Please make video for 3rd shots as well in doubles, such that we are more likely to get the lift. I have a general idea of keeping the shuttle low and targeting empty spots but more info would be welcome.
I’ve only just taken up badminton Last game I had was 25 years ago at school!!! Going with my Mrs and friends I’ve been watching videos just learning about the court rules and how to hit the bird. My reflexes are not fast enough yet, when my opponent smashes the bird towards me, I duck out of the way or hit the bird down giving the score to the opponent. When the bird is going fast at me I need to learn how to quickly step back and hit the bird back to my opponent. Also, I have always used the under arm swing long serve, I’m trying to learn different serve techniques
zir786 that is the point of having your non racquet leg at front. If they flick serve you can immediately start moving backwards. It takes a while to do that. Your reflexes must be quick.
Really nice coach , i would love to avoid the opponent of counter smash on me when i receive serve from a stronger player Thats why i would always lift the bird as far as high as possible You really nailed the point coach
I appreciate all the options..only question I have is since we are hitting the shuttle earlier instead of waiting for it to come to the us at the line, what is the best way to judge whether the serve would be in or short? In social playing, the serving accuracy is not that great, compared to professional.
I think with enough experience and game time you will be able to judge it fairly well after seeing the flight path of shuttle from your opponent and if it's dipping quickly after coming over the net. There's no easy way, only experience.
Yeah...I think you are right... I thought that would be the case. In social setting, I think it's ok just to take the shuttle (assume it's in) coz it only for fun but I guess if someone is playing professional majority of time the shuttle is in OR we would be experienced to know. The problem is a scientific one... Called the Schroedinger cat experiment. Coz in a game if we think it's in and we take it but we would never know whether it's actually short!!!!!!
i see you use forehand grip for all the shots? i keep neutral then use backhand but can you explain why forehand is better? also is it possible that there will be such a good shot that we cannot attack it with the 8 ways and are forced to use 9? besiudes sukamojo serve of course
All of these returns are for a low central serve. What if the serve is out wide (tramlines)? And whiat about deceptive high or fast serves to the back of the service courtto either corner, or sraight at the receiver. We are not all world champions.
Sir but what about the short serve when we are placing our foot in that area for return so there are the chances right that we will also return the short serve ?
Andy Chong says choosing a racquet is very subjective and you should try out as many as possible to see which one is best for you. Andy uses the Yonex Nanoray 700 and the Yonex Duora 10 with Nano99 strings at 27 lbs. ruclips.net/video/7JNzBRx6PAE/видео.html Also, Hi-Tech Badminton put up a good video recently about the top 10 rackets under 3000 (Hindi) - ruclips.net/video/s6VIybJwN8U/видео.html
Thank you for watching the videos. We did try adding some Hindi subtitles to a few of our videos (below) and it did not seem to increase the number of views. ruclips.net/video/IIYhSdzYb7M/видео.html ruclips.net/video/26E2tPd4Xzk/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Qq5c_gR6dAc/видео.html
If return to the back corner with pushing the bird upward motion, then you shouldn't do it. If you have enough time to push the bird downward to those 2 corner in back then pushing straight is more effective then attack the sides where every player is more comfortable to return shots like that due to more time to react vs shorter distance.
He's using a high tension racket! The sound is so crisp! ❤
Mark Torres 👍
ElDoubleG i'd say 28lbs or even higher.
Exactly the same pitch as mine @ 25lbs
Hate it when it’s like this honestly
@@ccm131 not 25 , more than it
Kudos. Best tip of this video. We come to the shuttle, the shuttle shouldn't come to us. Great video sir

OMG!
You are fake.
Excellent
thank you for the very clear instructions
great course
thats providing they serve so close. what if you have to run backwards if they serve over your head?
You can smash.
This is more for doubles.
Lewis Bulled lmao there is literally no difference between the serves of singles and doubles except for after you return the shuttle

Do to return if serve is on our back hand?
how about flick serve?
how bout return sever on left or right net spot sir ?? is that worth
2:31 this is what I mostly do. and yes the opponents start smashing me
ok, I will change the style... do the pushing
Great overview...would be nice if any finer details are explained eg second return across net...it looks a little like a deceptive shot
Very interesting videos... Thanks a lot... Please make more videos Andy Chong sir please

But at the same time when we moving forward to return serve opponent will push their service back to the third line then what will happen

Is it possible to show when u r using right hand instead of the left ? I suspect the leg position, turns and directions will be very different ....

How do you mirror a RUclips video?
If the low serve is too high and slow can i rush the net and smash or must i have one foot in the box?

So after he hits a bad slow serve i can rush and smash?
thanx coach......
very good

If the opposite person throws the shuttle far tha what shall we do

As a beginner, usually the serve is not that low. How will you return a high serve?

What is cost of the rackets
What if he serve to back corner
Is the green screen for sound proofing or to control echos
Can be done if serve comes like this much of a height. But certainly can't work with these shots if there is a much flatter serve
then what if the position of the serve change
What if they serve it high and fast
Thnk you man
Where we have to place our thumb
On the top of the grip. That cone area

You cant play midcourt return.. the server is so trigerred to smash right back.... Will work for the beginners.....
