Ugh, I just LOVE the color, texture, density, everything. I’m obsessed with starter locs! Will you keep the ends loose or will you let them loc in the bud??
How do you keep them loose? Do you brush them? I’d want loose ends curly ends!
ah I’ve seen some people just keep detangling and conditioning the ends weekly to keep them from shrinking up and locing

I started in 2017 and my hair is no where near aslong as yours, had so much issues due to my hair type, breakage, loc- in at the bottom and not the top, some not loc-in at all just coming out..... etc sometimes i want to just give up but this is the journey i want to take with my hair. Only just stumbled on you and i love watching you, Absolutely love your hair ❤

I just started my microlocs July 1st! I have twists. Your videos were some I watched right before finally deciding to go with it. I did them myself.

What did you do about loose ends? I got my installed initially with palm roll/comb coils. And I have recently interlocked them at my 2 month mark(now 3 months) and I still have very loose ends. They are kinda fuzzy

I would have been four months on February 11 but I started over the 1st, but I love how yours are coming to life. I can’t wait to dye mine.
How come you started over?
I didn’t like how they were laying, I only have 54 locs because I want to maintain them myself. I dye my hair anyway yesterday.

i love your videos btw ! I want to start my loc journey and i want to know should i dye my hair before or after i loc my hair?
Before! I loc'd on 4/26/20. I knew I wanted color so even tho I had never bleached my loose natural hair, I lifted my hair right before i was ready for my loc install. It's much easier to get consistent color and deep condition loose natural hair without worrying about getting buildup. You can always dye later, but I'm very happy that I was able to get to the color I wanted before I started because I didn't want to take a chance on damaging my locs. Not all people who dye their Locs have damage but why risk it? Go ahead and do your color first.
I’m almost 8 months in and I’m so scared to dye them... 😬 I recently got braids over mine and I’m ready to take them down already. That’s how much I’m loving my loc journey....
