I thought canadians being nice was just a stereotype like how all asians are good with math. A canadian professor visited my college. Apparently, he paused the lecture and started talking about something else till I came back. That's the sweetest shiz ever like oh my god.

when the comedian's routine is thrown off and he adlibs for 5 mins straight keeping the audience laughing. Have not seen anything like this since Robin Williams.
Had the same thought. He has a similar vibe to his stream-of-consciousness improv that's hilarious to hear and interested to dissect. What I really like is that he can make himself the butt of the joke, too, so you don't feel any maliciousness to it; he just wants to laugh. Plus, he doesn't mind laughing along with the audience. Some comedians don't want to "let go" and giggle, or their laughs seem scripted (which they probably are- they've done the same joke a thousand times). Drew's stuff is so off-the-cuff that he sometimes can't help laugh at what he's saying, too, and I think that brings the audience together.
This made me think about how I haven’t come across a clip of robin Williams being heckled during one of his routines (I know I’ve most likely not seen every clip out there)
I love how Drew can just make a joke out of anything and everything. Like, his superpower is Improv. I mean, he got people (including me) to burst into uncontrollable laughter just by dragging the mic stand around the stage! If that isn't pure talent, I don't know what is. XD
That's what makes him a great comedian. He's got a set of prepared jokes, but he's also amazing an improv and at using whatever situation may arise during his set to get extra laughs. That way even if he ends up re-using a joke the show will always be unique. My favourite moment of his is still when he made the double amputee's legs do the crip walk, that shit was absolutely hilarious.
I love the way he anticipates with the crowd and doesn't pretend that he's alone and doesn't see the audience. On 2:21 he sees an audiencemember sign with their hand and he used it to continue his joke. Love it so much.
