longer a Pontiac, it is now a repulsive Chevy piece of crap!!!

Good looking bird.....I think......why is the guy standing in front of the car in EVERY shot. Dude, no one wants to see you. Just show the car. What are you trying to hide.
I'm sorry through a 10.5min video(discounting the intro) you are under the impression he was "hiding something". You are also welcome to check out the 124 pictures of the vehicle on our direct website(don't worry, nobody is standing in front of or modeling for the pictures). You can also come see it yourself in person. Have a inspector come out on your behalf?

$106,000 US for a car without it’s original motor and a cruddy Commodore motor, no way.
