We lost our third born child, Hadley, 12 hours after she was born. Similar situation where we had the diagnosis and knew the outcome would not be what we had hoped for. She was supposed to live minutes at best but ended up making it 12 hours. Had we terminated like had been suggested we would have never got those 12 hours. Her brother and sister wouldn't have got to hold their little sister. Very happy to see you all as a family enjoying the outdoors. Hunting with my son and daughter is such a big part of our relationship and means the world to me. After Hadley was born and passed I fletched up a special arrow with her initials, birthday, and a bear track on it. A bear kind of became a symbol of Hadley to our family because of how tough of fighter she was. That arrow has been in my quiver since 2017. I keep a sharp broadhead on it but it will never be fired. It's my own way of always taking her hunting with me. Keep up the good work. Turtle power🤜🤛
Hi Travis. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. We are incredibly sorry to hear Hadley did not make it and are sending you and your family all the blessings we can. Please keep doing what you are doing with your son and daughter. We would love to hear some of your hunt stories! Turtle and Bear Power! 👊
You guys are heros in my eyes! What you are doing for your son is on the next level of parenthood. The adventures and lessons he's learning at such a young age is invaluable.
I can't help but appreciate this film... My son was in the NICU this past summer for 104 days and this was the first time since he's been home that the emotions of it all came flooding back in. thank you Lorenzo for telling the miraculous story of your son. I can't wait to take my little warrior Wyatt to the mountains! To God be the Glory!
Wow! Yall got me good out of nowhere. I was expecting another hunting video and now I’m failing at trying to keep it together. I’m Laying on the couch here with my 9 month old daughter who was born 5 weeks early. She did 71 days in the NICU. It’s been a wild ride but she’s doing great now! Nobody fights harder than NICU babies and turtle seems like a rad little dude.
Currently watching this film while sitting in the NICU with my son, Bennett. He is two days post OP heart surgery #2. We have been here since he was born in June. Thank you for making this film. My wife and I dream of taking our son hunting and fishing as well when we get out of here. God Bless your family. Turtle is an inspiration and a miracle!
Hey, Kyle! We are sorry to hear that Bennett is going through this. Sending your family all the blessings and good vibes. We can't wait to hear about your hunting stories with your son.
I want this film to win awards it wasn’t even nominated for. Lorenzo & Tayler, thank you for letting us into your lives in such a beautiful way. Literally. Thank you for sharing this with me and everyone else watching this. I’m going on my very first elk hunt next October in Wyoming, with my father. I’m 32. He’s 56. I was just diagnosed with multiple sclerosis this august. Time to use my preference points and make memories with dad that I may not be able to make in 10 years. Merry Christmas to everyone taking the time to read my comment. Cody
@@GOHUNT for sure! My entire Christmas list was literally all items from the GoHunt shop during the Black Friday sale preparing for that hunt! Keep on being awesome & merry Christmas to all at the GoHunt team. Cody
Life is so full of high highs and low lows. As someone who has both had children in the ICU/NICU, and taken care of them and their families, getting to see someone else's journey is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I remember old Primos The Truth Elk hunting tapes were my babysitter, and from that point I always was into elk hunting with my dad, and continue to today. Awesome video once again.
You guys are an amazing couple with an amazing child. It takes good strong people to be where you guys are at. Just another reason I choose to support GOHUNT. Awesome hunt and I’m glad you guys got a little time to yourselves. Every parent needs a little time away from the kid whether you want to or not I believe it’s necessary. My daughter was born 4 weeks early and spent a few weeks in the nicu so I understand the feeling you have as a parent in that situation. God bless you 3
Awesome video, I listened to the podcast as well. I can relate, I still remember when the doctor told me my 5 year old son had kidney cancer. Worst day of my life. Now he’s been cancer free for a few years. Completed hunter Ed and bow hunters Ed and loves the out doors. Stay positive and enjoy every moment.
As a new father of a little girl I love watching how you worked through the difficulties of having a toddler or there with you. Lots of lessons to be taken from this on just getting the kids out there regardless of the outcome.
I don’t leave many comments but couldn’t help myself on this one. You hit it out of the park for your first hunt with your kid and wife. Hunters are driven and want to provide an opportunity and go hard. Balancing this with family will always be a challenge. I love your mindset with hunting and your family. Make it a part of your lives, make memory’s together and grow in all circumstances. When my boys were 5 & 8 my wife and I took them lion hunting on Easter morning. We treed a Tom, killed him, then hiked back and did an egg hunt in the piñons, followed by the Easter story. We have never turned back
What an amazing opportunity. Congratulations on you’re harvest. I have a little boy who just turned 1. Spent 31 days in the NICU and I cant wait to get him in the whitetail woods!
Wow. Such an amazing and heart warming film. Thank you for sharing. Having met Lorenzo in college I love seeing where he has grown as a dad. Having two boys myself this film really touches Home. Like Lorenzo my relationship with my dad has always been predicated on hunting. Soo many parts of this film touch home to me. I can not thank you guys enough for this, congrats on the success of the hunt and the success of the wild adventure of parenthood.
What a story. I’m thankful to have listened to the podcast prior to watching the film. Knowing more detail on the story of Turtle made this video so much better.
This video definitely got me with the feels. First of all, regardless of what your faith is, I have no doubt God intended for the miracle of Turtle. Life has so many valleys, and so many great mountains at the same time, and it’s our paths that make us who we are. You all have a beautiful family, and it’s so cool to see you sharing your love of the outdoors with your son at such a young age!
That was pretty cool of you guys to share your story about your son. Really hit home for me. My son was born at 25 weeks 5 days. We spent 78 days in a nicu. He weighed 1 lb 14 oz. the second day of his life. Those 78 days were the longest year of my life. The window view gave me goosebumps. It is exactly the same as looking out one of the nicu windows were Trevor " little man " as the nurses like to call him was born. I really try to block a lot of it out of my head. But Trevor is 6 now and is perfect as can be. Then the hunting thing. I have spent the past two archery and rifle seasons trying to kill a buck only if he is with me. Let's just say I'm getting good at cooking tag soup! Lol. But the hunts are so much more now having him with me in the woods. And congrats on a beautiful bull.
What a beautiful video! So glad I stumbled on this. Y'all are incredible, and an inspiration as a husband and a father. God is working in y'alls lives.
So much respect! We are fortunate to have had several successful archery hunts with our toddler son. Definitely not east but the best thing we have ever done! It makes us very happy to see others get their little ones out there.
My new favorite hunt film! I’ve been fortunate to share some incredible experiences with my father on hunting trips throughout my life. Moments that we both cherish. Thank you for sharing such a special moment for you and your family. Turtle Power 💪
Love CHOP!!!! Worked there for a few years and watching kids' resilience and the parents overcome the worst cases was inspiring! love watching this! keep hammering !
You guys nailed it. This is what hunting is all about. Family, perseverance & enjoying gods country with those loved ones. Kids adorably hilarious. Wife's gorgeous & determined against all odds. Congrats man, you have won lifes lottery.
This film, paired with the podcast really makes you rethink what matters most in the elk woods. A good hunt or great memories with loved ones. Sometimes you can be lucky enough to have both. But if you only get the latter, you're more fortunate then most others will ever be. Congrats on the first bull, that dude is a stud! I'm looking forward to seeing more films with Turtle, little dudes got one heck of a natural bugle :) . T-shirt is ordered and confirmed.
Great Job making memories! We hunted most of my wife's first archery mule deer hunt this year. This video seems almost familiar. Thanks for putting it together
"Mom do it again!"....just letting a kid be a kid, easier said than done...great, unique film, thanks for sharing....first time seen a sippy cup on an elk hunt 😊
What and awesome hunt/story it definitely brought out emotions for me our son was 3 months premature my wife and I experienced the nicu life for almost four months filled with highs and lows it’s a crazy time to look back on. Happy you guys made it through with a healthy little Turtle man he had me cracking up. We got lucky a made it through with a healthy little boy that loves hunting but like Turtle has a hard time keeping quiet lol. They’re little miracles.
Awesome video !! I remember hunting with my parents down in South Texas for nilgai. I just remember going with my dad on a stock and him turn around and saying baby steps to be extra quiet. And sitting at water hole playing in the sand with my toy. It’s great memories.
Amazing story. Thanks so much for sharing it with the world. Congrats on your bull. So glad you found him again. Simply amazing. Elk hunting …..there is no substitute for it.
This is the best hunting video I’ve ever seen for many reasons. Love the turtle! What amazing and blessed parents…and Turtle is so lucky to have you both. Secondly, where in the Jurassic Park Elk Mountains is that! The number of Elk and bugling is like nothing I’ve ever seen! God Bless…
I appricate you're sharing this! I hope you have many years of hunting ahead. I firmly believe that the whole demographic of this country should see this story and video!!!
